Why don't you build a village on top of the world tree

Episode Four: Invitations to First and Big Jobs

The architectural credentials have been lightly taken.

It was light enough to clap it out.

Permits were given in flow work without emotion or snagging.

I served my purpose but it's incomplete burning, but I don't know what it is, this mood...

All right, let's switch heads.

"Reward Time, Reward Time"

We're going to see the oblique bridge in the clouds.

Leaving the test venue, Richay waited with his back on the entrance wall.

He is called out by a man with a sticky head. Richay seems uninterested but only hits the gavel.

Looking aside, Richay has a bad attitude, but I know he's not the kind of kid that Richay would behave meaninglessly and insignificantly in his interactions during the five days before the exam.

I approached them listening and listening to the conversation, thinking I was bad.

"- So why don't you work as a librarian apprentice for a fictitious library? Some readers of history books you've been compiling for me since I was a young girl. [M] I think it's a good job for you. [M] I know you're strong on numbers, and I can understand that you want to do a job that makes use of it, but I guess you haven't decided where to get a job yet?

"So I'm going to decide where to start today."

"An example boy. I'm sorry to say this, but the architect's credentials are not as simple as a 20-year-old can take. Besides, even if you pass, it's another question of whether you can do your job well afterwards."

"Reality theory is fine. Based on that, I wanted to work with you."

We were talking pretty serious. I was wondering if they were even numbing me, sorry.

Nevertheless, can I speak up here? I wonder if it would be better if the two of us had a paragraph to talk about. Or should I join in and convince that man to reassure him?

You should be relieved that you're going to be Richay's employer. I guess so.

"Richay, you've been waiting for me. Thank you. What about you?

Speaking up, Richay and the others cut off the conversation as they noticed me.

Richay shows the man with the sticky head by hand.

"He who is a scribe in a fictitious library. He asked me if I could be a clerk apprentice."

"Heh, specifically, what do you do for a clerk apprentice?

"Organize books and clean them. I think I'll show the visitors later. Half the secretary's salary, though."

It's terrible to hear it's half price, but it seems like you're getting quite a bit of a fictitious big librarian, and maybe it's reasonable if you're an apprentice.

"Slowness paves the way for a clerk, or something?

"Maybe not in a hundred years. If a library was created in some city before that, they'd send it."

"That's possible, too. I've only heard of libraries in Yoinsley."

"Over the past few years, the Founding Fathers have been working on whether or not to build libraries in other cities. Collecting knowledge is good, but given conservation, it's better to disperse it."

"Valuable material was molded when I realized it. We don't have a spare, so you're not gonna talk about it."

Richay nodded at my words and then seemed to notice the medal I was lowering from my neck.

"You passed."

"Yeah. It was an out-of-the-box easy exam. I wasn't aware when you were teaching me, but it looks like my master taught me strictly. I need to write a thank you letter later."

Richay turns back to the man. For some reason, he looked a little docile.

"That's the thing, so I refuse to talk to the secretary. I don't know what to say instead, but I have a kid in the same facility as me, a kid named Micam. It's my recommendation."

"... were you turning down without a nibble to give way? Mr. Richay's recommendation would be fine, but I'll give you an interview or so."

"Go ahead. He's a much better character than me."

The man smiled bitterly and looked at me.

"Try not to make Mr. Richay cry. I'm replacing the sisters of the orphanage kids, so if you make them cry, it's gonna be a big deal."

"I'll remember the liver."

The man returned his heel satisfied with my response and walked out to the great library of fiction.

I walk out with Richay towards a bridge across the clouds.

"Are you sure you're glad I turned down the story about the clerk apprentice? It's a steady income."

"It's okay. Micam is a pull-in idea, so if we don't do this, we won't be able to decide where to get a job for much longer. He's been to the library with me a couple of times, so he knows the secretary."

By the way, it sounds like Richay's two youths. Me and Richay are the same age, so from what I can tell, they're seventeen under two.

