Vampire Primogenitor In Tokyo Ghoul Universe

Chapter 29 - Tokyo Rages While The Human Trials Begin.

The sounds of a piano filled the luxurious living room as Muri sat before a grand piano and played a jazz musical piece with graceful skill. The jazz song he was currently playing was called 'When Sunny Gets Blue' which was written by Marvin Fisher and Jack Segal. The piano instrumental version he was currently playing was one he'd heard performed on a recording by McCoy Tyner (A/N: Check it out, it's great). Even though nowadays Muri had much less free time, he still made time everyday to play and listen to his beloved jazz and soul music. Playing them on musical instruments or listening to them on a record really helped relax him and it also subtly reinforced his mind. He had kept on training his mind everyday as his instincts deemed his consciousness to be the main source and foundation of his strength. Everything else including his soul, amount energy and body strength could be strengthened through the absorption of various living and nonliving organisms, however his mind/consciousness could be strengthened only through training. He knew one of the major benefits of strengthening his mind was a direct increase in his control and ability to adapt to his newly absorbed powers or energies. Playing musical instruments was one of the only things he could do apart from visualization exercises and meditation that showed slight benefits when it came to strengthening his mind/consciousness. Therefore he'd had his childhood grand piano moved from the Sunlit Garden, where it was gathering dust, to his spacious luxury apartment in the 1st ward. The piano was one of his favorite musical instruments to play and he took the time out every morning to play it when he woke up. He was currently dressed in only a pair of grey sweat shorts and had his chiseled torso bȧrė. He sat in front of the grand piano and continued playing when he sensed someone sneaking up on him. He continued playing and pretended to be unaware of the person's presence when he felt a pair of female hands glide over his shoulders and head down to ċȧrėss his wide bȧrė muscled ċhėst. Kiyoko Aura stood behind Muri as she bent down to ċȧrėss his bȧrė ċhėst while pressing her brėȧsts on the back of his head. She was currently clad in a short dark blue satin robe with white and pink floral patterns. She wore the robe while fastening it loosely, revealing much of her impressive brėȧsts and deep cleavage. "You play the piano so beautifully. A part of me thinks it's a shame no one else can hear such an enchanting harmonious performance but another part of me selfishly wants to keep this experience all to myself." Kiyoko said in a sultry tone as she embraced Muri from behind, her soft warm ample brėȧsts pressing into his bȧrė back.

Muri's relationship with his mentor had come a long way since the day they'd met and was interesting to say the least. The morning after their first hookup in her office, she'd asked him to keep what happened between them. She'd claimed that it was only a one time occurrence and she would appreciate it if he gave her some space from now on. Muri didn't bother arguing as he could tell she was only trying to put up a professional facade as his boss. He'd given her the space she needed for the next eight days by staying out of her office when she turned up at his apartment door late one night on a Saturday. She'd blushed at the knowing smirk on his face before she took his hand and dragged him to his bedroom where she rode him to multiple explosive ȯrġȧsms throughout the entire night. The next morning as she cuddled into his embrace, she'd told him the reason she'd tried to push him away by asking for some space and putting up a cold formal facade. Turned out when she was younger, while she was in the training academy she'd met and fallen in love with a fellow cadet. They'd married not long after graduating and entering the CCG as investigators. Things were going well and she was the happiest she'd ever been. Unfortunately less than three months after their wedding, her husband was ambushed and killed while alone on a case by a wandering ghoul. His death had broken and enraged Kiyoko who in her fury had tracked down the ghoul who'd killed him to exact revenge. Luckily for her she'd had comrades who'd cared about her wellbeing and supported her in facing off against the ghoul, if not she'd probably have ended up just like her deceased husband. As she'd knelt before the corpse of the ghoul that took her husband from her, she'd cursed her weakness and inability to take vengeance without the