Ways to handle this little demon

Oblivious to the outside world and having their own little moment in a little room of an inn were Zhang Long Wei and Wang Li Jie. One was leaning on the shoulder of the other, trying to take a nap whilst the other was feeling weirdly satisfied for nothing.

The demon had his arms wrapped around the youth and the youth also was leaning on his shoulder, creating such an ambiguous atmosphere. After his little master warmed him up like this, Wang Li Jie got a lot better. It's not that cold anymore and he also stopped trembling. The youth had to admit he felt really comfortable and warm in Zhang Long Wei's embrace.

And the only problem right now was that Wang Li Jie couldn't bring himself to fall asleep no matter what. The youth was always like this. As a vigilant young cultivator as he was, he could barely fall asleep even in a lying position. And he also was a light sleeper.

But now, not only he was in a sitting position, there was also warm breath of Zhang Long Wei which kept brushing against his cheeks. In this state, he could only close his eyes but couldn't even take a nap at all. Noticing that the other had troubles falling asleep in such position, Zhang Long Wei suggested.

"Li Jie, don't you want to lie down for a while? Isn't it uncomfortable sitting and leaning on me like this?"

Wang Li Jie had already opened his lips to give a big fat "no". But what really came out of his lips was a simple " okay". At first, Wang Li Jie thought it would be awkward for both of them to do so....because, unlike last night, he was now fully conscious. 

Even so, right at the moment, Wang Li Jie was not in the mood to care about it anymore. The only thing he knew was that he needed to sleep. But without lying down, he wouldn't be able to sleep properly. And to tell his little master to stop hugging and lie down by himself alone... Wang Li Jie didn't want that either. 

Don't get the wrong idea though. It's not that, this youth had perverted thoughts or something. It's just that he was being reluctant to get out of this comfort zone.

You see....it's only been half an hour or so since the youth got better. And right now, if he told Zhang Long Wei something like "it's enough" or "you don't need to warm me up" anymore, the youth was not sure if the poison would take its toll again or torture him once again. Or even if it's not that terrible like earlier, he would still feel the cold a bit. But he didn't want it. Even if it's just a bit cold, he wouldn't be able to sleep properly, so he didn't want Zhang Long Wei to stop hugging him.

Besides, there's no need for him to be apologetic towards his little master anyway. This was his fault, so he should take full responsibility. 

As soon as the youth finished giving an "okay", he instantly lie down without even waiting for Zhang Long Wei's reaction. Not long after, the demon also slipped into the quilt right next to the youth. 

Zhang Long Wei seemed to be a bit reluctant, his hand hovering above the youth's waist. But after a while, his hand moved before landing on the youth's waist and drawing him closer. At that instant, Zhang Long Wei's heart was pounding like crazy for no apparent reason. 

On the other hand, the half-asleep Wang Li Jie was feeling unsatisfied because he didn't get enough warmth like before. Zhang Long Wei seemed reluctant and he didn't hug him tight like before. Maybe it's because of this awkward situation?

But fortunately, it seemed like his little master could see through him. A magnetic yet somewhat mellow voice rang out from behind him as Zhang Long Wei asked. 

" Li Jie, is it warm enough? Do you want me to hug you tighter? "

Zhang Long Wei didn't even know why he asked like that. He was simply not sure whether to continue hugging or just to let the youth sleep by himself. Because the youth was completely silent since he lied down, Zhang Long Wei was simply not sure to continue cuddling him or not. 

Even so, he shouldn't have asked like that. Now, there's only one response he could expect from the youth and it was "shameless".

" Mn"

With mild surprise, Zhang Long Wei looked at the youth who was sleeping on his left side, giving his back to him. The tip of the youth's ear was tinged with somewhat red. But under the dim candlelight, Zhang Long Wei failed to notice it. 

With a vague smile, Zhang Long Wei shifted a bit before drawing the youth closer to him by his waist. Making sure that his chest and torso were pressing against the youth's back, the demon gave a satisfied smile. 