Adults are fifteen. Even if I said it wasn't a world where work would be decided soon, there wouldn't be that much room in an orphanage, and it would have been a good opportunity.

It's up to a kid named Micam to decide if he wants to talk to me or not.

"Do you have an office? I've kept an eye on some of the blind properties, but they're not even selling names as architects yet, so they're going to go hand in hand with the Devil's Bug Hunter, right?

"I'm going to go both ways, but they're going to be good offices as architects from Jonesley for the first few years. By the way, I'm not gonna set up an office yet, but what's the market going on?

"from 300 iron coins with one payment per year"

Three brunch eaters.

It would be about 350 iron coins a year if I lived in Cheap Lodging, but they serve a meal that is the least or the bottom line. Would it be more than four hundred if one or the office were to be set up, considering the building alone and the meal for two?

Stuck it up, you'll be able to keep it down to about three hundred and fifty, just like Affordable Lodging, but there will be plenty of opportunities for you to stay away from Yoinsley and work in other towns and villages for a while. When that happens, the cost of maintaining the office is completely wasted. This is all the more so when you think about staying at an Affordable Accommodation on a business trip.

"If there's someone out there who can nominate me and ask for me, you should set up an office, but you don't need it for the time being yet."

"Right. You'll be stuck for a while."

"Can you self-cater?

"... there's nothing I can't do."

It was an anxious answer. Looks like I'd rather be in charge of the kitchen even if I set up an office.

"Still, Branch Eater is a demon bug, isn't it? You only get a hundred iron coins if you crusade one for your life?

"Depending on the urgency, the market for crusade requests is 100 pieces of iron. The food damage is serious, but the brunch eater itself won't do any good, so it won't be money. If this is a monster worm that will be made of Bird Eater Spider, the amount will jump."

"You use nest yarn, or the liquefied yarn you're storing in your body, for building materials, right?

"Yes, yes. Look, the rope on the oblique bridge on the top of the cloud is made from the yarn of the bird eater spider. Plus, it could be used on the fall prevention net."

I could use another yarn to the extent of accepting someone who fell, but if the air corridor collapses in some kind of accident, we're going to place a safety net using a bird eater spider yarn to avoid secondary damage to the building below. Sometimes complaints come when this net damages the landscape, and it is also a source of concern for architects and bridge builders.

It's like a wire from a place called Japan in the past life. I think I'm familiar with the view of that wire and pole as a Japanese town, but there are a certain number of people who don't like it.

"Have you decided on your first job?

"He asked me if I would get a job offer when I got my permit, and I said I would. I can't leave it to you before or after you mediate, so it looks like you're going to be working in a joint venture with a senior architect the first few times. The meeting is scheduled for the day after tomorrow."

No job starts without building credibility. I was told in my previous life that the foundation for building credibility is merit and character by souring my senior mouth.

So let's move on to making track records.

The site of my first job as an architect was one of the surrounding villages supplying vegetables and more to Yoinsley.

They're going to rebuild the house as your son leaves the house to get married.

"So you're going to lose the children's room, and you're going to have to put that in storage and the kitchen, right?

"Yeah, do that. The kitchen is big enough for both of us to cook, please."

My wife, who seems nice to me, said she wanted a daughter, and that she dreamed of cooking with me. He has a good relationship with his son's daughter-in-law and wants to try cooking with him because he's like his daughter even if the blood isn't connected.

If you're in storage space, your husband makes woodworking and it seems to accumulate, which is necessary to keep the work. I laughed vaguely because they showed me a piece of shape that I don't understand. Japanese affectionate laughter skills proved to be common in different worlds.

Ask for the budget, me and Richay, derive the salaries of the artisans who are going to participate in the construction, and tour this and wisdom to fulfill the demands of your couple.

It is a simple request. That's why it's a show of arms.

"Don't worry about your husband making his legs a little worse."

