Ways to handle this little demon

Yesterday, five villagers went missing in Tian Forest. Things were already worrying as they were. But, this morning, elders got informed that another three villagers went missing as well. And, it was also in Tian forest. This sorts of cases only happened in the past before Jianyu Sect barrier had been created. With the barrier working regularly, there's no way evil spirits and demonic beasts could enter Tian forest, so it's hard to tell what exactly was going wrong. 

Related to this case, five disciples were sent to figure out the problem. Since the barrier had been working normally and no evil spirits could pass through it, there's only one possibility. It was either villagers accidentally went outside the barrier or they were lured by some kinds of demonic beasts to do so. 

By now, it was already afternoon. This was the time Jianyu sect disciples came down the mountain and started their volunteer work. Wang Li Jie and Zhang Long Wei should have been there as well. But, today, they had some more important task. And it was to look for missing villagers and figure out of the source of the problem. 

Yesterday, a couple of disciples had already gone to Tian Forest in search of missing villagers. But, not even a single one was found. This only showed there's a high chance that missing villagers went beyond the area of Jianyu Sect barrier.

Just as one said "outside the barrier", everyone knew it was a dangerous zone. At the border of a beautiful forest like Tian, there was a creepy wild forest named "Yewan". As big as the overall area of Yewan forest was, it also was such a place inhabited by hundreds of demonic beasts and all kinds of evil spirits. And this forest existed near the southeast border of Tian Forest. 

The danger of this Forest was also one of the main reasons for Jianyu Sect to create this powerful barrier. To properly investigate the case of villagers missing, not only Tian forest, disciples also needed to step foot into Yewan forest and made a thorough search there as well. But, as this forest was a dangerous place even for cultivators, elders had to sent the whole crew of five disciples with high cultivation and superb martial arts. 

Wang Li Jie, Zhang Long Wei, Li Qing, Huang Guiren and Zhao Xiuying were chosen for this mission. It was supposed to be only five. But now, they got an extra member. And it was Yang Zhiqiang. 

Once Yang Zhiqiang learned the fact that he was to volunteer in villages in the afternoon due to some tragedy recently broken out, he was deeply frustrated. This whole morning, Yang Zhiqiang had been arduously training so hard with an absolute determination to make himself stronger.

Though he was yet to learn several other things about Jianyu Sect, Yang Zhiqiang could tell one thing for sure. Jianyu Sect elders definitely didn't fall behind masters of Baiyun Sect in their experiences and talents. As much as he was astonished by these sect elders' skills, Yang Zhiqiang was looking forward to afternoon trainings as well. But, it turned out there were no more trainings after lunch break and all the disciples were just to do volunteer work in villages. From other disciples, Yang Zhiqiang came to know that Jianyu sect had been running with this routine the entire month. And Yang Zhiqiang was truly disappointed. It's not that he was disappointed because he thought volunteer works were nothing more than a waste of time. It's just that he was not used to it and too bored to do it as well. 

So, when Yang Zhiqiang saw the three seniors who helped him to clean up his place yesterday in a village and learned the fact that they were going to Yewan Forest with a mission, he also tagged along. Of course, knowing that he was just a junior disciple with weak cultivation, Wang Li Jie and his buddies refused to let him follow. But this was Yang Zhiqiang. As long as he wanted to do something, there's no one who could stop him. Finally, the three seniors, who couldn't convince this junior at all, also had no choice but to let Yang Zhiqiang follow them.

After all, no matter how strong demonic beasts and evil spirits in Yewan Forest were, they could be subdued easily with a couple of disciples at core formation stage. Li Qing and Huang Guiren were already in middle core formation stage whereas Wang Li Jie late core formation stage. But now, since his body grew weaker for some unknown reason, his cultivation was only at the level of Li Qing and Huang Guiren. Despite being a junior, Zhao Xiuying also had already made a breakthrough. She was now in early core formation stage. 

The only ones here who were yet to get to core formation stage were Zhang Long Wei and Yang Zhiqiang. Even so, with his superb swordsmanship, Zhang Long Wei could also easily deal with high-level demonic beasts in Yewan Forest. All five of them had more than enough power to handle demonic beasts, so it's not a big deal to let Yang Zhiqiang tag along. 

Finaly, all six of them were at the border of Tian and Yewan forests. Just a couple more steps and they would be outside the barrier of Jianyu Sect. Dangers might be awaiting them in Yewan forest. But it was nothing for young disciples with high cultivation like them. 

The sect barrier was invisible. As to how these young cultivators could tell where exactly this invisible barrier was, it was based on their cultivators' sense. To create this sect barrier, thousands of spiritual stones were used. And, hundreds of excellent quality spiritual stones were buried under the ground just below the barrier. By sensing the overflowing spiritual power from underground, they could tell where exactly the barrier was. 

"We're finally here. Let's spread and look around the forest first. Once you encounter anything suspicious or irregular, inform others with voice transmission. Junior brother Yang, follow me. Junior Zhao, you go with Zian."

Once Wang Li Jie's words came to an end, all the other members immediately made their move. Li Qing and Huang Guiren had to go alone whist the others had their partners . Zhao Xiuying and Yang Zhiqiang were still juniors, so it's not safe to let them go into Yewan forest just by themselves.

As for Zhang Long Wei, Wang Li Jie had hundred percent trust in his little master's ability. There's only one thing he was worried. And it was what if Zhang Long Wei unfortunately encountered some high-level demons in the forest, would he really be able to handle them just by himself? No matter what, his little master was still at the late foundation stage. It'd be the best just to let him go with someone else who had higher cultivation. 

Yang Zhiqiang was out of question. This junior was extremely hard to deal with, not to mention both of Yang Zhiqiang and his little master were juniors. So, he could only let Zhang Long Wei go with Zhao Xiuying.. Little did Wang Li Jie know that a particular young lady had been waiting for this opportunity.
