Mamie's eyebrows shot up in bewilderment, and there was a twist in her mouth that nearly resembled an astonished droop.

"What did you say?"

"Just, open the first drawer of your TV cabinet!"

Mamie did as Jessie said and opened the first drawer of her TV cabinet. There, she found a syringe.

With trembling hands, Mamie picked the syringe up, wondering what it was for. There was a small jar next to the syringe which contained a colorless liquid.

"What's this?"

"That is potassium cyanide. Simply injecting it into your artery will kill you within a few minutes. If you refuse to get an abortion or leave the country, this will be the only option you will get. You decide!"

Jessie was deliberately trying to push Mamie over the edge. Hatred and agony surged in her heart as Mamie felt like a helpless puppet that was being manipulated by Jessie.