We talked about no obstacle to everyday life, but it would be remarkable as we grew older.

You can't have a house that doesn't really fit in or have a high or low difference. Sometimes my son and his wife are going to come and visit with their grandchildren, and it would be tough if the injury was caused by the house.

You won't even need to wrap your hands around it, but you should make it easier to get to and from the room in the house.

Where the image has solidified, face the drawing table.

"Amane, a senior architect has brought a craftsman."

"Oh, I'm coming."

Reply to Richay and get up.

When I looked back, Richay's blue eye was right in front of me.

Though unintentionally rigid, Richay's eyes seem to be pointed at the blueprints, not mine.

"You make a slope in the storage?

"Make two entrances and exits. Outside and inside the house, like you can put it in storage from either side. However, it is not a good idea to have dust coming in from the outside, so keep the slope on. Your husband's work is also trinket-centric, so using a shelf on the wall side is enough. Your wife likes to keep things tidy, and the storage was pretty clean when you showed her the house earlier."

"Looks like the only slope is the central passage. But I think we're gonna use extra space for that when we get in and out of both ends."

It becomes a dead space in which objects cannot be placed in front of the door in the room space. Getting in and out of the storeroom at both ends simply means that there are two doors, which adds more dead space for that.

"That's true, though. Did you see the dandruff in the house?

When asked, Richay shook her neck to the side.

I don't think his wife cleaned the house to invite in a visitor named us. Perhaps even cleaning it will bring crumbs inside when your husband brings the pieces in.

Then you should design it to move around shorter with your husband wearing dandruff. I have also suggested this to the couple and have obtained their consent.

That husband, when he makes one piece, he gets up and carries it into the storeroom, and then he looks at Niyanya. It's your wife's story, but as far as your husband's reaction goes, it wouldn't be a mistake.

"You've devised a way to take precedence over securing the requested space and not bring any scraps into the house. Maybe you should tell that to the artisans."

"I'm gonna talk to you."

I leave the lodging room I only rent during this job and head to the first floor.

A senior architect and a pair of artisan-like people were drinking tea. One is a middle-aged man with a mustache and the other is about the same age as me or Richay.

"Oh, he's a new American architect. Halo Roth!"

A girl who was listening boringly to a conversation between a senior architect and a middle-aged craftsman finds us, gets up, and throws a greeting she's never even heard of. I was waving my hands boom and claiming my existence.

She looks like an active girl to watch her brunette bob cut. I have so little cloth area that I can see my elbows and knees, but I have no color tone at all. My chest is pretty good too because I shake my hands every time I wave... I can't be sure...

You're a girl in elementary school who joins the boys in dodgeball and laughs high at the last quotes left. To put it more bluntly, he's a cheerful guy.

"C, Halo Roth......"

I wave my right hand gently as Richay was bewildered, returning the words with a voice that I could hear or not.

And me, too, Halo Roth.

Oh, my God. That's a good speech.

"Nori, that's good! And you're young. Even when I said new America, I was an architect, so I imagined people like two or three hundred. About the same age? Twenty? Nineteen?"

"We're all nineteen, Halo Roth."

"Oh, that's a tattoo. I say Melmie, Halo Roth."

"I'm Amane, Halo Roth."

Watch Richay with Melmie. Richay looked at me and Melmie with the same eyes as even a rare beast, but he opened his mouth to say he couldn't resist the flow of introductions.

"Li, it's Richay...... Halo Roth"

I slap Richay on the shoulder with Melmie, adding in a bright red face but with a fine voice.

"Richay, Hallorose said I had to say it with more enthusiasm"

"Say hello, Richay."

"Knock..."

Put down Rishay, who is holding his fist and pulling, and I'll fix my serious face and turn back to senior architects and middle-aged craftsmen.

"I've been entrusted with the head of this construction, Amane, the architect. Since this is my first job, I'm sure there are many places I can't get to, but thank you for your guidance."

