Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1124: Disbanding Azkaban

Stop using Dementors and... build a wizard prison somewhere else?!
Amelia looked at Amosta in confusion, wondering if the serious Amosta was playing a joke on her!
There is no doubt that Azkaban prison guarded by Dementors is notorious throughout the wizarding world.

But no one would doubt that Dementors and Azkaban Prison are a sharp sword in the hands of the Ministry of Magic and an important support for the Ministry of Magic to maintain its power and dignity.

Even an unruly wizard like Sirius Black would feel fear when he heard about Azkaban!
Now, Amos Stark suggested that the Ministry of Magic abolish Azkaban, which is tantamount to cutting off the Ministry of Magic's own arm during this important period of time!
"I didn't expect you to suggest something like that, Amosta--"

This suggestion also shocked Dumbledore for a moment, but when he came to his senses, he had a comforted expression.

"I have no doubt that this decision will make many people happy, Amosta—"

Amelia's face was solemn. She shook her head slightly.

"But without Azkaban, how can we deter evil?"

"Except for some unforgivable crimes, the purpose of punishment is to persuade people to do good, Amelia--"

Amelia and Dumbledore were quite surprised by what came out of Amosta's mouth. They didn't expect that he, who was so ruthless, would have such insights.

"--and the Dementors in Azkaban only push any wizard who might be on the right track further to the extreme."

Amosta looked at Amelia meaningfully.

"Let's not talk about whether using Dementors is humane. Amelia, do you really think that Dementors still obey the orders of the Ministry of Magic?"

Click!

Amelia was shocked by what Amosta said in a flat tone!

"I did consider the possibility—"

Dumbledore was silent for a moment.

"After the Azkaban breakout and the loss of the Dementor's bond from the Unspeakables, I was concerned about whether this might happen."

"But."

Amelia was certainly not stupid, she quickly understood what Amosta and Dumbledore meant. Amelia frowned.
"At the time of judgment, you."

"I can command Dementors based on some special magic that I have mastered that cannot be replicated."

Amosta said,
"But you can see that I can only reluctantly command them. I think that only the party who controls the contract can exercise strong control over them, and the Dementors themselves would probably be more willing to follow the orders of the Death Eaters."

Seeing that Amelia was still hesitant, Amosta said solemnly,

"Let me be frank. Dementors are no longer trustworthy. They may just be pretending to follow the Ministry's orders. If I were Voldemort, I would do this. Let the Dementors pretend to be trustworthy, and then strike back at the critical moment."

Amelia pursed her lips.

Indeed, Amosta was not worrying about nothing, but it was very likely to happen.

Seeing that Amosta had not finished speaking, Dumbledore's eyes flickered and he asked in a gentle tone,

"Since you have made this suggestion, Amosta, I believe you have also considered the location of the new wizard prison and its security facilities?"

Amelia paused to weigh the pros and cons and stared at Amosta.

"A new prison is being built deep in the forbidden forest."

Time was running out for everyone, and Amosta had no time to evade the question.

"I have considered this matter before, Headmaster Dumbledore. I believe you remember that I drove all the eight-eyed spiders living in the Forbidden Forest to the depths of the Forbidden Forest."

Dumbledore's eyelids twitched slightly. He did remember that this was what happened not long ago. At that time, Amosta made quite a noise in the middle of the night. He didn't expect that he had such a plan!
"Using eight-eyed spiders to guard prisoners"

Amelia's thoughts were racing.

Dementors are interested in the souls of wizards, while Acromanthus are interested in the bodies of wizards.
Of course, Amosta definitely didn't intend to feed the prisoners to the eight-eyed spider.

He just wanted to use the eight-eyed spider's notoriety to deter crime.

"The eight-eyed spider is just one of the many lines of defense in the new prison."

Amosta continued, "The prison will be built in an unknown secret place deep in the forbidden forest. It is a very hidden secret place, which belongs to a group of people who are not from the British magic world but want to integrate into the British magic world. These people are generally upright and peace-loving.

I have communicated with them, and in order to integrate into the British wizarding world, they are willing to guard the new wizard prison for us. They will also be responsible for the spiritual education of the prisoners."

"They will?"

Dumbledore's silver eyebrows and beard trembled constantly, and he looked quite surprised.

“I convinced them.”

Amosta said briefly, then looked at the confused Amelia.
"I'll explain the identity of this group later, Amelia. The Ministry of Magic can sign a contract with them for a period of one hundred years. They will guard prisoners for wizards, and the magical community will provide them with shelter. Of course, they will also need to be paid. These people will be the solid second line of defense for the new wizard prison."

Amelia's breathing was rapid, and she found herself increasingly unable to keep up with Amosta's pace.

"So there is a third rule?"

As expected of Dumbledore, he immediately understood and asked.

"Oh--"

Amosta smiled slightly, his expression calm. He raised a finger and pointed at Dumbledore, then pointed at his own chest.

"The third line of defense is us."

this.
The corners of Dumbledore's mouth twitched and he shook his head slightly.

This suggestion is indeed sound.

With Amosta staying at Hogwarts, there would be no problems with the new wizard prison for at least the next century.

Unless, they simply failed in the fight against the evil forces led by Voldemort.

"I cannot act alone, Amosta, Albus--"

Abolishing Azkaban and establishing a new wizard prison is indeed a matter of great importance.

Even Amelia, the acting minister, couldn't give an immediate response.

"I need to communicate with the directors of the various departments in the ministry and some deputy ministers and consult their opinions--"

Amelia took a deep breath.
"But I believe they will support it. After all, you are right. Dementors are indeed unreliable. It is better to let them stay quietly in Azkaban prison."

"If this resolution passes muster, Amelia—"

Dumbledore said solemnly,

"When the Azkaban criminals are transferred, Amosita and I had better get involved."

This was to prepare for any eventuality. Amosta had this plan as well, so he nodded in agreement.

"Announce the resurrection of the mysterious man and the abolition of Azkaban--"

Amelia muttered to herself, and suddenly she looked at Amosta.

"This can indeed calm down the turbulent public opinion, but Amosta, this seems to have nothing to do with what you said before, the pursuit of the previous fugitives?"

"That brings me to my third suggestion."

Amosta smiled and said,
"Amelia, at the next press conference, I hope you can tell the wizarding world that I hope those Azkaban prisoners on the run will give up their hopes and surrender."

Voluntarily surrender? !
"What are your countermeasures?"

Dumbledore asked, narrowing his eyes.

With a faint smile on his face and a deep look in his eyes, Amosta slowly told us the plan he had been planning for a long time.

Dumbledore listened attentively. As Amosta spoke, he was puzzled at first, then surprised, then suddenly realized, and even felt a little admiration. In short, his expression was extremely exciting! (End of this chapter)
