Ways to handle this little demon

Absolute darkness dominated the entire emerald jade mountain as the night grew deeper and deeper. Midnight had already come. All the disciples and sect elders should be fast asleep by now in the comfy of their own bed. 

"Your Highness, I thought you only know how to make fire dance but it turns out you also know how to hypnotize snakes. Hiding your skills from me, huh? "

Right now, He Jingyi and the crown prince were standing near Jianyu sect garden. As the melody of Ming Zixin's dizi went on, a little snake slithering towards their direction came into their sight. The melody playing right now had a strange and unique rhythm. But, as to how the melody actually sounded like, only the prince who was playing his dizi and the little white snake knew. 

Because of his princess, Ming Zixin had already known that Yang Zhiqiang's little snake was Lishi Ye, the one and only son of Shizi clan's leader. Ming Zixin didn't know or had never heard of Lishi Ye before. But, he knew what clan of Shizi demons was. 

Shizi clan was one of the most powerful ones in demon realm. Despite the small number of their clan members, each Shizi demon had formidable power which was enough to deal with a dozen of cultivatiors at core formation stage with ease. These demons were pretty infamous for their extreme brutality. But most cultivators merely knew how they looked like. Maybe it's because it's rare to encounter these kinds of demons due to their small population. Or maybe it's because most couldn't come back alive after encountering them. 

Since Lishi Ye was once a Shizi demon, not to mention he was a noble one and the sole successor of this clan's leader.....that young demon should have been pretty powerful in the past. But, to think that such a young demon had now turned into a little beast just after Xu Daiyu accidentally casted a single curse on him.... This simply proved how formidable a demoness like Xu Daiyu was. 

Even so, Lishi Ye was still a noble Shizi demon. He Jingyi didn't want to give up on such a strong subordinate just like that. He wanna try turning Lishi Ye into his original form. Though he was not sure if it would even work, trying was not something wrong. 

The incantation had long been drawn on the ground before Ming Zixin hypnotized and summoned the little white snake. With the rhythm of the melody, Ming Zixin made the hypnotized little snake enter the array. Just as its whole body was in the array, the little white snake stopped moving. 

Ming Zixin stopped playing his dizi and looked at his princess. Tacitly understanding that now was the time to make his move, He Jingyi walked closer to the array. Taking out a small bottle from his pouch, He Jingyi let a dropet of crimson liquid fall onto the array. It was the blood of a viper he just killed before coming here. 

"Are you sure this is going to work? What if you memorize or see it wrong by then? "

"Well....without trying, how can we find it out? Besides, even if I memorize it wrong, there's no other option left to turn him back. This is the curse personally casted by Demoness Xu. Do you think I can beat her black and blue and force the answer out of her? "

He Jingyi once unexpectedly saw Xu Daiyu's subordinates drawing an incantation to break a curse they themselves casted. That was when a fight between Xu Daiyu's subordinates and righteous cultivators broke out. Whilst fighting with cultivators, one of the demons accidentally cursed their own fellow and turned her into a crow. By then, He Jingyi just happened to be casually passing by.

And there, He Jingyi happened to see a demon drawing a incantation super fast with the small crow right in the middle of it. Right after the incantation was activated, the little crow instantly turned into its original demonic form. Since the incantation immediately disappeared after the crow turned back into a demon, He Jingyi barely had enough time to memorize it properly. Even by now, it took him more than half an hour to recall and draw this incantation. If it were not for Lishi Ye being a young demon with a lot of potential, He Jingyi would have never let himself get bothered by it this much. 

Xu Daiyu... Instead of a demoness, she resembled much more like a witch because her special ability as a demon was casting spells and curses against the enemy. She's the only demoness in the entire realm who could create thousands of spells and curses with formidable results. Anyone could learn such spells and curses. And it worked perfectly even if the person who used it was not Xu Daiyu or even a demon. 

But, in reality, apart from Xu Daiyu's subordinates and herself, no one knew how such special spells and curses were used. Even if cultivators managed to subdue and threaten Xu Daiyu's subordinates, they were not getting any practical words out of them... because once such subordinate of Xu Daiyu opened their lips to spill the secret, they died right on the spot with a thousand ways. 

So, it could be considered super lucky that He Jingyi happened to witness such a scene when passing by. By then, they used crow's blood to turn a crow into its original demonic self. 

That's why He Jingyi also came up with the idea to use viper's blood for Lishi Ye. If viper's blood didn't work, maybe the cobra's would do. But on their way here, that viper was the only unfortunate creature they managed to get for the blood to use in the incantation. 

After that droplet of viper's blood fell onto the array, it started radiating with a crimson light eventually. He Jingyi thought it was finally working. But, the radiating array went suddenly dim in the next second. 

"It doesn't work. Should I try redrawing and changing some symbols in the array, your Highness? "

Literally, this princess was asking if she should mess around with the array for a few more times. It didn't matter if she wanna play with it or not. But, no one could guarantee nothing would happen to Lishi Ye after she fooled around and things went seriously wrong. It would just be the best to let Lishi Ye stay in demonic beast form instead of creating a more complicated mess. 

"You'd better not. There are more chances of failure. We'd better wait till a practical solution has been figured out. "

He Jingyi, whose hands were this itchy to play with the array, could only heaved a disappointed sigh. Ming Zixin was right. It's better not to create another mess which he might not even be able to solve. Besides, they needed to send this snake back to the asleep Yang Zhiqiang as soon as possible lest a particular snake-obsessed-youth went nuts after finding out his demonic beast was missing.

In next to no time, Ming Zixin made the snake quickly go back to Yang Zhiqiang's room. Not long after, both of them went back to disciple quarters as well. To Ming Zixin and He Jingyi, it might seem like their array didn't do anything to Lishi Ye. But, that's not it. Something was going to change with the little snake tomorrow. But, it wouldn't be their desired result. The array drawn by He Jingyi was partly wrong, partly right....so the outcome would be a bit hard to predict.
