Vampire Primogenitor In Tokyo Ghoul Universe

It had been a trying year for the city of Tokyo and its citizens. Shortly after the abduction of close to a hundred young men and women who had identities as cadets attending the CCG's Investigator Training Academies, the CCG had retaliated in full force by sending out their top Investigator squads to clear out all the ghouls in the 1st to 6th Wards. It had been a bloody couple of months with civilians turning on each other and reporting their neighbors who they suspected of being or harboring ghouls. Those reported were then immediately investigated using invasive methods and executed if they were in fact proved to be ghouls. The media coverage around the event was a circus highlighting both negative and positive reactions with human rights advocacy groups condemning the violent and intrusive measures taken by the government as a childish overreaction that contributed nothing in the effort to rescue the abducted men and women while Anti-ghoul Hate groups applauded the CCG's hardline and vicious approach in the pursuit to rid Tokyo of the god forsaken ghouls once and for all. The city was cloaked in a tense atmosphere of bloodlust and animosity for months as the news gave daily reports on the CCG's campaign to systematically root out and eliminate all the ghouls in Tokyo starting with those in the 1st to 6th wards. The campaign caused a widespread exodus of ghouls from the wards surrounding the 1st ward where the CCG's headquarters was located. The wards were flooded with blood and corpses as the CCG's top squads searched high and low eliminating any ghouls they came across. There were no mistakes nor misconceptions about it, the CCG was out for blood, and a lot of it. This campaign was seen clearly as a move by the CCG to reassert their dominance over the ghouls of Tokyo and all of Japan. Once they'd cleared wards 1-6 of any ghouls and were convinced the wards contained only humans, the squads paused their campaign and returned to headquarters. It had been a long, blood-soaked few months for the extermination squads. They'd relentlessly rooted out and eliminated any ghouls in their vicinity and unknown to the public they'd also eliminated the humans harboring them while charging them with the crime of being ghoul sympathizers. The CCG called back its war dogs to rest and bide their time as they planned the next steps in their mission to wipe out all the ghouls in Tokyo. The CCG had their eyes on the ultimate goal of cleansing Tokyo of this menace and were especially wary of the 24th ward. The Washuu Clan and the rest of the CCG's higher ups weren't sure their forces had the stamina to wipe out all the ghouls in Tokyo in one go, so they'd decided to take their time and sharpen their blades as they lay in wait for the day that the CCG was finally prepared to wage the ultimate war against the ghouls.

Meanwhile, Shiki was busy in his underground lab in the 24th ward where he'd perfected the procedure for creating artificial half-ghouls. It had taken some trials and the loss of some test subjects but he'd eventually perfected the serum that transmuted the human body to a state where it could be compatible with a kakuhou organ being transplanted into it. His serum violently pushed the body to its physical limits before he transplanted the kakuhou organ which could then perfectly merge with the body, thus creating an artificial one eyed ghoul. The serum he'd created was only capable of working on those with bodies strong enough to handle the strain of the transmutation. Kanou had switched from working in his own lab to ȧssisting Shiki with his work once he'd perfected the serum and procedure. Once they succeeded, they'd begun harvesting kakuhou organs from Rize and transplanting them into their human lab rats to create more artificial ghouls. They held off on making more than ten since they wanted to run some tests first on their new creations and observe how their bodies reacted to different external stimuli. Both men put their recently created artificial ghouls through torture in the form of a series of tests including amputation, decapitation, mincing, blinding, extraction of sensory and internal organs, burning, freezing, electrocution, deboning, flaying, drowning etc. During these tests they'd lost a lot of their newly created artificial half-ghouls and thus had to create more. These tests were not done for the purpose of sadistic entertainment but rather to test the capabilities of the newly created artificial one eyed ghouls. During the tests, they discovered that the artificial ghouls had the same strengths, use of kagune, invulnerabilities, regenerative capabilities, and weaknesses of a normal ghoul but they'd also discovered that the artificial half-ghouls had the added ability to grow stronger the more they were wounded and underwent regenerative recovery. This added on to the fact that they could also get stronger like normal ghouls by cannibalizing other ghouls, the scientists felt they'd stumbled upon the discovery of a new species. This was a marvelous discovery for the scientists as they discovered that the artificial half ghouls had the innate ability to rapidly grow in strength, power and overall physical capabilities