Chapter 4 The Four Great Desires of Man

Chapter 4 The Four Great Desires of Man (2)
The story of greed is so well known that there is little to discuss, and the morals are often used as a warning to future generations. Those who fall victim to a treacherous man, if they learn to doubt everyone and every motive, will seldom fall into the trap of a predator again. But generally speaking, after a person has been cheated, he falls again into another trap with a different bait. This bait happened to work for him, and all his suspicions were directed at the same bait as before. The following examples may help you recognize several ways in which greed is exploited to defraud you.

A man who is directed by someone else to make a large injection of capital into a certain company is told that other similar companies have made their owners very rich from the profits they have generated. After checking the man's statement, he believed that the new company would definitely succeed. He put his money in it, only to find out that his stake was worthless in the end.The first bait is his greedy heart for huge gains. He was told that if you don't take risks, you can't pay off, a mental proposition that doesn't always hold true.Mental attraction tells us that if you don't take risks, you can't lose, at least in this case.We have seen that it was greed that led him to bet more than half of his wealth on a very risky investment project, even though his financial conditions did not allow him to do so.If he is not greedy, but according to the requirements of spiritual attraction, puts money in safer projects, charges lower interest, and guarantees a small but relatively stable balance every year, those earnings are enough for him and his family to provide living expenses. From this point of view, as long as we are not greedy, everyone can make their economic conditions better and better with the help of attraction.

Now take stock of these spiritual laws of attraction.

A man has enough capital to support himself and his family comfortably, and has some savings each year for other needs, but he is not greedy. He also wanted to earn more wealth, so he considered investing in a new scheme, but he found that if he lost half of his income, life would be less comfortable. He believed that nothing could be gained without taking any risk. But mental attraction told him that if he didn't take any risks, he had nothing to lose. The state we have described has been repeated millions of times, and countless people have gone to the grave after breaking their hearts because of their own greed.Coal mines, gold mines, copper mines, silver mines, oil wells, and countless other lures spelled disaster for investors who had hoped to follow in the footsteps of those who made it.

There is another mental law of attraction. As we said, there are countless such laws, and what you see in this work is only a few of them.In fact, explaining and illustrating the laws would suffice us to write a large treatise ("Psychic Attraction"), and it is those laws that have prompted the author to dedicate the present work to students. Here we want to summarize an important rule that can best guide people to make relevant investments: Anyone who persuades people to buy equity or shares in a get-rich-quick project, even if its real value is only one-tenth of the declared value, has long been banned. The money is taken away, and there is no need to beg others to buy it.If a class of equity has real value, as long as it returns 3% or less, a lot of money will go into it.

Let's take a look at the behavior of those who were deceived and see how they fell into the trap again with changed bait.

The guy who last bought a worthless stake in a company held onto it for years.Later, a well-dressed gentleman approached him and asked if he was a shareholder of that company, and he said yes.The visitor was unhurried, and his expression was as calm as a pool of stagnant water, but convincing. All he said was that the company was going to be up and running. As if a large vein had been discovered with far more deposits than had been expected, a syndicate of prominent capitalists offered to purchase a considerable number of the sold shares of the restructured company. However, if they can't buy enough equity, they will have to abandon the plan.He is buying stock options in the company at premium prices, twice what the victim paid for the stock.Would he sell options at that price?meeting. There is no formal delivery procedure between them, not even a certificate, only an agreement to sell stock options at a very attractive price.

The man was so excited that night because life turned around again. After some time, he received a letter beginning with an inscription with the names of a number of managers working in suites in large cities, saying that the transaction had not been completed on schedule because they could not get enough money. Equity to control the restructured company. That's good news for shareholders, who are still looking for higher prices. At this point, a rival syndicate offers a higher price to buy the shares.A few days later, another glib man came by, claiming to represent the rival syndicate, offering to pay a 50% price increase for his stock. The would-be victim said he had sold stock options to the first syndicate. But the stranger told him the option was time-limited and it had already expired. While their conversation was still in progress, the first visitor sent a telegram asking for a one-month extension of the option and promising a higher price. The person who wanted to keep his capital safe decided to extend the options, and the second visitor left with a grunt and a disappointed expression on his face.

The victim's mind let down its guard.

A few days later, the first visitor came back and said that his syndicate only needed to buy a small part of the shares to take control, and there was one person who had just so many shares, which was just enough to meet their needs. However, he did not disclose any news about the syndicate. His share would have to be sold to some stranger at a discounted price plus interest, which would be fair in all respects. This small stake, added to the victim's original stake, would complete the deal. The person who came brought out a contract signed by the person in charge of the syndicate, in which they agreed to buy the two parts of the stock, but only if the victim agreed to buy the second part of the stock. The man, seeing an opportunity to make up for the previous loss and actually increase his own capital, agreed to the agreement, in effect buying the second tranche of stock. It also pretty much depleted his remaining capital. However, when the purchase transaction was completed, he found that he owned two worthless shares, and there was no news of any of the syndicates.Nor did he find the office building on which the first visitor said "we have suites up there."The second time he fell into a trap set by others, but the bait was changed.

If the person had learned a lesson in personal attractiveness, he would not have fallen into either of the two traps, nor would he have spent his later years disgraced and living off the handouts of others.

This story has been repeated countless times. We dare say that, even as we write this book, millions of people are suffering the pain of remorse and the torment.

Personal magnetism allows all individuals to use their judgment and willpower in complete independence.

We do not believe that anyone who has read this book will have their minds clouded and their willpower lost by that attractive substitute called greed. The goal of our work is to teach you the methods to avoid unnecessary losses.

