Homecoming from Hogwarts

Chapter 1213 Arrival

Many people are paying attention to the NEWTS course, which has two physical education classes a week.

But after learning from the students who had taken the course during lunch that the advanced physical education courses were returning to the textbooks, everyone was disappointed, including Harry, Neville and others.

Most people hope that Professor Brian can come up with an endless supply of interesting training subjects that will allow them to intuitively feel their own progress, rather than just writing and drawing calculations on a pile of parchment.

However, Hermione was looking forward to it, because compared to those trainings, this was the area where she was truly good at.

Apart from this, there is only one thing worth looking forward to this week.

That is the study exchange group that is about to arrive at Hogwarts.

Although Professor Brian did not say anything specific at the opening dinner, for various reasons, the specific identities of the exchange delegation members have spread like wildfire.

Most people think this is quite interesting, but some people disagree.

"I will never eat with those beasts. They will hurt me!"

"That's right, unless you chain them up. Can you imagine, Thalia, having a twenty-foot-tall, smelly giant sitting next to you while you eat?"

One night, when Ron and Hermione were patrolling the castle together, they heard two first-year Slytherin wizards say this. Then, the two little guys were chased back to the common room by the furious Hermione.

Turning around, Hermione found Ron standing under a huge scoring hourglass, deep in thought.

"what happened?"

Hermione raised her eyebrows high.
"Do you think what they say makes sense?"

"A giant is taller than a troll, right?"

After a hesitation, Ron shrugged and said,
"I just think that it's not that I can't accept being with elves or goblins, but giants... They have amazing destructive power. Look at Diagon Alley now, almost half of it is due to them."

Hermione's face flushed.

She didn't want to admit it, but she had to admit that what Ron said made some sense.

It would be a disaster if a naturally manic giant appeared in the Great Hall of Hogwarts!
"In short, Professor Brian will definitely find a way to restrain their behavior!"

Hermione said angrily, then turned and went up the stairs.

It has to be said that Amosita's move was very bold. If it were not for his own prestige, the entire magical community would probably be filled with protests.

Some senior officials in the department also do not understand this "deviant" behavior, but they all choose to support it.

After all, without the goblins' help, how could they clean up the wizarding world that had become abnormal in every aspect because of Voldemort?

Just like when they welcomed the students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons at the start of the Triwizard Tournament.

The classes on Friday afternoon ended and, organized by their respective college deans, they lined up at the marble steps at the castle entrance.

The young wizards chattered non-stop, and the scene was somewhat chaotic. The professors had no time to maintain order because they themselves were also worried about the upcoming guests.

"Are you sure it's going to be okay, Amosta?"

Professor McGonagall asked quietly, clenching her hands nervously.

"If you ask me to promise that there will be no trouble, I cannot do that, Minerva -"

Amosta said,
"But I believe everything is under control."

Professor McGonagall not only did not relax, but became even more nervous. The same was true for other faculty members who heard Amosita's answer. Professor Victor even drew his wand, looking as if he was ready to fight something at any time.

It was a cold but fresh night. Night was falling and a white, translucent moon was hanging over the forbidden forest.

Harry looked around like everyone else, discussing how the exchange group would appear before them.

"The goblins might even fly a carriage the size of Gringotts into the school!"

Colin Creevey, a big fan of Harry, held up his camera and said half-jokingly.

The hour and minute hands on the watch overlapped at 'five'. Harry glanced behind him and saw that the candles in the Great Hall had been lit.

"That is."

Because of their experience at Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, the young wizards' eyes were focused on the Black Lake and the sky, but when the door of the small wooden house on the edge of the Forbidden Forest opened, Harry noticed it immediately.

Harry's surprised voice attracted the attention of some people around, and they immediately looked in the direction of his gaze.

"One of them was Hagrid, no doubt—"

Ron said something nonsense.

"But who is that person next to Hagrid? He looks really short. I mean, compared to Hagrid--" Neville asked with narrowed eyes.

Hagrid did not come alone, there were people following him.

The man was short compared to Hagrid, but compared to the little wizard, the two big Slytherin men, Crabbe and Goyle, were not as big as him.

"I'm sorry, Professor Dumbledore, Professor Blaine!"

From a distance, Hagrid's rough voice came over.

"I've been trying to persuade little Grawp to go out. He's a little sensitive and has never seen such a scene. You'd better not scare him!"

Harry, Ron, and Hermione looked at each other, confusion in their eyes.

Hagrid stopped about a hundred feet from them. Mainly because the fat man he was holding by the wrist couldn't go any further.

"Don't be shy, young man, we have an agreement."

Hagrid turned around and patted the burly man on the shoulder, then pulled him towards the castle.

The young wizards watched in horror as little Grawp struggled with Hagrid. His two feet stood straight, and two deep marks appeared on the grass where he passed.
Some young wizards were already retreating, and Professor McGonagall was holding her chest, looking like she was about to faint.

"Now I understand everything—"

Hermione turned pale and said to Ron and Harry,

"Hagrid doesn't keep a dragon in the house, he's just entertaining relatives -"

"Hello, Grawp—"

Amosta walked out from the faculty and came to Grawp, smiling calmly.

"Welcome to the castle--"

"Be a."

Harry saw that the burly man, whose wrist was always tightly grasped by Hagrid, was obviously a little scared when facing Professor Brain.
"eat"

"Oh, look at him, Professor Dumbledore, Professor Braine—"

Although there was a bruise on the corner of his eye, Hagrid said excitedly,
"Now that he knows what it means to be a guest, I know he can do it. Grawp has been hiding in the mountains and isolating himself from the world. He just lacks the experience of communicating with people!"

"Hermione--"

Suddenly, Ron, with a pale face, murmured,

"Is it too late to quit that friendly organization now? I am willing to pay ten times the gold you gave me in exchange for my freedom."

"Hagrid never told me that"

The vein on Harry's forehead was throbbing.

This sturdy man, whom Hagrid called Grawp, was not as powerful as Hagrid in terms of size, but Harry could vaguely feel that his strength was probably not inferior to Hagrid!
"Is this the giant?"

Neville was also a little shocked.

"I thought giants were about twenty feet tall, but this..."

Neville glanced at the two deep marks on the green grass from the corner of his eye.
"Oh, his strength seems to be up to standard."

"This is not what he really looks like—"

Hermione gasped.

"Giants have magical gifts that allow them to shrink themselves."

“Make Yourself Smaller”

Ron let out a few scary laughs.

"Why would they do that? Surely they don't realize that size would scare people?"

"Because giants sometimes come into the wizarding world to find mates and give birth to offspring. In that case, they must make their bodies suitable--"

Hermione still looked at Grawp with fear, but she couldn't control her instinct to 'do science'.

The giant will look for a wizard
Harry's mouth twitched, and he felt as if the sky was falling. (End of this chapter)
