Ways to handle this little demon

Just as the door to a small shabby room was opened, a young man in his golden sect robe walked in. Even before he could take a thorough look, Yang Zhiqiang was already sneezing due to layers upon layers of dust in the little room. 

It's so obvious that no one had stayed in this place for nearly a decade. Immortal Wang told him that this place was once the abode of an old elder. Since that elder passed away in the second great war between demons and righteous cultivators, no one stayed in this place anymore. 

Fanning the air in front of his face, Yang Zhiqiang glanced over into the room. Not only there were such thick layers of dust, even the walls of the little room were covered with many growing vines. 

The reason Yang Zhiqiang ended up in such a place was because of his very own request to let him stay with his little Xiang near the sect garden. This little place was closed to bamboo forest of Jianyu sect. And it had the most tranquil surrounding in the entire sect as well. The only problem was this shabby place where he had to stay with his little Xiang. 

It was so damn shabby and uninviting that Yang Zhiqiang almost wanted to run away right away. It's gonna take at least half a day to clean up and make this place inhabitable. Such a tough and long day..... 

Yang Zhiqiang had no idea where or how to even start cleaning. Glancing at his little snake on his forearm, Yang Zhiqiang heaved a a sigh to himself. How come all the people in the entire world just wanted to part his little snake and him? Since he refused to leave his little Xiang in an unfamiliar place alone, the immortal gave him such a lesson. 

Glancing at the entire crappy place, Yang Zhiqiang kept heaving a sigh to himself when noises of chatters came from outside. At first, Yang Zhiqiang only thought it was just some sect disciples passing by. But, in the next second, he heard a male voice calling him from outside. 

"Junior brother Yang, are you in there? "

Standing at a not-so-far distance from the shabby place near the sect garden were Huang Guiren, Li Qing and Wang Li Jie. The one, who called out Yang Zhiqiang earlier, was Huang Guiren. Seeing the door to the room was opening, all three of them instantly realized Yang Zhiqiang was already in there. 

"We came here to help clean up this place. It might be a complete mess inside the room, isn't it?"

Hearing the word " help", Yang Zhiqiang's originally gloomy mood instantly brightened up. He thought the immortal was going to make him clean this place all by himself. It's such a relief that this elder showed him some mercy and sent a couple of disciples to lend him a hand.

In fact, the immortal did send two disciples to help Yang Zhiqiang. It was Huang Guiren and another senior disciple. But somehow, Li Qing and Wang Li Jie ended up tugging along due to curiosity. Since there were already three of them, the senior disciple who was supposed to come here with Huang Guiren, didn't follow anymore. 

Just yesterday, Wang Li Jie and his buddies had a conversation about exchange disciples. But, this morning, three exchange disciples from Baiyun Sect were already here. Since Wang Li Jie was helping Zhang Long Wei to move into his chamber, he didn't know exchange disciples were coming today. 

In fact, it's not Yang Zhiqiang being an exchange disciple from Baiyun Sect that hit their curiosity. It was the news of this young disciple bringing a little snake to their sect that piqued their interest. That's why even young masters like Li Qing and Wang Li Jie also followed Huang Guiren to help clean up such a shabby place.

"Little Xiang, come back! "

Yang Zhiqiang had yet to step out of the room to greet the three seniors when the little snake on his forearm suddenly went down and slithered off to one of the seniors. And that disciple was Li Qing. Habitually, the little snake was about to bite him. But, Li Qing made a quick reflex. As soon as the little snake reached near his boots, Li Qing immediately caught it by the neck. 

"So... this is the so-called baby snake of junior brother Yang. "

Huang Guiren and Wang Li Jie leaned in closer to Li Qing and attentively looked at the wriggling snake in their buddy's grip. 

"Wow.... I've never seen a snake with scales as pretty as this. What kind of demonic beast is it?"

"Let him go, senior. You're hurting him. "

The three buddies were yet to finish observing and appreciating the snake's rare and beautiful body when Yang Zhiqiang's sudden shout disrupted them. 

"You can't hold him like that. Xiang is such a little snake. You are going to hurt him. He needs to be handled gently. "

Passing the little snake to Yang Zhiqiang, the shocked Li Qing quietly watched the scene of Yang Zhiqiang kissing the head of his little demonic beast with extreme affection. 

He just kissed a snake.... 

That's the only line echoing in the mind of all three buddies after witnessing this scene. 

As if it was suddenly embarrassed after getting kissed by Yang Zhiqiang right in front of other people, the little snake instantly sneaked into his sleeves once Yang Zhiqiang finished kissing it. Seeing this, Yang Zhiqiang's lips curved into an irresistible smile. 

"He's just shy. He will be fine in a while....so shall we start cleaning right now? "

The shocked Li Qing and Huang Guiren couldn't even give a reply instantly. They were still looking at Yang Zhiqiang with a startled gaze that seemed to be indirectly saying "This junior is a lunatic. "

"Yeah..... why don't we start? .....hahaha.... Come on, guys. We don't have the entire day to be idle about. Go and get some brooms to clean this place. "

Awkwardly, prodding his two buddies in the arms, Wang Li Jie attempted to break the awkward atmosphere. If Li Qing and Huang Guiren kept looking at Yang Zhiqiang with such strange gazes, the other was going to feel offended. Seriously, what's so strange about kissing a snake anyway? It was just a cute interaction between a pet and its owner... though it was somewhat strange how the two could be this affectionate towards each other when that pet was a snake......