help of her comrades. With tears in her eyes, she swore to get stronger and become able to eliminate any ghoul she came across. From that day on her demeanor changed to something cold and formal, she rejected all romantic advances and remained single as she revolved her life around eliminating ghouls and training to get stronger. With her work ethic, she quickly moved up the ranks and became the first woman to become a Special Class investigator as well as the CCG's Division 1 chief. For more than 20 years, she'd closed herself off from all forms of romance and thrown herself into her work but meeting Muri had awoken something in her she'd thought she'd lost. The feeling had crept up on her and had fully emerged the night they'd had sėx in her office. Her trying to push him away was just her trying to protect herself from more grief in case he too died while on duty, after all being an investigator was a very dangerous job with a high mortality rate. She didn't know if she could handle another heartbreak if he died as well after she allowed herself to fall for him. She'd resigned herself to being alone for the rest of her life and was going to suppress her emerging feelings for Muri when she found herself going through his personnel file everyday. She found herself going through his daily performance reports to keep tabs on him and it dawned on her that she was no longer that weak young woman who couldn't even take revenge by herself. She had come a long way to become this strong and was fully capable of protecting her loved ones by eliminating any ghouls she came across. Also, Muri was different from her dead husband as he was a prodigy who became an Associate Special Class Investigator before the age of 20. No ordinary ghoul could kill him and he'd proven he had what it took to protect himself from the dangers of the job and not die leaving her to again become a heartbroken grieving widow. Upon realizing this she'd berated herself for her irrational and emotional thinking, she'd wanted to immediately rush over to Muri. However she was ashamed of the way she'd treated him and had spent the next few days hesitating before finally turning up at his door on a late Saturday night after ingesting some liquid courage. She'd been afraid he'd slam the door in her face and reject her after the way she'd tried to push him away but her heart soared when she saw the smirk on his face and gazed into his starry golden eyes. Muri listened to the end as Kiyoko meekly explained herself and her actions before sliding his hands across her ample ċhėst. He smiled as he took her soft lips while groping her ample brėȧsts and reinserting his rod into her slick tunnel. She mȯȧnėd into his mouth and they resumed indulging in the pŀėȧsurės of each other's bodies. Since then, they'd kept their relationship on the down-low, having afternoon quickies in her office and sneaking French kisses when no one was around. They typically ended the day in each other's apartments and were doing all they could to keep their affair secret.

Currently, Kiyoko had stayed over for the night and had woken up this morning to find herself alone in bed while Muri was in the living room playing jazz on his grand piano. Her dark blue hair was tousled into a sėxy bedhead look from a night of pleasurable activity as she'd strolled up to him in a short loosely fastened satin robe and embraced from behind pressing her ċhėst into his bȧrė back. Muri could tell she wore nothing underneath the satin robe. He finished playing before pulling Kiyoko onto his ŀȧp facing him, "Seems like someone wanted to play early in the morning. Allow me to reward you for patiently waiting for me to finish playing the piano." Muri said in a low volume as he took Kiyoko's lips and inserted his rod into her already wet tunnel. They were about to fuċk in front of the piano when out of nowhere Kiyoko's phone started ringing. They paused, internally debating whether they should ignore it. Eventually, Kiyoko couldn't fully suppress her stellar work ethic and climbed off Muri's slick rod to pick up her phone. She was curious what could possibly cause her phone to go off early Saturday morning, Muri already had an idea of what it could be as it was about time someone noticed the attacks on the CCG Training Academies across Tokyo and raised the alarm. He heard Kiyoko in the next room as she picked up and receive the call with a formal tone in her voice. She talked on the phone for a while before walking back into the living room with an aura of cold seething fury. Muri felt it weird that he'd inadvertently ċȯċk-blocked himself from morning sėx.

