"Where's Mamie right now?" Linda asked.

The nurse responded anxiously, "She's at the rooftop. She's been crying for a while. We asked someone to comfort her but to no avail. She still won't stop crying."

Linda also went to the rooftop right away.

Mamie was sitting on the edge of the rooftop with her legs swinging in the air.

Although Linda couldn't see her face, she could see that Mamie's body was twitching.

She was obviously crying.

At this moment, Linda didn't dare call Mamie's name as she didn't want to frighten her.

"Call the fire department at once. We need their assistance,"

Linda ordered in a low voice.

Then Linda approached Mamie and called her name softly.

"Mamie, what are you doing there? Are you hungry? We can eat something good. Come on."

Linda tried her best to distract Mamie.

Mamie turned around and looked at Linda. Her face was stained with tears.

"Linda, you don't have to do anything for me. Since Devin died, the baby was the only thing I

were too late.

The last thing Linda heard before this was Mamie's voice as she fell.

It was followed by a loud scream thereafter.

Mamie was dead.

When she died, her body was completely destroyed.

She ended her life in the most tragic and painful way.

Linda felt terrible however she knew there was nothing else she could do.

Linda didn't know how long she had sat on the rooftop.

She even looked cold from the wind blowing at the rooftop.

Suddenly, someone had put a coat over her. It was Charles. He then pulled her into his arms.

"Let's go, honey. You haven't eaten anything the entire day. You need to eat something," he said softly.
