Summary
"Introduction to Psychoanalysis" is Freud's masterpiece and is considered the standard introductory textbook for psychoanalysis.Psychoanalysis is a method of treating mental illness and a technique for studying psychological functions. Later, it formed a psychological theory and became an important school of modern psychology. Both art and philosophy have had varying degrees of influence. This book is a three-part lecture manuscript of Freud's lectures on psychoanalysis theory at the University of Vienna in the two winters of 1915-1917, so the whole book is also divided into three parts: psychology of faults, general theory of dreams and mental illness. In the first two parts, he assumed that the listeners had no knowledge of psychoanalysis, so he started from the beginning. The third part discusses the deeper problem, that is, the psychoanalysis and treatment of neurosis.
