Cheng Xiu clashed with the lean figure of Frost, ice and fire colliding, and creating an explosion.

Some of Frost's ice blades impaled Cheng Xiu's shoulders.

The two figures entangled as they tumbled around, and crashed into a large rock formation creating sending stone sharpnels everywhere.

Cheng Xiu smirked and used their close proximity to burn Frost.

The blue-clad woman hardly managed to roll away, her clothes catching fire.

Frost breathed hard.

Cheng Xiu closed her eyes and absorbed even more Qi into her veins. The eyes she opened were bright gold in colour.

She had gone in trance once more. And this time it was deeper than it was before.

[Ding!]

Cheng Xiu's movements became faster.

She thrust her blade into Frost's shoulderblade before the woman could react.

Frost pursed her lips to ignore the pain and created sickle blades and cut Cheng Xiu's midriff.

Cheng Xiu created the Ghost Flame once more to burn away the skin of Frost's right arm that was extended towards her, melting the ice blades that were still raining on her in the process.

The blue-dressed woman cringed at the pain. It had been a long time since she had felt this amount of pain and suffering.

The two women engaged in a series of blows that destroyed the area around them. Burning and shattering down trees, turning rocks and boulders into dust. Explosion echoed everywhere as the two engaged in more and more physical contact.

Frost tried to create ice spears, swords, daggers, and lances. The only ones that she hadn't tried was arrows and guns, and the only reason for that was that she could become a sitting duck with both. It required a mastery in Elemental Control to create things that would need precision to attack with and Frost lacked that precision at the moment.

Cheng Xiu let her mind sink further and further into the trance as the two engaged in battle.

Frost found herself unable to find as many openings in Cheng Xiu's attacks as she did before. Slowly and slowly, Cheng Xiu fixed all the mistakes that she made while fighting with the expert.

Frost had never realised that anyone could make the saying "Experience fixes Mistakes" seem so literal.

Fear rose in her heart as the Qi around Cheng Xiu rose even more.

Frost finally realised that attacking the Qi Root might not have been such a smart move. She should have tried to find a different way to attack Cheng Xiu instead of engaging in a fight with the Qi Root. It agitated Cheng Xiu to such an extent that the girl actually found ways to break out of her limits.

Cheng Xiu enflamed her Sword once more and attacked Frost.

The Blue-haired girl released ice stakes from her hands and sent them to Cheng Xiu.

Cheng Xiu ducked away, a few of the blades slid past her cheeks, cutting it and drawing blood.

Frost scowled and used sickle blades again.

Cheng Xiu ducked once more.

A few of the blades cut off a few strands of her hair, and a single blade hit the black leather that held her hair in place, breaking it.

Black haired tumbled down from its high place and swished against Cheng Xiu's thighs as she moved away from the blades even more.

Cheng Xiu scowled as the hair covered her whole face, obstructing her vision.

Frost tried to take advantage of the situation, and launched even more of ice blades at her.

Cheng Xiu's heightened senses allowed her to dodge the few that attacked her like a boomarang.

Cheng Xiu scowled as she ran towards Frost, her long hair fluttering behind her. She hated having long hair, and would have to chop them off at the first chance that she got, Cheng Xiu decided.

If Frost could hear her opponent's thought process she would have spit out blood in sheer disbelief. How could Cheng Xiu have such thoughts at a time like this?

Cheng Xiu sent a signal to the Qi Root, and it burst out from the ground.

Frost crouched, ready to attack.

The Qi Root curled around Cheng Xiu's hair and Tightened it.

Frost gaped in disbelief. What the he-

It took all her instincts as an expert to jump away from the root that almost grabbed her ankles and then roll away from the fireball that was thrown her way.

Frost jumped to her feet and scowled at Cheng Xiu. "Such a despicable tactic. Trying to distract me by using the Qi Root to tie your hair, while you made it attack me!"

Cheng Xiu raised an eyebrow, her golden eyes dimming. "Tactic? I needed to tie my hair, and the Qi Root can do it while I attack you. My pet can also try to attack you while it was at it. I see it as using a single arrow to kill many birds at once."

Frost raised her hand in a wide arc, and created scythe-like ice blades. They were not as thin as real scythed blades, and so were not as effective against her enemy.

Frost never regreted the fact that she was not more well versed in her Qi Manifestation in the real world than she did at that moment. It made her weapons weaker than they should be.

Cheng Xiu twirled the flamed sword in her hand, creating a circle of fire and leapt at the Blue-dressed woman.

Frost tried to sidestep, but found a part of her hair burned away.

If she had not moved a few angles futher, then the one to be burnt away would not be her hair but the entire right side of her face.

Frost shuddered. It seemed that the fight with Cheng Xiu was inducing more fear in her mind than the ghost stories that she grew up hearing.

Frost took out a Qi talisman and burned it away, replenishing her storage.

She then closed her eyes, and summoned a rain of sickle blades.

Cheng Xiu frowned as she backed away to stand under a tree.

She raised her hand and placed it onto the tree trunk, and lit it on fire.

The fire caught on.

She jumped away from the sickle blades and lit the other trees around them on fire.

It took Frost a while to realise that she was surrounded by black flames from all side. A bad premonition entered her heart, making her hope sink.

Cheng Xiu smirked.

"Isn't this what you planned from the get go?" the white-robed woman asked.

Frost froze. "What?"

Cheng Xiu grinned, panting a bit from having lost a chunk of her Qi. "You wanted to get close to me so that you can impale me continuously with your ice blades. You embedded every tree around us that I hadn't attacked with your ice blades for that reason, right? You wanted to use a talisman to convert the Qi in the trees to yourself, and use the ice in their stems to entrap me...or maybe even kill me."

Frost's heart shuddered. She figured that out?

Frost's eyes fell on the trees that now buned around her. Teh girl used her own tactic against her.

Cheng Xiu smiled. "It was getting hard to maintain the Ghost Flames, so thank you for giving me that idea."

Frost's eyes trembled in supressed anger. "Who wanted to help you!"

Cheng Xiu nodded. "You didn't. But that was the end result."

Frost raised a talisman, and burned it.

She felt the Qi in her veins respond to her actions.

Frost summoned the ice from the trees that were not yet burning. The created long lances and spokes from their stems, and started to try to impale Cheng Xiu with it.

Cheng Xiu danced away from the ones that got too close and used the fire on the various trees to extinguish the others that she could not immediately dispose of.

Frost realised that she had to do something so that she could defeat Cheng Xiu somehow immediately. There was no way that she could fight against Cheng Xiu for too long. The girl was too strong and learned things at too fast a speed. If she did not defeat Cheng Xiu now, she would never be able to defeat the girl at all.

The latest development made her realise that Cheng Xiu was completely in her wavelength of thinking now.

Frost dashed towards Cheng Xiu by creating a spear in her hand.

Cheng Xiu was caught off gaurd by the irrational move that the expert did.

A pointed spoke impaled against Cheng Xiu's heart.

A firey blade impaled Frost's heart.

The ice sword changed into many blades in an attempt to shred the woman to pieces.

The Qi Root impaled the blue-robed woman from all sides.

Sword copies thrust into the immortal body as many ice spokes impaled Cheng Xiu in the back.

Blood splattered everywhere and the two women fell to their knees, spitting out mouthfuls of blood.

Everything turned into stunned silence.E