the more they were seriously harmed and recovered from the near fatal wounds. RC suppressants still worked on them though they required much bigger and stronger doses due to the monstrous metabolism of the artificial half ghouls that could easily burn through RC suppressant doses that could take down a regular ghoul. Shiki and Kanou were excited at their discovery and set to work on finding new ways to improve their newly created species, the artificial half-ghouls and find ways to turn normal humans into half ghouls rather than just those with strong enough bodies. They'd discovered a clue to mankind's path to evolution which could lead to the eradication of diseases and deaths caused by them as Kanou had eloquently put it as he'd toasted Shiki in celebration at their breakthrough accomplishment. Mankind had always hated and feared ghouls because they were seen as the inevitable next step in evolution but Shiki and Kanou had discovered a way to take humans along for the ride rather than being exterminated by the superior life forms known as ghouls. They isolated themselves in the lab working day and night on this venture with their only visitors being Eto and Tatara. Both were very impressed with their results with Eto especially pleased as she requested one to play with. Shiki had permitted it, provided that she worked out a way to mould the minds of their newly created artificial ghouls into becoming their obedient soldiers and minions. They'd already tried to control them through the use of drugs and invasive brain surgery but artificial half-ghouls had either burnt through the chemicals too quickly or had the surgery's effects erased once their regenerative capabilities were activated. The only things that were currently preventing the newly created half ghouls from trying to escape was simply fear, confusion, massive doses of RC suppressants and most importantly, Shiki. In the beginning, when one of the more powerful imprisoned half ghouls had quickly burnt through the daily dose of RC suppressants and had immediately tried to break out and escape, it had been Shiki who'd effortlessly beat him down before ripping him in half before all those imprisoned to serve as a warning to those thinking of escaping. Shiki and Kanou had held off on creating more artificial ghouls until they'd invented a way to control them. They hadn't tried psychological torture as a means of brainwashing because it required too much time, effort, skill, patience and subtlety. That was why Shiki had delegated the job to Eto who was a master manipulator and professional in the arts of physical and psychological torture. Plus she seemed to enjoy doing it, so Shiki had tasked her with creating a way to psychologically break and remold the minds of these ghouls into obedient slaves in as short a time as possible. Shiki knew he could simply control the half ghouls with his mind but he wasn't going to do that and reveal an ability no one else in this world apparently had. It wasn't worth it. Instead he focused on creating a mind control serum while they worked on a serum that could transmute any ordinary human's body into one that was capable of ȧssimilating with a kakuhou organ transplant.

Shortly after his 21st birthday, Shiki had gotten word from Itori through Tatara of a growing concern and threat to the Aogiri Tree organization. She'd claimed the problem was something that could lead to the utter destruction of the ghoul organization and she'd caught word of it through her information network. Shiki had decided to pause his research and rush over to the Helter Skelter bar to find out more detail on the rapidly developing situation. Upon arriving and being enthusiastically 'greeted' by Itori, they laid in bed as she'd informed him that Aogiri's abduction of the CCG's cadets had upset the upper-class society of ghouls in Tokyo. This was due to the fact that the CCG's vicious retaliation had forced these aristocratic ghouls deep into hiding and disrupted their lavish daily lifestyles of gluttonous feasting parties that included blood sports entertainment as well as premium auctions where quality body parts were sold to the highest bidder. This secret society of high class ghouls controlled Tokyo's Underworld and had connections to an extensive black market and human trafficking network which they used to procure their victims. It turned out that Itori and Souta had dealings with these people and there was a growing consensus among them to track down Aogiri Tree's leaders, kill them and disband the organization as punishment for their actions. Some also called for the society to gather information on the organization and send it to the CCG as an anonymous tip so as to focus the enraged organization's attention on Aogiri Tree. Suffice It to say that Itori's news that an organization he'd spent so much time building up was being plotted against by a bunch of posh, snobby ghouls really ignited Shiki's thirst for blood. Itori had also told him that the society was unaware of the fact that the Clowns had a connection to Aogiri Tree or even that one of their members was one of the high ranking leaders. The next day, Shiki had called for a clown meeting where he'd received confirmation that all members of the