Ways to handle this little demon

" This....."

" What's wrong? "

Sensing Zhang Long Wei's strange reaction, Wang Li Jie asked. But the demon didn't answer it immediately. Instead, he got off the bed and rose to his feet before kneeling down right in front of the youth to inspect it more carefully.

Wang Li Jie felt uneasy to be in such an ambiguous position with Zhang Long Wei, especially when his little master was brushing his fingers against his skin on the chest.

Wang Li Jie knew Zhang Long Wei was doing it just to examine his condition, so he chose not to say anything about it and just stay still for a little longer.

Wang Li Jie was enduring his best not to react to such a ticklish yet strange feeling coming from the place where Zhang Long Wei touched his skin. The youth was currently biting his bottom lip with an expression as if he was being bullied by someone else. And this was the very kind of expression his little master witnessed when the other glanced up at Wang Li Jie. 

Wang Li Jie quickly changed his expression back to normal as he twisted his head to the other side, his hand covering his own face due to mild embarrassment. But Zhang Long Wei clearly caught that pathetic yet tempting expression of the youth earlier.

Looking at his fingers which were still on the youth snowy chest, the demon widened his eyes before immediately standing up with some awkwardness. Not to make this awkwardness even worse, Zhang Long Wei restrained himself not to overreact. With a pounding heart, the demon attempted to act as normal as possible before saying.

"The blue ice poison...I think it would get even worse today but look at this.The blue patch on your skin....It got smaller. I think it's healing. What did you do today? Like not your usual daily activities?"

Putting on his upper inner robe in a hurry, Wang Li Jie shook his head.

" No.....I didn't do anything special or unusual."

Zhang Long Wei seemed to be in deep thoughts for a moment at this answer of the youth. The demon had been wracking his brain how or where to find the antidote of blue ice poison this whole day. He was even thinking of summoning his puppet general tomorrow and make him investigate more about blue ice poison. But now, he hadn't even done anything. But the youth was already recovering. Though both of them still couldn't find out what was the exact thing that make Wang Li Jie recover, it was indeed such a great turn of events anyway.

" Even so, it's such a good thing that you gets better. Let's wait for a couple more days and watch your recovery process."

" Okay."

Now that he thought about it, there's also something strange about Wang Li Jie. Just a moment ago, the youth was still in a miserable condition. It's just so abnormal how the youth could maintain his consciousness till now.

" But while we're fighting, it's obvious that your condition was even worse than yesterday. How are you feeling now?"

" Much better.....I don't feel that cold like earlier."

Wang Li Jie had just finished answering when a sudden burst of extreme cold came, torturing him once again. His fingers trembled uncontrollably that Wang Li Jie could barely tie his own sash on his robe. Enduring the extreme cold like fighting a war, Wang Li Jie finally finished tying his own sash. He couldn't even sit still anymore. The cold was just so unbearable that Wang Li Jie felt like jumping into the abyss right away if he could. 

Wang Li Jie was about to lie down on the soft mattress and take a rest when he sensed Zhang Long Wei leaning in closer to him, the other's hands reaching out for his head. The youth who was about to lie down frozen in place at the touch of another man on his head.

"What are you doing?"

" Untying your hair....if you sleep with this jade hairpin and crown headwear on, it would be really uncomfortable."

That's right. Wang Li Jie really forgot to take off his jade hairpin. He could barely tie his own sash back. To take off his hairpin by himself, it would really be a bother. With that thought, Wang Li Jie stayed still as he let Zhang Long Wei serve him as he wished.

The headwear had been taken off and Wang Li Jie was yet to lie down when he saw Zhang Long Wei untying the sash of his own outer robe. Shocked at this sight, Wang Li Jie sat up yet again as he repeated the very same question like earlier.

" What are you doing?"

" You really can still be this talkative even in such a poor state, aren't you?

I just wanna warm you up."

Wrapping himself with a quilt immediately, Wang Li Jie was flustered.The youth shifted backwards till his back was leaning against the wall behind. Wang Li Jie was still sitting with a blanket wrapping around his entire body. The cold was yet to wear off. And all he wanna do was just to slip into the bed and endure the cold quietly. But why would his little master keep doing such strange things? Was he really here just to help him out or what?

" With what? With your body?"

" Well...yes?"

Seeing the alarmed expression on the youth's face, Zhang Long Wei licked his lips as he tried to explain again.

" That quilt won't be able to give you enough warmth. "

His outer robe had been completely taken off. And it was placed next to the youth's outer robe on the small table by the bedside. Since it seemed like Wang Li Jie's condition had got unstable once again, Zhang Long Wei didn't think much and took off his robe right away with an idea to warm him up. 

But now that, he thought about it Zhang Long Wei also felt embarrassed of himself. They were not even going to sleep in the same bed this whole night anyway. After a while, after he had warmed up the youth enough, he was going out for the patrol anyway. Why did he even take his clothes off in the first place? But now, things would be even more awkward if he chose to put them on once again.

" I'm fine. I'm completely fine..."

Since the cold was getting more and more unbearable, Wang Li Jie checked his left and right on the bed with the aid of candle light to wrap another quilt around himself. And that was when he realized the one on himself was the only quilt he got in this room.

Of course, what was he expecting? This was just a little inn in a small village. How could he expect there would be a couple more warm and thick quilts just like in his own chamber? But it was really impossible for him to endure the cold with this tiny little quilt all night. He wouldn't make it.

"Wait! ...sigh.....I'm not fine..... 

You can do as you wish."

Giving a knowing smile, Zhang Long Wei climbed onto the bed. The youth was sitting on the bed leaning against the cold wall with a small quilt wrapped around. And as he leaned in closer and closer, the alarm in the youth's eyes got more and more obvious. 

"I'm going to hug you."

Zhang Long Wei said like this really straightforwardly because he didn't want further misunderstandings between the two of them anymore. This sounded a bit daring when Zhang Long Wei really said it out loud though. After all, to warm him up quickly, how would it be possible without hugging him? Or what? What was he supposed to do? Just sitting next to the youth? It wouldn't help Wang Li Jie at all.

Wang Li Jie's brows creased, his lips pursing. Giving a cute glare to Zhang Long Wei, the youth said with mild anger. 

" If you are hugging, then just do it. Why being so talkative?"
