Confucius replied: "Those who have a face are eager to learn, don't irritate, and don't have a second pass. Unfortunately, they died short-lived, and now they are dead, and there is no good scholar."

Confucius said: "The righteousness of serving the people is to respect ghosts and gods and keep them at a distance. This can be said to be known." Ask about benevolence.

Said: "The benevolent first makes it difficult and then obtains it. It can be called benevolence."

The Master said: "Those who know enjoy water, those who are benevolent enjoy mountains; those who know move, those who are benevolent are still;

The Master said: "When Qi changes, it becomes Lu; when Lu changes, it becomes Dao."

The Master said: "Gog is not gou, gou is! Gou is!"

Zai Wo asked: "The benevolent, even if you tell him: 'There is benevolence in the well.' Do you follow it?"

The Master said: "Why is this so? A gentleman can die, but he cannot be trapped; he can be deceived, but he cannot be ignored."

The Master said: "A gentleman is erudite in literature, and if he makes an appointment with courtesy, he can also help his husband."

The Master pointed at him and said: "For those who are denied, the sky will hate it! The sky will hate it!"

The Master said: "The doctrine of the mean is virtue, and it is the ultimate! The people have been rare for a long time."

Zi Gong said: "If there is something that can benefit the people, how about it? Can it be called benevolence?"

The Master said: "Whatever is in benevolence must also be holy! Yao and Shun are both sick! A benevolent man establishes others if he wants to stand up for himself, and reaches others if he wants to achieve himself. It can be called the way of benevolence."
