17.1

The Master said: "Yuye, have you heard the six words and six words and six cover-ups?" Confrontation: "No." If you like to be trustworthy but don't learn, your concealment will be a thief; if you are straight but don't learn, your concealment will twist; if you are brave but don't learn, your concealment will become chaotic; if you are just but not learned, your concealment will become crazy."

The Master said: "The people of ancient times had three diseases, and they may perish today. The madness of the past was unbridled, and the madness of the present is also rampant; the pride of the past was clean, and the pride of the present is angry; It's just foolishness and deceit."

The Master said: "Smart words and demeanor are rare and benevolent."

The Master said: "It's hard to eat all day long and have nothing to do with your heart! There are no gamers, and it's like a virtuous one."

Zilu said: "Does a gentleman still value courage?" Zi said: "A gentleman regards righteousness as the most important thing. A gentleman who has courage but has no righteousness leads to chaos, and a villain who has courage but has no righteousness leads to robbery."

Zi Gong asked: "Do gentlemen also have evil?" The Master said: "There is evil. Those who call people evil are evil, those who live in low places and stalk the superiors, those who are brave and impolite, and those who are bold and suffocating." Said: "Is there also evil in giving?" "Those who are evil are regarded as wise, those who are evil are regarded as brave, and those who are evil are regarded as upright."

The Master said: "It's just that women and villains are difficult to raise. If they are close, they will not be grandchildren, and if they are far away, they will complain."

The Master said: "If you see evil at the age of forty, the end is over."
