Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1044 Frustrated Confidence

After the second game, four months passed in a flash, and finally, the final round of the Tri-Widget Tournament arrived.

Starting from early in the morning, people began to arrive at the viewing stands for the finals one after another.

Even though the current situation in the magic world is not very stable, there are still many people willing to support this game.

When Harry, Hermione and Ron went downstairs to the Great Hall for breakfast, they saw some people standing in the entrance hall, which immediately made the three of them look surprised.

Sirius and Remus - Their appearance was expected by Harry, because Harry wrote a letter to Sirius and told his godfather that he would appear in the third task.

But when he actually saw his father's two good friends, Harry's heart was overwhelmed with joy.

The appearance of the Weasleys and Bill was completely beyond their expectations.

"I didn't expect it!"

Mrs. Weasley was the first person to notice them coming down from upstairs. She pushed Sirius who was standing in front of him away and ran over quickly. Without waiting for Harry and the other two to say anything, she gave them a hug.

"Oh, you're choking me, Mom!"

Ron, who was the last to be hugged, coughed twice and said in an unnatural tone, looking over his mother's shoulder at his father who was looking at him with a smile,
"You all came to the game, Dad?"

"Amosta wrote to us, inviting us to watch the game and telling us that you would be playing. After learning this, we immediately decided to come to Hogwarts to watch the game."

Mr. Weasley said, looking at Ron with a smile.

"We also wrote to Charlie and told him about this, but the dragons couldn't leave him, so he asked me to say sorry to you. As for Percy--"

Bill shrugged and explained,

"You know his style, Ron."

"It's not entirely Percy's fault—"

Remus smiled kindly and said,
"As you already know, he has become my assistant. I'm not there, and Amelia has also come to Hogwarts. We must leave someone in the workshop who can handle emergencies."

Amelia
Harry's eyes naturally fell on the beautiful girl next to Sirius, and his mouth opened slightly, looking a little surprised.

If he remembered correctly, this girl seemed to be a wizard from the American wizarding world. How could she come to England? Moreover, judging from Remus' tone, she seemed to have entered the learning machine workshop to work.

The girl gave them a restrained smile, as if she was nervous about her surroundings.

After Harry and Hermione responded with a similar smile, Harry jumped down the stairs and gave Sirius a hug.

"How does it feel?"

Sirius affectionately ruffled Harry's black hair, which would never obey, and said with a grin,

"This is an unprecedented grand occasion, just like the Quidditch World Cup final. Will you feel a little uncomfortable?"

"Oh, actually it's okay--"

Harry said, but his not-so-loud voice showed that he was actually a little nervous.

On the other side, Mrs. Weasley finally let go of Ron. She held Ron's cheek and looked at him carefully for a few seconds, then pulled Harry to her side and looked at him carefully.

"You two look a little thinner!"

Mrs. Weasley's round face was filled with anger.

“It’s all that idiot.”

"Molly."

Mr. Weasley interrupted Mrs. Weasley's complaints with a gentle voice.
"Since this matter has been resolved, let it go. Besides, the three of them are about to step onto the court and we shouldn't create bad emotions for them at this time."

This was an argument that Mrs. Weasley could not refute. She took a deep breath and put a smile on her face again.

"Oh, well, your dad is right. You definitely haven't had breakfast yet. That won't do. You still have a tough competition to deal with!"

So, surrounded by a group of people, Harry and the other two were pushed into the auditorium.

But to be honest, they had no appetite in this situation. Even Ron, who liked to use eating as a way to relieve stress, couldn't eat even a sausage after realizing that he would have to go to the stadium in less than two hours and his figure would be seen by the entire European wizarding world.

"That won't do--"

Mrs. Weasley frowned as she looked at Ron, who was sipping pumpkin juice and whose legs were shaking with nervousness.
"Fred, George and Ginny weren't as nervous as you, Ron. Your two brothers even carried a bag of meat pies before going into the woods."

"Oh, of course they have a good appetite, because they don't have to worry about being in front of tens of thousands of wizards."

Ron muttered, but before he could finish his words, he was interrupted by Hermione's suddenly raised and shrill voice.
"Into the woods?" Hermione was struck by lightning. She stared at Mrs. Weasley in shock.
"Mrs. Weasley, you just said that Fred, George, and Ginny went into the forest. The Forbidden Forest, but why did they go there? Isn't that the venue for the third event?!"

pat!

Harry's grip on the toast loosened suddenly, his mouth opened wide, his expression blank and a little panicked.

"Oh, you don't know yet?"

Seeing him like this, Sirius was slightly surprised and said,

"Amosta brought a number of students into the Forbidden Forest early in the morning. They were all the students in the physical education class he taught. He told us that those students were among the examiners for the warriors and assistants."

Ron's expression turned visibly bitter, and he said in a sad tone,
"Is it too late to change assistants now, Hermione?"

Under normal circumstances, Ron would have been criticized by Hermione if he was so depressed, but now, the expression on Hermione's face, which was quickly losing color, was also very ugly.

“The truth is out.”

Harry said 'desperately',
"No wonder Professor Brain wants to find an assistant for the warrior. Hermione, Fred, George, and Ginny are unwilling to say anything about the final exam of physical education class. Maybe the content of their exam is to beat us in the game?"

"Very likely, Harry."

Hermione's lips moved and she gasped.

The three people who were about to participate in the competition looked at each other, all with boring expressions.

"Is this challenge so scary?"

The conversation between Harry and the other two made Sirius look both amused and confused.
"Is it scarier than dragons and mermaids? Oh, the principals of Durmstrang and Beauxbatons also saw those little wizards entering the Forbidden Forest. They looked relaxed."

"That's because they don't understand, Sirius!"

Harry's mood became visibly anxious.

"If they knew how we trained in physical education class and in Professor Brian's spiritual world, they would know that facing this kind of challenge, the possibility of winning is almost zero!"

Sirius and Remus looked at each other. After a few seconds of silence, Sirius smiled.

"If that's the case, what are you going to do? Are you going to give up?"

give up?

The three people fell into extreme anxiety and stopped talking.

It is impossible for them to give up. They don't want to be regarded as cowards.

"I believe that since Amosta set such a challenge, he must have taken your abilities into consideration."

Amelia, who was a bystander, suddenly said,

"He can't let you face an unbeatable opponent, right?"

"Come on, girls and boys!"

Mr. Weasley smiled.

"It's too early to lose confidence now. We still have to wait and see when Amosta announces the rules of the competition. Besides, your advantage is obvious, isn't it?"

"Advantage?"

Ron's lips turned pale.

“I don’t see where our advantage is.”

"At the very least, the warriors of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang still don't understand that the insignificant opponents that Amosta found for them are actually a group of terrifying guys, aren't they?"

Mr. Weasley's words made Harry and the other two frown slightly.

"Is this an advantage, Sirius?"

Harry asked.

"Of course. Didn't Amosta teach you?"

Sirius gave Harry an encouraging smile.

"Understanding your opponent is the prerequisite for victory." (End of this chapter)