When I bowed my head, a senior architect and a middle-aged artisan nodded cocklessly in the face that seemed to have failed to keep up with my change.

"Switch fast!

When I wonder if the only Melmie I'm following was able to twitch, I turn around behind the middle-aged artisan and bow my head to me and the senior architect.

"I ordered this job from the skyscraper Yoinsley. It's a wooden cage shop. Best regards,"

Melmie switches quickly, too. Unlike the voice you said Halo Roth or something, you can also make a clear voice.

"... what, you haven't been able to follow a young Nori because you're old enough"

"I'm sorry about our stupid daughter. This is where my arm is."

Where senior architects and middle-aged artisans comforted each other with their eyes, Richay prepared a new cup of tea for four on the desk. Richay himself would not surround the table, but would refrain from behind me.

Richay makes fun of the food, but he's just good at making tea for some reason. Good enough to make me want to try defying a world of disabling that would be sexually harassing if I gave you maid clothes.

"Now let's start talking about work. We'll start by checking with your client's order."

When I took the story to work, I could see from my eyes that both senior architects and middle-aged artisans switched heads.

By the time I finished talking, the first air was fogging somewhere.

"I understand Mr. Amane's design, but what happens to the cost?

The first person to pinch the question is a middle-aged craftsman. He's the manager of a wooden cage shop.

"I'll submit a detailed quote tomorrow as well"

This time a minimum gratuity is sent from Yoinsley to the client couple and artisans, as this is also the job that Yoinsley has prepared for the new American architects to gain experience.

But that's it. It is only natural that clients should be satisfied with more than just doing their job.

Fortunately, timber can be secured in this village. In this world where dwellings are made on top of world trees, the cost of wood is mostly transportation. It is very large that we can reduce it.

I think it's what got me turned around for a good job.

Construction began three days later.

It is gratifying to be able to shorten the period of time required for transport as well. The nails and the like are taken from Yoinsley.

Without the example of the craftsmen of this world, the craftsmen's movement at the wooden cage's shop was amazing. Four other craftsmen besides Melmie and her fatherly store manager, thought they'd been working on the sharing, were working on the flow, and at some point they're putting up pillars. Honestly, I was full of just paying attention where I needed confirmation. If it weren't for the senior architect, I might have made a hell of a mistake. Relax.

"Anyone at first is like that. Instead, you can stop the craftsmen where you need them, but you're good enough to make sure. When I was in New America, I was confused, and I couldn't even confirm it."

That's what senior architects encouraged me to do, while the construction ended at an incredible speed of fifteen days. twenty days, even including the period of demolition.

There is also little waste such as scraps coming out of building materials. If I thought it was because I use even fine pieces of wood for nothing, my client's husband would have left me alone. They were going to use it as a raw material for carpentry.

According to the documents, the buyer of the timber is my client, so if you'd told me, I would have given it to you.

That's why, at the same time as the construction is finished, I ask my client to hand over the house and confirm it.

He was satisfied because he had shown the blueprints in advance, and he came to see how they were doing every once in a while, even during construction.

"I heard that these types of construction are things that exceed the planned amount, but you were okay."

As my client's wife put it, it fit within the amount that was planned.

"We were blessed with the weather, and the location was good, so the construction went awry."

I see my client's husband.

"What about the storage? Are you satisfied?

For once, I'm bringing my husband's past work into the storage room. If you don't have something, then you have a completely different impression.

"Um, well, isn't that good? The tilt on the floor wasn't pinned just because they said the angle either, but it's not bad when you actually put your feet on"

"That's good. For once, the groove is carved and non-slip, so I don't think it's okay to go into the house from the storage side on a rainy day. There's water flowing outside, too. But we don't work outside on rainy days and we recommend going in and out of the front door"

"Let's do that."

I just satisfied my client, and it's time for the participants in this construction to be satisfied. I am talking about so-called salaries.

