What?! The Gamemaster And The Top Player Are Dating?!

"Gege!~" It was the annoying familiar voice of another woman who immediately stepped forward and jumped on Zhihao with the hopes of catching him by surprise and squeezing him to death in a hug, however, Zhihao's reflexes were still as fast as ever. 

Zhihao moved aside almost immediately and Tian Xifeng ended up hugging nothing more than the cold floor. 

"What's that?" Zhihao questioned curiously as he ignored Tian Xifeng and walked inside the room with his eyes fixed on the sets of wires connected to a huge device. 

Li Ying gulped as she cautiously glanced at Jiangshi and the boy looked back at her before nodding his head as they communicated with nothing more than mere gestures. 

Zhihao frowned as he saw this and spoke up, "Don't you dare lie about it." 

Tian Xifeng groaned as she pushed herself off the ground unhappily but before she could whine or say anything, Li Ying spoke up as she answered Zhihao's question.

"A bomb." 

Zhihao was a little surprised but it wasn't too unexpected since he had already expected to come across a bomb when he came up here.. 

Tian Xifeng sighed as she rubbed her head and spoke up, "It's more than just a normal bomb." 

Zhihao side-glanced at the woman as he gulped in worry, expecting to hear something worse in the very next sentence. 

"You should be able to guess it by now...?" Tian Xifeng smirked as she stated in a questioning manner. 

Zhihao nodded with a sigh as he responded, "I expected it to be something like this when the timer didn't stop." 

Their mission this time was a bit too simple. All they had to do was survive. This was a mission that Zhihao had got before in the hungry siren level and with the help of the gamemaster, he had easily completed the mission as well. But the current scenario was really different from the old one so of course, Zhihao didn't think it would be that easy to complete the mission. 

If their mission was to simply survive then the system would do anything to prevent them from completing the mission but by planting a small bomb inside the mall, there was no guarantee that the players would die. 

Well, as long as the bomb was small, it was useless. The players could always suppress the effects of the explosion or get out of the building and avoid the explosion completely. These two methods would be the first thing any player would try. 

In order to make sure that it was absolutely impossible for the player to survive, there was one more thing the system could do.

"Once this thing blows up, the entire city goes with it," Tian Xifeng announced with a sigh, and Zhihao could do nothing but nod his head as he had also guessed the same. 

"When did you figure it out?" Zhihao questioned as he looked at Li Ying. 

"It was nothing more than a guess in the beginning," Li Ying responded awkwardly as she scratched the back of her neck, "I wasn't sure if it was right but I thought it would be worth a try." 

"I'm guessing you didn't figure it out because of the stars?" Zhihao interjected with a sigh. 

"Stars?" Li Ying repeated in confusion, clearly showing that she was completely clueless. 

"Forget it," Zhihao shrugged it off as he didn't bother explaining and instead, he changed the topic once again, "Are you trying to stop it?" 

Li Ying nodded with a smile as she confirmed, "As you can see, we are trying our best but..." 

"But?" Zhihao's eyebrows furrowed together as he sensed the hesitation in the girl's face. 

"It's useless," Li Ying responded with a dejected sigh, "It's not working at all." 

Zhihao looked down at his phone screen which displayed the remaining few minutes that they had on their hands. 

"Hardly two minutes left," Zhihao muttered as he tried his best to stay calm, "We still have time so we can't give up." 

Li Ying couldn't help but chuckle dryly as she heard such an unexpectedly expected response from the great Mastermo, "You're the only one who would say such a thing." 

Zhihao smirked as he nodded and silently agreed to her. 

Tian Xifeng, "That's great!" 

Tian Xifeng skipped forward towards the entangled wires as she exclaimed proudly, "It's not right to say that our hard work was useless. We were at least able to find this." 

Zhihao's eyes lit up as he walked forward and looked at the wires that the woman was pointing at, "What is it?" 