They both arrived at the CCG headquarters tower within the next half an hour after a shower and a change of clothes. Kiyoko had resumed her cold, professional demeanor dressed in her normal dark suit. Her dark blue hair was back into a bun as she exuded an air of seething fury and seriousness. Muri wore a dark grey slim fit waistcoat and matching fitted trousers over a light grey long-sleeved shirt with a black tie. He styled his dark medium length hair into a comb over and put on a serious expression due to current situation Kiyoko had told him about on the way here. They walked into the CCG conference room to find Yoshitoki Washuu sitting at the head of the conference table and discussing with Kishou Arima who sat to his left while six hooded figures stood behind him. Muri surmised the figures to be the members of Arima's squad also known as Squad 0. Kiyoko and Muri were the first to arrive after them as the other Special Class Investigators we're rushing to ȧssemble their squads and make their way here. Kiyoko had already contacted Hana and Momo on the way to meet them here. Kiyoko took a seat on Yoshitoki's right while Muri stood behind her whilst leaning against the wall. Muri nodded in greeting to both Yoshitoki and Arima before retreating into his mind to engage in visualization exercises as they waited for the remaining Special Class Investigators to arrive with their squads. The only sounds in the room came from the muted discussion between the three seated individuals. The next to arrive was Itsuki Marude, a slim middle aged man with short black hair dressed in a formal suit and tie. He served as the Chief of the CCG's 2nd Division which was also known as the Intelligence branch and was responsible for logistical support and strategy. His Division members was in charge of supporting Kiyoko's 1st Division members by providing orders or information.

By his side was his primary subordinate, Katsuya Mabuchi, a man with brown disheveled hair and distinctively large buck teeth. Itsuki walked in to take a seat beside Arima with Katsuya standing behind him. Arriving soon after Itsuki was Yukinori Shinohara, a middle aged, bulky man with short black hair, a large nose, a wide chin and a beard. He wore the standard CCG dress code of a formal suit and tie. He came in on his own and took a seat next to Itsuki. Ten minutes later, the last two Special Class Investigators entered the conference room with their squads, Iwao Kuroiwa and Mougan Tanakamaru. Iwao was a large stocky middle-aged man with a square face, thick eyebrows and round eyes. Mougan was a heavy-built middle-aged man with black eyes, black hair styled in a pompadour, and a neat mustache. Both investigators walked in with squads of at least five investigators each. Following behind the large group were Hana and Momo who finally arrived to stand beside Muri. Both Iwao and Mougan took seats at the conference table beside Kiyoko with their squads standing behind them. The conference room was silent and filled with a grave atmosphere as no verbal greetings were made, only nods of acknowledgement. Today was a dark day for the organization. Now that all the special class investigators were present, Yoshitoki directed all personnel in the room below Special Class rank to the adjoining room so the meeting could begin. Muri and the rest left the conference room where the seven seated Special Class Investigators were about to discuss the troubling news they'd woken up to this morning.