Lesson 8

spiritual desire
We now explore the fourth and final essential spiritual desire of earthly humanity.Ask a group of thinkers which of these desires is the strongest.Their answer may put appetite at the top of the list.Next, because sex is given more attention, sexual desire is also at the top of the list.Again, they can find many reasons and regard greed as the most common and most urgent desire. In fact, all these desires play a balanced role in human life activities.

Every desire can be exploited by the treacherous, who use it as a tool for their own advantage in terms of money, wealth, influence, or power. In the early days of the barbaric age, the needs of appetite and sex were dominant, and they were not used as tools for profit or greed by cunning people as they are now.At that time, greed was not attractive enough to arouse the interest of ordinary people, and the vast field of spiritual desire was reserved for the upper elite.Influence, power, discipline, allegiance, and tribute are the price paid by the humble lower and middle classes to the upper.

Everyone dies one day.As long as you stick to the other side of life and echo the life on the other side, then people need to satisfy their spiritual desires.Normal people don't want to die, so normal people can't ignore the study of life and death. All normal people find these things mysterious and try to find possible answers from every source.Elite figures do not hesitate to teach the lower classes and to preach to them various fears based on mystical claims about death.Later, they got used to controlling people in this way.

In the past, almost no one would refuse to donate money to the church free of charge, and now there are still a large number of people who spontaneously donate to the church and charitable organizations, because charity is also a part of the spiritual nature of people.Desires are a blessing when they are properly gratified and controlled.Fill the stomach with food and let it work as a fully functioning organ and it will bring health to the whole body.To use sexuality as nature dictates is to do good, too.Greed, if its name were changed to "carefully turning savings into savings," would be a trait worth having too.So support for religion, support for charitable causes, the study of questions of life and death, is perfectly normal and admirable.

But the misuse of these desires and the attempts of treacherous men who are well versed in human desires and their value in controlling the weak-willed are to be blamed. How many people have been fooled by others for a while, and have ruined their loved ones? How many people originally had a clear mind, but were bewitched to hand over their wealth to others, and then send themselves to death? It is not our intention to comment on one way or another of life, but our sole purpose is to characterize the so-called spiritual charms.

The purpose of our study is to show the reader that when a person is left with a spiritual void by public or personal calamities, or when he is plagued by overly intense worries and fears, the inner goodness in him may be betrayed by others. Take it and use it.

As we just said, charity is part of the spiritual nature of people. We know that countless fund-raising organizations are chasing after people under the banner of charity, and this approach of fund-raising organizations is not advisable. Most pledgers donate because of concerns about their social reputation or standing in the company's shoes. It was also because of spiritual desires, but this time it was for the most just cause. Many organizations involved in charity use 50% to 80% of the charitable funds as their own salaries or other expenses.Even if more than half of your donations go to fundraising or processing, you can still feel as if your money is being spent in the proper way.The question arises, what kind of philanthropy motivates those people to donate money to these organizations?Especially those businessmen, they know very well that if they don't donate, they will be talked about by people everywhere, and it may affect their business.Every well-known businessman or academic person was among the donors, and their donations were recorded and even made public. Therefore, their charitable actions are more or less out of self-preservation needs, rather than their true spiritual desires.

Going back to the use of spiritual attraction to guide people's behavior, we found that there is another law that can help us better use this power. This rule is: The best kind of charity is that which gives people a lasting ability to help themselves, and does not leave them in a helpless situation.Give them money and time without compensation, so that they can gain real spiritual independence and let them help themselves.

Unattractive people cloud their minds.Under the shadow of this cloud, all positive thoughts stagnate and only thoughts and beliefs that come from other people's minds come into play. For these people, suspicion is their only safety net. This barrier has two sides: on the one hand, it makes it difficult for the deception to unfold; on the other hand, it makes people's minds hesitate in the maze of various things, turning people into mules who don't think about making progress .But attractiveness can quickly break up the fog and make life full of wisdom.

Lesson 9

The Nine Key Laws of Forming Mental Strength

The four desires we've described here are the enemies of attraction, and they're what people are born with, or rather, natural. Our task in this lesson is to wage a great struggle with those four desires, and then to keep the fruits of victory, to make sure that it is not taken away.

Just as everything has the possibility of beauty, and everything has the possibility of being transformed into inner attraction, these four human desires are no exception, it depends on whether we can use them and become their masters.Once we become masters of them, we are able to transform them into attraction like the alchemist with the Midas touch. On the contrary, when we are enslaved by these four desires, we lose all attraction, and everything we touch withers and turns to dust. So, first of all, we must take care of ourselves and become the masters of ourselves, the masters of these four human desires.

There is an old proverb that expresses a truth, that is: the man who can manage himself well is greater than the man who can manage a city well.We can generalize that a man who can manage himself is greater than the greatest king who ever lived. If you want to manage yourself well, you must defeat the two types of enemies, force back the four desires, overcome the acquired bad habits, and do a good job of internal unity and cooperation.

Below we briefly tell a story about countries and organizations.Every man and every thing has two enemies, one external and one internal, and so every nation is equally at risk from both.Napoleon, the greatest ruler ever possessed of spiritual attraction, at the height of his career put another law to good use.Whenever a successful war ended, he returned to France to divert attention.Usually at this time there will be riots and political intrigues in the country, and various hostile forces will start fighting. In order to appease all this, he brought before the people the danger of enemies abroad. This law works on the principle that the threat of an external enemy will go some way towards healing internal divisions.Internal hostile forces can often unite to accomplish a common cause, such as fighting foreign enemies. This plan continued to function until the end of Napoleon's reign.

The process we now describe begins with overcoming the external, or natural, enemies and then driving out the latent enemies that lurk there waiting to destroy our newly acquired capabilities.