I speak to senior architects and middle-aged artisans and surround my desk on the ground floor of Affordable Accommodation.

"A thousand and three hundred iron coins when it comes to profits. This will take the form of distribution as contracted."

In addition to the senior architect, the wooden cage shop is divided between the manager and Melmie, four artisans, and me and the construction people.

Two hundred pieces of iron for a senior architect, a thousand pieces for a wooden cage engineer, and a hundred pieces for me on hand. We're going to deduct our expenses from this, but that's a non-contractual story.

In my case, I would distribute it to Richay from the hundred sheets at hand.

However, this request is my first job as an architect, and it can be a kind of request that is difficult to make a profit in the first place. It's only set as the biggest purpose to get senior architects to teach you the iroha of your job.

Experience is property that cannot be converted into money.

"Hmm, that's quite an accomplishment for your first job."

Senior architect praised me.

He had trouble without making his share of the profit, although it was the deficit that didn't come out when he was a senior architect. He kept a good offices job in anticipation that would happen on the part of Yoinsley, and he said he had no trouble eating it?

They also told me that it was in their best interest to be able to make achievements while their seniors taught them.

Thus, my first job as an architect was successfully completed.

- Of,

"A residential development plan, is it?

Listen back to the words of the senior architect.

The senior architect nodded in arms.

"Anything seems to be the intention of the other side to ask a young architect. I don't know the details, but I was called to ask if there were any good young people from the Chamber of Commerce who were planning to participate. Amane, why don't you join us?

"I still can't plan anything massive, no matter how much. I'm tempered to just build a house."

"I'm not talking about anything right now. A year or two, well, that'll take about that. Amane, depending on your strength, you may be directly examined by the Chamber of Commerce. Now think about the rumors that we need to talk about that."

That's what I call flagging.

- I look at the sender of the letter, recalling an exchange about a year ago that said - etc.

"Comatsu Chamber of Commerce...... I don't know"

A year after my first job, I worked everywhere as an architect, and then I earned money hunting demon worms, a letter that was delivered to all the offices I had just set up in this Yoinsley the other day.

The smell of the flag already binds.

"What are you thinking staring at the letter?

Listens as Richay picks cookies.

For a year, Richay has been supporting me as a clerk and accountant. The opportunity to give made-up clothes still does not come. I only confirmed that made-up clothes exist, but they are very expensive.

In this world, I don't really like clothing that has a wide hem so that the wind doesn't stir it up and fall off the air corridor. The thicker and heavier the fabric most clothes go to the hem, there are multiple buttons to stop the front.

There are a few skirts and mufflers that are prone to wind stirring, but the combination of hammers and decorations is a luxury that can be worn by a very limited number of wealthy people, such as the founder clan, on a larger scale than the city.

I could do another reason to go for the skyscraper. I want a maid.

"Hey, what if I opened the letter early?

After Richay clings on, he reaches for the last cookie.

But Richay's fingertips barely blurred the last one as his hand extended from the side near touching him.

"- Ah."

Richay raised a small protest, but the culprit who faked the cookies cheeked the last one all over his mouth in a flowing motion.

Richay stares laterally.

"Melmie, you won't be an employee here"

Even in the wake of the protest, Melmie flaunted her shoulders with a bare face.

"Look, it's a customer."

"If you're a customer, bring me one of your work stories."

"No, no, Amane's been working for the past year without taking much time off. Mr. Melmie, I wish I could just stay here and heal him."

"I'm good enough for the healing."

"Earlier on, you tried to make a job?

The misspoken Rishay swells. It's a bit of a surreal sight because it's something that gives her such a childish look like a blonde biscuit doll.

Melmie happily has Richay's cheek on her fingertips.

Side by side with the two good friends, I'll cut the seal on the letter.

What came out of it was an indication, a participatory diagnosis of a plan to create a large residential area.
