Ways to handle this little demon

Earlier, when Wang Li Jie witnessed the sight of the pile of several dead demonic beasts, he thought a one-sided slaughter occurred. But, it turned out to be an intense fight amongst demonic beasts. If someone asked Wang Li Jie if he actually believed what the beast said... yeah, he did.

At first, Wang Li Jie even thought this beast was the culprit since it was the only one who suddenly showed up around here. But after managing to subdue it easily just with a couple of young cultivators like them, Wang Li Jie's opinion changed. This beast was indeed strong. But, it was not strong enough to create such a brutal slaughter.....so it could only be that an intense fight did break out here. 

But, this Qingting beast said that a sudden burst of demonic energy occurred in the deepest part of Yewan forest a few days ago. No matter how he wracked his brain, Wang Li Jie just couldn't think of any practical explanation for this. Just what exactly happened there to turn many low-level demonic beasts into powerful ones overnight? 

Since young, Wang Li Jie had barely come to Yewan Forest. And even if he happened to come here with some tasks, the youth never went too deep into the forest since sect elders repeatedly warned him. As someone who had never been there, it's natural that Wang Li Jie had no idea as to what might have created such a strong burst of demonic energy. Maybe, after he went back, Wang Li Jie should ask his immortal father about this forest in details. 

"Next question..... How can you speak human language? Don't tell me that all the demonic beasts who got suddenly stronger overnight could understand and tell human language just like you. I won't buy such a stupid reason....you know. "

Moving the point of the sword to the demonic beast's face, Wang Li Jie asked another question, absolute coldness in his eyes as if he was going to crash its head immediately if the beast even dared to utter a single word that's not true. 

"I... about that, I.... "

The beast wanna lie. But, faced with those ruthless eyes of the youth, it found itself stammering. If the beast admitted the truth, it would undoubtedly anger these cultivators. And they wouldn't spare it for sure. Even so, it didn't seem like the beast could lie this young cultivator either. Until it spat out the truth, this scary human wouldn't buy anything it said. Worse case scenario, this human might even brutally torture and beat the truth out of it till the very end.

Even if the truth was exposed in the end, these scary cultivators would definitely continue to peel its skin alive with irritation. Getting peeled its skin after being tortured and not being tortured, the latter one seemed to be the less terrible option though. Then, it could only spit out the truth. 

"I will admit it... I will admit it!.... The truth is I... this lowly beast actually ate human flesh. But just one human... I..... I only killed and ate just one human. As it's been a long time I've got to taste human flesh since the barrier had been created by cultivators .....so I.... I greedily caught a villager..... and..... and ate.... ate...him..... "

As expected, the incident of missing villagers truly had something to do with demonic beasts in Yewan Forest....so did it mean all the missing villagers were already killed and eaten by these beasts as their meal? As much as Wang Li Jie prayed this premonition of his not to be true, it really turned out to be a reality. 

But, since the sect barrier had been created at the border of Tian Forest, there's no such incident happened. Even if these beasts suddenly grew stronger after the burst of demonic energy, there's no way they could go pass through the barrier. They must have lured villagers into Yewan forest. But, it was easier said than done. How did these beasts even manage to lure villagers from Tian forest when they themselves were in Yewan forest? 

Pounding the thick layer of freezing ice with his solid boots, Wang Li Jie acted ruthless. The beast might have shrunk into itself already out of fright if it were not for the freezing layer of ice which was covering its whole body apart from its face. Thinking Wang Li Jie had seen through its lie, a great chill ran down its spine. Even before Wang Li Jie asked anything, the beast spilt all the beans, absolutely giving itself away. 

"Please.... don't do anything to me. I will admit the truth! "

Confused, Wang Li Jie looked at the beast under his boots with somewhat baffled expression. 

"To tell the truth, I ate..... I ate two.... I ate two humans!..... I... "

Irritated, the youth's brows creased. But, the beast mistook it for threatening. It thought Wang Li Jie had seen through itself already ... so the scared beast had no choice but to expose the truth in the end, inwardly lighting a candle for itself.

"In fact, this lowly beast ate three. Just three..... I didn't ate more than that. I can swear. I really didn't... arghh..... "

A sudden punch landed on the beast's face. And that came from the irritated Wang Li Jie. No wonder..... He was doubting how come this beast could speak human language so naturally just after eating a human..... turned out this beast even ate three villagers. Damn it.... such a glutton beast! 

"Zian..... Let the ice layer on its body thaw. I'm gonna tear this beast apart and break its wings. Let it defrost right now! "

Zhang Long Wei who had been leaning against the trunk of a nearby tree and watching the youth's ruthless version with great interest, instantly walked over as soon as Wang Li Jie called him. With his hand hovering above the gigantic dragonfly-like beast, Zhang Long Wei was about to defrost the beast's body as the youth wished when Li Qing suddenly stopped him. 

"What are you doing? Defrosting? Are you stupid? This guy makes you do such an idiotic thing just because he was infuriated. Even if Li Jie can't think clearly just because he is irritated, what's wrong with you to do as he says? 

The interrogation hasn't even finished. We can't kill this beast yet.

Also...Li Jie, settle your nerves down. Are you always such a blockhead who can't even contain your own anger? "

Wang Li Jie clicked his tongue and kicked the beast in its head. Breathing in and out regularly, the youth attempted to cool himself down. Even by then, he found himself not being able to swallow his anger down. Frustrated, Wang Li Jie clicked his tongue again and turned around before suddenly punching Zhang Long Wei, who was now standing next to him, in the chest. 

"You stupid... Why did you try to do as I told you? Don't you see I'm infuriated here and just saying it only as words?... stupid..."

But, instead of any refutation, Zhang Long Wei only let out a laughter whilst staring hard at the indignant youth. Seeing this, Wang Li Jie got even more exasperated. 

"Stupid..... "

Muttering those words under his breath, Wang Li Jie punched his little master hard in his chest once again with both irritation and embarrassment. But, this only made Zhang Long Wei laugh even more with great satisfaction. 

Li Qing who was forced to witness the scene of these two overgrown children fooling around from beside "....."