"These," Tian Xifeng had a confident smirk on her face as she spoke, "These are the main wires. Haven't you seen them in movies? You cut one wire and the bomb stops. If you cut the wrong wire then it blows up."

"..." 

"You haven't seen such movies?" Tian Xifeng questioned in disbelief as she looked at the speechless expression on the man's face. 

Zhihao shook his head as he responded, "That's not it." 

"Then?" 

Zhihao sighed but didn't give her an answer as he crouched down and asked, "Which wire is the right one then?" 

Tian Xifeng held her hand up and shrugged her shoulders as she replied, "How am I supposed to know that?" 

Zhihao didn't know if he wanted to laugh or cry as he heard this response. 

"They are all important," It was Li Ying who spoke up as she informed, "These four wires are connected to the main device so we can't know which one is the one we are supposed to be cutting" 

Zhihao frowned as he looked at the wires, "Then let's cut them all."

Li Ying blinked in surprise as she heard the man's suggestion. 

Tian Xifeng broke out laughing as she smacked Zhihao's back and exclaimed, "Stop joking around, Gege!" 

"..." 

I'm not really joking... 

"It would be suicide to cut them all at once," Tian Xifeng added as she continued to laugh, thinking that Zhihao had said it as nothing more than a joke. 

"Is that so...?" Zhihao muttered under his breath as he kept his eyes on the wires. 

"We can't even choose according to the color because they are all the same," Li Ying sighed as she sat down on the ground with her legs crossed over each other. 

"I wonder why..." Zhihao couldn't help but want to cut them all at once but since Tian Xifeng had already warned him not to be that reckless, he would naturally listen to her. 

"Mastermo, you have great luck, don't you?" Li Ying suddenly questioned and Zhihao was a bit surprised as he had a foreboding feeling in his stomach. 

Tian Xifeng clapped her hand as she heard Li Ying, "That's right! Gege has amazing luck! Every time he enters a lottery, he wins!" 

"You couldn't possibly be hoping to rely on my luck... Right?" Zhihao asked in disbelief, having the gut feeling that this was exactly what the two girls were trying to get at. 

Li Ying pursed her lips in a thin smile as she nodded her head and pulled Jiangshi down to sit with her as she spoke, "I don't have such luck. Jiangshi here is even worse and I don't think we even need to talk about Richlord's luck." 

Tian Xifeng nodded with a sigh as she confirmed, "My luck has perished before it could even be born." 

"..." 

"You're the only one who can be trusted." 

Zhihao gulped as he immediately shook his head, "Definitely not!" 

Li Ying frowned as she replied, "We are running out of time. We can't figure it out so this is the last thing we can do. Do you prefer staying here and waiting for that thing to blow up? We would all die if that happens."

"And if I'm wrong, we all still die," Zhihao retorted as he stood up immediately, "My luck can't be trusted that much." 

Tian Xifeng and Li Ying shared a look before turning to Zhihao as they exclaimed together, "Even if you kill us, we won't blame you." 

"..." Zhihao gulped as he looked at the girls in shock. 

"We are serious!" Li Ying exclaimed as she handed Zhihao a scissor, "You cut it." 

"Yingying, this is not a joke," Zhihao spoke up as he looked down at the scissors. 

"And nobody said it was a joke," Li Ying was quick to respond. 

"..." Zhihao could do nothing but sigh as he looked at the wires that were all red in color. 

"Mastermo, believe in your luck," Li Ying gave a thumbs-up as she tried to cheer the man on. 

Zhihao couldn't help but feel that rather than saying that this girl trusted his luck, it would be more accurate to say that she didn't want to deal with it so she pushed the decision over to Zhihao. 

"Gege, I know you can do it," Tian Xifeng beamed, "If you manage to cut the correct wire, I'll tell you a really big secret!" 

Li Ying's eyes widened ever so slightly as she snapped her head at Tian Xifeng and wondered if that big secret was the same secret that Li Ying was thinking of.