Tokyo has awoken to tragedy as alarms were raised when people noticed that CCG Training Academies across Tokyo were broken into the night before with several dead and more missing. The majority of those missing were the young cadets who were training to become part of the CCG when they graduated. The staff stationed at the CCG headquarters were confused and horrified as multiple reports came in from the academies about their students being abducted. Frantic parents and family members who survived the night called into the emergency line to report the abduction of their loved ones. Tokyo was in a panic as the event dominated the early morning news. Footage of the various Academy sites littered with corpses spread across social media and the internet. Civilians woke up to the news and were quickly riled into outrage with hashtags calling for the rescue of the young cadets and the resignation of whoever was in charge of the security at the Academies. The CCG took an hour to send out a public statement condemning the culprits and promising to bring them to justice while rescuing those abducted. There were a media storm surrounding the tragedy as politicians and advocates stepped forth to condemn the CCG for its recklessness in handling the safety of their future generation. Anti-Ghoul advocacy groups were calling for a widespread hunt and were encouraging all civilians to report their neighbors if they saw something strange. After putting out the statement, the CCG shut out the media circus and sent out personnel to investigate the abduction sites for any clues. Early analysis of the crime scenes had revealed the culprits to be ghouls but currently the CCG had yet to figure out why the cadets were targeted exactly. The CCG had no idea what reason ghouls could possibly have for targeting and kidnapping students of the academies. If it was just to strike a blow against the organization, they could have just slaughtered them on site rather than go through the trouble of abducting them. Due to the coordinated nature of the widespread attack, the CCG had reason to believe this was done by a large organized group of ghouls who were probably the same ones who destroyed the Cochlea facility. Tsunesyoshi Washuu was enraged the moment he'd gotten word of this attack since it reflected negatively on the organization and the Washuu Clan leading it as one that couldn't even protect their seeds. He'd immediately summoned Yoshitoki and berated him before ordering him to get to the bottom of the issue before organizing a swift vicious retaliation. The rest of the CCG's higher ups were confused at the motive of this attack which showed no clear purpose apart from ruining the organization's credibility. They'd focused increased security measures on the CCG ward branches and neglected the Academies since they didn't think it would be necessary. After all, why specifically target harmless CCG trainees rather than ordinary civilians since the former would only attract widespread attention and enrage the organization into taking drastic action. These thoughts ran through the minds of the seated Special Class Investigators in the conference room as their subordinates filed into the adjoining room, the meeting was about to start. Muri walked into the adjoining room and took a seat on one of the many chairs set up in the room. He turned to properly greet Momo and Hana who sat on either side of him. They hadn't had much chances to work together since Kiyoko was normally busy in her office with paperwork and Muri preferred to hunt ghouls on his own. The only times they worked together was when they were required to work together as a squad to participate in medium scale operations involving multiple squads. It was during these occasions when Muri had to work and socialize with other investigators in the CCG. He always put up a friendly and charming persona when it came to interacting with Investigators on the other squads, only allowing his vicious side to come out during combat as he decimated the ghouls they were raked with eliminating. His performance and disposition during these operations had gained him the respect and friendship offset of the investigators he worked with. He sat between his squad teammates as several investigators came up to say hi and catch up with him. There wasn't much to do as they waited for their squad leaders to finish the meeting so this period became a time for the investigators to socialize among themselves since it seemed they were about to work together. Muri received each investigator with a smile and nod when he sensed someone staring at him. He turned to the direction where the state was coming from to find it came from the isolated hooded members of the Arima squad. The person staring at him immediately looked away the moment he caught her staring at him. Muri smiled before standing up and walking over. "My, my, I didn't know I'd find a childhood acquaintance here. What's wrong Hairu? Too shy to come say hi to me?" Muri teased with a smirk as he stood before a member of the six hooded members of the Arima squad. "Senpai, I'd rather not get ahead of myself in case you didn't remember me and I end up embarrassing myself in front of everyone. After all you've come a long way from the gifted, studious child I hardly knew and interacted with back then to now being the fast rising star of the CCG. Forgive me if I don't want to seem overfamiliar and paint myself as another one of your rabid female fans." The hooded figure spoke politely with a female voice as she pulled down the hood to reveal an attractive young woman with straight light pink hair cropped in an angled bob. She had very delicate