Yeah... at first, Wang Li Jie only wanted a little bit more warmth from Zhang Long Wei. He didn't expect that his little master would go this far and cuddled him in such an intimate position. Even so, it would be a lie if he said it was uncomfortable. Besides, with his little master's warmth and caring hold on his waist, Wang Li Jie found it unexpectedly soothing.

The youth's eyelids closed on their own and part of his consciousness started to wonder to dreamland. Just another five or so minutes and he was going to fall asleep. But his little master just couldn't leave him alone and had to call out his name just at that exact moment he was about to fall asleep. 

"Li Jie..."

"Can't you just shut the fuck up for a second? I can't sleep. "

After shooting back and making sure that his little master wouldn't dare to utter a word anymore, the youth closed his eyes and went back to his sleep only to feel the person behind him had left in the next second.

Feeling dissatisfied, the youth scratched his hair with frustration. At this point, Wang Li Jie was already taking Zhang Long Wei as a giant hot water bag. Turning around, he was about to give a command to Zhang Long Wei like "Come back here! " when he saw his little master standing by the window and staring outside with a frown. 

Sitting up with a sulk as he rubbed his eyes, Wang Li Jie was about to ask what happened when he heard loud and crackling noises coming from the outside. Taken by surprise, Wang Li Jie raised his head and looked at outside through the window from his bed only to see shimmering light in the night sky.

"Fireworks? "

"Jianyu Sect fireworks.... it's a signal that some sect disciples of ours are in need of urgent help. "

The night was already getting this deep, so what kind of urgent problem came up that they even need to use their sect's fireworks? 

"It's from lotus village. "

Zhang Long Wei turned around as he said to the confused youth. When a sect disciple used fireworks and gave a signal, it's a rule that every disciple within it's nearest vicinity was to come and land a hand instantly. Zhang Long Wei should be going as soon as possible. Even so, the condition of Wang Li Jie was still..... 

"You should go and take a look. There must be something crucial happening in there. "

"Will you be okay by yourself? "

The youth had got better just half an hour ago. If he left him here, no one knew when the poison would take its toll again. Zhang Long Wei should be going already but this youth... he couldn't leave him like this. 

"Just go. I'm feeling a lot better already. "

Seeing concern in his little master's eyes, the youth tried to reassure him. Though he was not even sure if he would be okay without this person's help, Wang Li Jie couldn't be that selfish. He knew how crucial a situation could be if a sect disciple was to ask for help using these fireworks. Soon, other disciples and even some sect elders were going to come down from snowy-light peak. If Zhang Long Wei was not there by then, he would get severely punished for real. 

Zhang Long Wei still seemed to be over the fence even after the youth reassured him like this. He still didn't know what kind of problem was happening there. But one thing was for sure. It must be a very urgent case because he could sense that familiar evil aura even from here. As to his acute hearing, Zhang Long Wei could even hear screams of villagers right from this little room.

Like the youth said, he should go and take a look at the situation first. And whatever the problem was, he had to solve it quickly and had to come back here as soon as possible. 

He need to leave this inn quick but before he left...

Instead of heading for the door, Zhang Long Wei walked over to the youth in quick steps. Wang Li Jie was looking at him with a confused look when Zhang Long Wei sat down next to him all of a sudden.

"What're you....? "

He didn't even get to finish the whole sentence of "What are you doing? " when he was drawn into the arms of Zhang Long Wei all of a sudden. Wang Li Jie froze in place. Zhang Long Wei was hugging him too tight as if he wanna give him some more warmth before he left him alone. 

"It's okay. I'll be fine by myself. Just hurry up and go already. "

Trying to push Zhang Long Wei off, the youth said. But the other didn't move at all. Only after awhile, Zhang Long Wei let him go before saying in his unusually caring tone. 

"Stay warm.. I'll be back as soon as possible."
