Ways to handle this little demon

The giant Qingting beast had been subdued. And right now, it was going through an interrogation of the three bullies. 

"How did a low-level demonic beast like you suddenly become so powerful? "

"Are you the one who slaughtered all these demonic beasts? "

"How come you can speak human language? Is it because you ate human flesh? "

"The missing villagers... Where are they? I'm sure you beasts definitely have something to do with them suddenly went missing. "

Li Qing and Zhang Long Wei who couldn't wait to clear their doubts, continuously asked questions even before the beast had a chance to answer a single one. At the moment, its entire body and wings had been frozen in a thick layer of ice. Zhang Long Wei only spared its head and didn't freeze it so that the beast could at least answer their questions. 

The poor Qingting beast was trembling miserably from the cold. Just a moment ago, it almost got electrocuted due to a scary young cultivator. Now, here it was again with its body and wings getting all frozen like some poor meat in the fridge. 

"Guys.... we can't keep asking at the same time. Be patient and let's take turns to interrogate, okay? "

Rubbing the place between his brows with somewhat frustration, Wang Li Jie made an effort to stop Zhang Long Wei and Li Qing who kept throwing questions at the beast on the ground as if they were competing against each other who could spit out more nonsense queries. 

Looking at Zhang Long Wei with a displeased look, Li Qing let out a snort.

"I'm just trying to ask some information out of this beast. But, what can I do other than asking repeatedly when a certain brat keeps interrupting me? "

Zhang Long Wei wanna defend himself. But, sensing that Wang Li Jie was still feeling light-headed, not to give the youth more headache, he only chose to swallow his anger down. Giving Li Qing a glare before turning to look at the seemingly giddy Wang Li Jie, Zhang Long Wei heaved a sigh to settle his nerves down. Scratching his head, he sighed again before finally saying. 

"Okay then. I'll keep my mouth shut. Since you two are seniors, just interrogate the beast as you wish."

"Zian... I didn't mean it this way. I'm just telling you guys to take turns. "

Grabbing his little master's sleeves, Wang Li Jie said softly as though trying to coax Zhang Long Wei. He knew these two brothers were in a conflict every single time they met. One was his best buddy whilst the other was his little master and also a junior of his. He couldn't be biased towards any of the two, so Wang Li Jie just used his stern tone a bit and scolded both of them. 

But, since his little master was younger than both of him and Li Qing, Zhang Long Wei might have thought that he was only scolding him. 

Faced with the youth who was uttering those words whilst looking at him with his beautiful green eyes as if they were indirectly telling him not to get mad, how could Zhang Long Wei even manage to keep this gloomy facade on his face? 

Is Li Jie trying to coax me?..... 

Zhang Long Wei didn't know why. But at this thought, he found himself trying to suppress a satisfied smile. Giving the youth a gentle gaze, Zhang Long Wei said in his mellow tone which he usually used only when the two of them were alone. 

"I know. I'm not mad, so you can just do what you have to do. "

Even after uttering those words, Zhang Long Wei found himself staring intensely at the youth. His alluring black eyes flashed gentleness and affection which he didn't even realize there were.

Li Qing seemed somewhat surprised at this unusual interaction between the two. Wang Li Jie awkwardly scratched the back of his neck before nodding eventually at his little master's words with a forced smile. 

The atmosphere around them suddenly turned really awkward. Trying to ignore Zhang Long Wei's intense gaze, Wang Li Jie let out an unnatural cough. After the cough, his face suddenly turned serious and stern.

Unsheathing lightening fury all of a sudden, he startled Li Qing and Zhang Long Wei before going closer to the beast and hitting the layer of ice with the sword's sharp point just above its stomach. Menacing aura suddenly filled the air which sent a chill down the poor beast's spine. 

"Now answer me. How come a low-level demonic beast like your species suddenly became stronger? "

"I..... I don't know. I really, really don't know. I'm telling the truth! It's just that a few days ago a sudden burst of demonic energy occurred from an unknown source in the deepest part of Yewan Forest. And when I woke up in the next morning, I just found myself getting incredibly stronger. I really, really have no idea what happened to me. Please spare me."

A sudden burst of demonic energy?... 

Wang Li Jie exchanged confused glances with Zhang Long Wei and Li Qing. Why didn't their entire sect know such a weird thing happened in Yewan Forest? Maybe they didn't realize it because the sect barrier was in the way. If such an incident really happened, did it mean this beast was not the only demon who became suddenly stronger? As if the beast could hear their inner thoughts, it frantically tried to explain. 

"I'm not..... I'm not the only demon who suddenly turned powerful. Other beasts also went through such a weird incident as well. But, it was only for a few. Most of demonic beasts here didn't get any stronger.

The reason a slaughter happened here is also because of that. Demonic beasts who suddenly became stronger gathered here and picked a fight against each other, brainlessly arguing and claiming they were now the strongest. 

Only a beast survived in the end. But, I managed to kill it with ease since that beast was already seriously injured from all the fight.. Had I brainlessly joined this fight just like those blockheads, right now, there would only be a corpse left to me just like them. "