Clown group were in full support of him and would fully aid him in solving this issue. They discussed ways to deal with this problem when Souta mentioned there was a huge secret society gathering coming up where the upper class ghouls would vote and finalize their decision on how to deal with the Aogiri Tree Organization. The lavish event included a live human auction, gladiator matches where the guests could eat the flesh of the freshly killed human victims, and finally a private meeting over some vintage blood wine where a vote would be taken on the method they'd use to deal with the Aogiri Tree Ghoul organization. The Clowns were offered a job as security for the low profile event as they'd had success with such business transactions in the past. Shiki sat there and thought on whether to personally show up there and carry out a massacre before deciding it wouldn't do much good as it would only further antagonize the remaining upper class society of ghouls and could lead to the expulsion of the Clowns from the black market and information network. The black market was where Shiki got most of his funding and medical supplies for his experiments and the Clowns being expelled from it would cut off any distribution channels he could possibly have for rare, hard to get commodities such as RC suppressants, contraband chemicals, explosives, etc. Also with Itori being expelled from the information network, the group would be moving around Tokyo blind and could be targeted and reported to the CCG by some high class ghouls parading as humans. Shiki thought hard to come up with a plot that satisfied his requirements. He'd eventually come up with a plan and had Uta accept the security job for their group before turning to Souta. He had Souta drop an anonymous tip to the CCG with the time, location and nature of the secret ghoul society gathering. This would lead to the CCG planning a large scale operation involving multiple squads with the main aim being disrupting the gathering and wiping out every ghoul there. The meeting was adjourned and the Clowns set to work preparing the stage for a bloody massacre at the upper class secret society's next gathering.

Shiki had infiltrated the gathering as a member of the Clown's security force with his standard clown mask. It was a black resin mask with crimson red demon horns protruding from the top of the mask, a bright sharp toothed clown smile, a red clown nose painted on in the middle of the mask and in place of the eyes were two bright crimson ouroboros symbols with a drop of blood each painted in the middle serving as irises in the center of each symbol. He'd changed his hair color to crimson and wore it in a swept back hairstyle. He wore a crimson tuxedo blazer over a pair of black slim fit dress pants, a pair of black Oxford shoes with reddish tints, a black dress shirt and a crimson bow tie. He looked dapper as he was ȧssigned to be the security detail of the gathering's organizer in a secluded section where he could overlook the huge coliseum like hall where the gathering was taking place. The clowns were hired primarily to protect the organizer of this event Big Madam as well as the other attendees of this lavish gathering. Big Madam was a powerful, very influential ghoul who controlled an extensive black market network and was very well connected with the various upper class ghouls in Tokyo. She'd been tasked with organizing the event since she was well liked among the upper class ghouls and many tended to enjoy the parties she frequently threw. She was an obese ghoul with strawberry-blonde hair and was dressed in luxurious clothing with excessive jewelry. Itori and Uta had made multiple previous dealings with her as representatives of the Clowns group in Tokyo's underworld and she had a high evaluation of their capabilities. While Shiki was at the gathering, elsewhere Muri was part of an encirclement that was slowly closing in on the building where the gathering was taking place. Souta's anonymous tip had successfully drawn the CCG's attention and they'd gathered half their available forces for this large scale attack. Shiki smirked as he observed the CCG's gradual approach and blockage of all possible escape routes through Muri's eyes. He shifted his gaze from Big Madam to focus on the young male ghoul seated next to her. According to Itori, this masked ghoul went by the moniker MM and had partnered with Big Madam to organize this lavish gathering. From what he could see despite the crescent shaped mask, the ghoul was a young handsome male with bright blue hair that was neatly combed, with a long fringe neatly swept towards the left. He was dressed in a red and purple formal suit filled with eccentric patterns. Apparently MM was very well connected among Tokyo's upper class ghoul society and was acquainted with Big Madam since both ran in the same unsavory circles rife with human trafficking and carnivorous dinner shows. MM was known to organize gladiator dinner shows in the 7th ward where warriors reared by ghouls would be tasked with battling against and slaughtering any human victims lured by guests to the event. Shiki observed MM and Big Madam discuss the upcoming vote as all the attendees arrived and the gathering formally began.

