Gu Hongyu carefully observed the raptor chasing them for a while and was very happy. If he was not mistaken, the raptor should be the Stellar Sea Eagle, which is a rare species in China now. It is very lucky to see it here.

The Stellar Sea Eagle is a large raptor, with a body length of 76-84 cm, a wingspan of 200-250 cm, and a male weight of 2100-3700 grams. The female weighs 2000-3300 grams. The beak is slightly thin, the head is slender, and the neck is also long. In the air, the wings are up to 2 meters long, with a pair of fierce and glowing eyes.

They live in open areas of high-altitude river valleys, mountains, and grasslands. They often go to deserts, grasslands, alpine lakes and rivers to hunt prey. Sometimes they are seen flying over fishing villages and farmlands near waters. The activity altitude is between 3,200 and 4,700 meters above sea level.

They mainly feed on fish and waterfowl, and often catch various waterfowl on the water surface, such as geese, swan chicks and other birds. In grasslands and deserts, they mainly feed on rodents such as marmots, yellow mice, and pikas, and sometimes even eat lambs occasionally.

The white-lipped deer is a precious specialty animal in China and is regarded as a "sacred deer" in its place of origin. It is also an ancient species. Its fossils have been found in the strata as early as the late Pleistocene.

The white-lipped deer is a mountain animal living in high-altitude areas. It is distributed at a high altitude and is active in forest shrubs, shrub meadows and alpine meadow grasslands at 3500-5000 meters, especially in the forest line area as its most suitable habitat. There is a phenomenon of vertical migration. Due to food and water sources or because of being hunted, they can also make horizontal migrations of up to 100-200 kilometers. But under normal circumstances. They wander around a mountain with abundant water grass and shrubs.

In 2003, the world's largest wild population of white-lipped deer was discovered in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with a total of more than 5,000 heads. However, no one has heard of seeing a large herd of white-lipped deer in places like Qilian Mountains.