features and a sleepy expression with heavy-lidded eyes. She had a light polite smile on her face as she greeted Muri. Muri recognized this young woman from afar as Hairu Ihei, a fellow alumni of the Sunlit Garden who two years younger than him. He hadn't seen her since he graduated from the place and so was surprised to see she had joined the CCG as a member of Arima's squad. "Forgive me for intruding on your reunion but I take it you grew up in the Sunlit Garden with Hairu, correct? It's a pŀėȧsurė to meet you, I'm Associate Special Class Koori Ui. It's an honor to meet a talented individual such as yourself. We've never had a chance to properly meet whenever our squads worked together so I thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce myself." The individual sitting beside Hairu said in a polite casual tone as he too pulled down his hood and reached his hand out in greeting. Muri reaches out as well and shook the hand while observing the individual attached to it. Koori was an androgynous looking young man with a glossy black bob that fell to his chin level. His fringe reached his eyebrows and framed his eyes as it sat upon them. He had dark brown eyes with a pale skin tone and a skinny wiry body. Muri knew of him as Arima's protégée and ȧssistant squad leader of the Arima squad. Similar to Muri, Koori Ui was also at the rank of Associate Special Class Investigator. He was the one who tended to attend the Special Class Investigators Meetings when Arima couldn't be bothered to attend. Muri outwardly showed excitement at finally getting to meet him before he sat down near the squad and spent the rest of the time in the room catching up with Hairu and discussing the recent ghoul events with Koori. He also was introduced to the other members of the Arima squad but theirs was just a curt greeting with none of them pulling down their hoods. The investigators waited in the room for close to an hour when finally their squad leaders finished the meeting and came to get them. Muri stood up when he saw Arima walking towards him and the Arima squad members with Kiyoko behind him calling for Muri to follow her. Arima acknowledged him with a nod as Shiki was about to walk past him, though as he passed him by, Arima warned him to be careful out there and not to die. Muri chuckled and replied "You too" before following Kiyoko, Hana and Momo as they left the room. Kiyoko filled them in on their next course of action as they suited up for battle and walked out of the headquarters tower. Apparently, all Special Class Investigators were to immediately move and perform a sweep of wards 1 through 6. They were tasked with hunting down and eliminating every single ghoul in the six central wards of Tokyo. Afterwards the remaining Trainees from the Academies across Tokyo would be reassigned to the Academies in these six wards. The plan to eliminate all ghouls in Tokyo was partially being moved forward. All squads led by Special class investigators were to root out and eliminate any and all ghouls hiding among the civilians of the six wards while the other squads were tasked with searching all over Tokyo and investigating the disappearance of the abducted cadets. The Aura squad was tasked with cleansing the 2nd ward. They would be ȧssisted in their task by some of the squads stationed at the 2nd ward branch as well as the clues provided by civilian informants. Muri felt today was going to be a very long m, bloody day.

Meanwhile, back at the Aogiri Tree headquarters in the 24th ward, Shiki was excited in the lab as a procession of bound and gagged CCG cadets were being brought in by the squads who'd just returned from the abduction operation. Shiki couldn't keep the smile off his face as his human subjects were finally here and were being arranged along the lab walls. Each of them had their limbs restrained and their mouths gagged as they were being chained to the wall. Shiki could hardly wait as he carried off one of the cadets to his personal lab the moment the ghouls were done and had left. Kanou was also excited as he too couldn't wait to begin human trials but he took the time to first observe and put down the exact details of the current status of each of their captives. He started of with a round of tests for each of the abducted cadets by examining their blood, weight, height, saliva, dna, skin cells and nails. He intended on taking his time before diving into transplant kakuhou into these quality human test subjects. As for Shiki, he couldn't be bothered about any of that as he could easily discover their dimensions and other statistics with his heightened senses. As for things such as their blood and dna, who the fuċk did you think he was? He could do all that in his sleep with a taste of the target's blood. He set his first human subject on the operating table and bound him to it as the young male cadet struggled with fear and pleading in his eyes. Shiki ignored it as he fastened and secured him to the table before walking to his lab's storage unit and withdrawing a perfectly preserved Kakuhou organ. He'd found with utmost care he could preserve and store kakuhou organs in a way that he could bring it out when he needed it and it would be just as fresh as if he'd just dug it out of a ghoul's body. Shiki also brought out his surgery tools and placed them beside the operating table. Finally he brought out a vial of his serum and attached an injection needle to it. He walked up to the operating table with a grin on his face. "Don't worry, this will only hurt a bit" He ominously said and he used the needle pierced the skin of the man on the operating table and injected the contents of the vial.
