With a sigh, Linda succumbed to her grandfather's wishes. "Okay," she said. It was useless to say anything else.

Her grandfather had a point. It would be better to leave him alone to digest the news. She could come back and visit him the next day.

The Mu Clan's private hospital was large enough to have an annexed living quarters. Members of the Mu Clan and their visitors were allowed to stay and live in the rooms.

Linda turned away and arranged one of the rooms for her grandfather. Afterwards, she hugged him goodbye and went home.

As soon as she entered the villa, Charles looked at the foyer from the sofa. He shoved his laptop away and walked over to his wife before embracing her in a warm hug.

"You're back," he whispered quietly.

Linda could only nod. She let the tears finally escape her eyes.

He immediately sensed that something was wrong. He pulled away and wiped her tears away.

"Honey? What's wrong? Why are you crying?" he asked worriedly.

"I...I couldn't save her baby," Linda said as she choked on her tears.

Charles bent forward and kissed his wife's forehead. "Shh. Hone

d thing that he fainted here, otherwise he might have hit his head somewhere dangerous," the doctor answered.

As Linda nodded, the doctor continued, "However, you have to ensure that he doesn't get depressed anymore. The stress is taking a huge toll to his body."

Linda walked closer to see her grandfather's sleeping face. However, just before she was able to touch him, a nurse burst through the door.

"My Lady! It's Mamie! Something bad has happened! She woke up and found out about her child! She's on the edge of the rooftop right now!"

The nurse's words had made Linda tremendously dizzy. She couldn't believe the utter chaos that was happening around her.

Everything in Linda's life was falling apart right before her eyes.