Shiki didn't have to wait long as less than an hour into the gathering, the CCG's forces burst into the building and began massacring all the attending upper class ghouls. Shiki observed from high up in the secluded section as Muri led the charge in with his black katana and volcano gun quinque in each hand. Muri burst into the hall and fired off explosive projectiles into the crowds of ghouls huddled together. He was followed in by the rest of the Aura squad as well as the numerous other squads ȧssigned to this operation and tasked with eliminating every single ghoul in the building. Shiki took a moment to admire the bloodshed before directing Big Madam and MM to the exits. All three ghouls jumped out of their elevated private section and moved towards the exits as chaos broke out in the hall. The Clowns were putting up a token fight as they prioritized their own safety and escape rather than that of the gathering's guests and attendees. Shiki steered clear of the area Muri was currently massacring ghouls in as he released his crimson serpent heads kagune from his bikaku region (tail bone) and began ripping apart any investigator squads that blocked them while they were on their way to the exits. Big Madam and MM merely followed behind Shiki as they admired his unique lifelike kagune and the way he ripped apart his opponents. Eventually his slaughter attracted the attention of those commanding the CCG operation and more experienced CCG heavyweights were soon sent to take him down. Shiki took on all comers in his path as he left the hall and entered the hallways leading towards the building's exit. A combination of five squads cut him off on his way out which included several Associate Special Class and First Class Investigators as well as numerous lower ranked investigators. Only three special class investigators were ȧssigned to this operation as Mougan Tanakamaru and Kiyoko Aura were in the main hall eliminating the bulk of the attending ghouls while Itsuki Marude was outside with Yoshitoki Washuu at the command post overseeing the operation. Shiki didn't waste time as he faced off against the investigators in his way and ripped through them like soggy paper. He led Big Madam and MM out of the building to a secluded safe house they'd told him about before turning around and knocking them both out. He immediately used his mind to dive into their subconscious and subtly rewrite their personalities to include a favorable opinion of Aogiri Tree. He brainwashed them into becoming his slaves who would work against any consensus among the upper class ghoul society to act against him, the Clowns or Aogiri Tree and inform him the moment they were incapable of stopping it on their own. He hid their unconscious bodies in the safe house where they'd wake up the next morning with no memory of Shiki knocking them out and only memories of him saving their lives by valiantly leading them unharmed to the safe house where they decided to rest and spend the night. After that Shiki changed his outfit to an oversized black cloak and black faceless mask before returning to the building where currently blood was flowing as all the attending members of the upper class ghoul society were trapped and were being slaughtered by the invading CCG forces. Shiki snuck into the building and after making sure all the clowns had gotten out safely, he settled down in a dark corner of the hall and began to absorb the blood and souls of those that were dying during the conflict. He relaxed in the corner while making sure to leave behind the wastes in liquid form to cover his tracks. He also observed as Muri moved on the battlefield like a death god as he reaped the lives of many of the ghouls trying to escape the hall. Shiki satiated his bloodlust and dėsɨrė for vengeance through Muri as he cut down every single upper class ghoul in his sight while Shiki covertly absorbed their blood and souls. Eventually the ghouls were completely eliminated and the operation was ended with a roar of victory. Shiki snuck out of the building into the dark of night to meet up with the Clowns as Muri was lifted up and celebrated by the investigators who took part in the battle. A couple of days later, Shiki received word through Itori from Big Madam and MM thanking him for saving their lives. He'd even been contacted by MM's family and father who turned out to be the head of a business conglomerate that dealt in exporting and importing goods as well as other sectors of the economy. As thanks for saving his son's life, MM's father offered Shiki funding and access to contraband goods including as many large quantities of medical supplies as he wanted. Shiki was happy with this unintended result and after accepting the offer as well as bidding Itori a proper 'farewell', he returned to his underground lab to continue with his research now with increased funding and access to larger quantities of hard to acquire medical supplies such as RC suppressants.

Shiki was busy in his lab and was close to finally perfecting the serum that could turn any human being regardless of their physiques into one capable of ȧssimilating with a kakuhou transplant. The current version of the serum had the unintended side effect of possibly curing humans afflicted with the Rc cell over-secretion disease. The disease was a rare chronic disease that affected humans causing kagune-like growths, similar to a tumor or cyst as well as other symptoms including nausea, intense pain, memory alteration, degradation of the five senses, and regression of the nerves into a child-like mental state. The disease had a morbidity rate of one in every 1-3 million people. He had also finished the creation of a stable mind control serum which when paired with an orientation session turned the newly created and imprisoned half-ghouls into loyal slaves who obeyed orders without question. The orientation session marked the period of time after the serum's injection when the subject had his/her mind stalled and was prone to reprogramming. This was the optimal period of time when they were then brainwashed into being loyal to whoever they were told to and were taught to see the service to their new masters as their entire life's purpose. After the optimal period for reprogramming had passed, the subject would begin to recover their consciousness and any programming done during that period of time would ȧssimilate into their identity and the effects would become permanent. The orientation session had been designed and perfected by Eto to be as quick and effective as possible through her own psychological experimentation with the imprisoned half-ghouls she was given to play with. With these issues settled, they'd gradually turned the rest of their abducted CCG cadets into artificial half ghouls and had them brainwashed into their loyal soldiers through the combined use of the mind control serum and Eto's formulated orientation session. The new additions were brainwashed into being loyal to only Shiki, Eto, Tatara and Noro. They would also follow someone else's order if directed to by one of the four. Shiki couldn't be bothered with trying to monopolize control of the slave soldiers since he had the ability to easily overwrite their programming with his mind. With the new artificial half-ghouls added to Aogiri Tree's forces as a secret force and trump card, they were secreted off to a facility where they'd be trained to get used to their new abilities and also get stronger through torture and being fed ghoul flesh. The Half ghoul squad currently consisted of about a bit more than 60 ghouls with kagune all farmed and harvested from Rize. Shiki had taken care to keep the female ghoul alive though by this time she'd begun slowly losing her sanity from the pain. It had been an eventful year of slaughter and breakthrough research for Shiki. Shiki was working in his lab when Eto came in one day and requested his presence at a meeting with the One Eyed King, secret leader of the Aogiri Tree ghoul organization.

A bit annoyed at the interruption of his research and the fact that he was being summoned, Shiki was reluctant to agree to the meeting despite the fact he'd always been a bit curious at the identity of the mysterious leader of Aogiri Tree. He'd long figured out Eto wasn't the One Eyed King and she'd even confirmed it wasn't her even though there were many in the CCG who thought she as the One-Eyed Owl was the mysterious leader of Aogiri Tree. The true leader of Aogiri Tree known as the One-Eyed King was someone who he'd yet to meet even as Shiki indirectly took over the organization and restructured it from the ground up. He'd basically overhauled the old Aogiri Tree and made it more efficient with a structured militarized hierarchy while the so-called King had hid in the shadows and let him do all the work. Shiki ended up agreeing to the meeting after Eto had explained they couldn't have the meeting in the 24th ward due to the need to protect the King's secret identity. A meeting was set up in a week at an isolated location in the 13th ward. Shiki showed up dressed in casual wear alongside Eto who was in her disguise. Shiki was more than curious to find out the identity of the enigmatic One-Eyed King. As they approached the abandoned storage facility where the meeting was to take place, he was surprised to sense the presence of a familiar figure next to Tatara and Noro. Shiki walked into the abandoned storage facility with a smirk on his face as his gaze landed on the CCG's top investigator and Reaper Kishou Arima, the One-Eyed King.
