[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat bronchitis, pleurisy, intercostal neuralgia, etc.

19. Purple Palace (Zǐɡōnɡ)

[Name] The Purple Palace is the Forbidden Palace, the seat of the Emperor of Heaven in the past.The acupuncture point should be in the heart, and the heart is the official of the monarch, which means the residence of the mind and spirit, hence the name.

[Location] On the chest, on the current midline, level with the third intercostal space.

【Indications】Cough, asthma, chest pain.

20. Huáɡài

[Naming] The lung is the canopy of the five internal organs. This point is mainly used to treat lung diseases, hence the name.

[Location] On the chest, on the current midline, level with the third intercostal space.

21. Xuanji (Xuánjī)

[Naming] Xuanji is the star of the sky, living in the middle, surrounded by thousands of stars.

The lungs are like the sky of the five internal organs, and the cave lives in the middle of them, which can release the lung energy, hence the name.

[Location] On the chest, on the current midline, 1 cun below the center of the suprasternal fossa.

[Indications] ① Cough, asthma, chest pain; ② Throat swelling and pain.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Pricking 0.3-0.5 cun flat; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat bronchial asthma, bronchitis, pharyngitis, pleurisy, etc.

22. Tiantu* (Tiāntū)

[Naming] The Tianzhi is located high, the Tuzhi is protruding, and it also refers to the pharynx chimney. This point can benefit the lung qi, so it is named Tiantu. "Sudden" has the meaning of rushing and rushing. This cave is located at the upper part of the chest cavity. It has the effect of dispelling stagnation and dissipating stagnation, and promoting Qi movement.

[Positioning] Leaning on the seat.In the neck, on the current midline, the suprasternal fossa is centered.

【Indications】①Cough, wheezing, chest pain;

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] First puncture 0.2-0.3 cun straight, then after the needle tip exceeds the inner edge of the manubrium sternum, slowly penetrate 0.5-1 cun downward along the rear edge of the sternum manubrium and the front edge of the trachea. Acupuncture must be strictly controlled. Angle and depth, in case of stabbing the lungs and related arteries and veins; moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat bronchial asthma, bronchitis, pharyngitis, goiter, esophagitis, hysteria, etc.

23. Lianquan* (Liánquán)

[Name] "Lian" refers to tongue or angular objects; "Spring" refers to water.This acupoint is located on the ridge-like knotted throat, inside it is under the tongue, and it is mainly used for tongue diseases, hence the name.

[Positioning] Leaning on the seat.In the neck, on the current midline, above the throat, in the depression on the upper edge of the hyoid bone.

【Indications】Stroke aphasia, violent silence, dysphagia, sublingual swelling and pain, slow tongue salivation, sore throat.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] Needle tip obliquely punctures 0.5-0.8 cun toward the root of the tongue, generally without leaving the needle; it can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat stomatitis, glossitis, bulbar palsy, aphasia, etc.

24. Chengjiang* (Chénɡjiānɡ)

[Name] Cheng, refers to acceptance; pulp, refers to saliva.The acupoint is a depression in the middle of the lower lip, which can hold saliva, hence the name.

[Positioning] Leaning on the seat, on the face, in the central depression of the chin-labial groove.

[Indications] ① Mouth, gingival swelling and pain, salivation, sudden silence; ② Epilepsy.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] obliquely needling 0.3-0.5 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat facial paralysis, gingivitis, stomatitis, glossitis, hysterical aphasia, epilepsy, etc.

([-]) Meridian circulation

1. The route on the body surface starts from the Changqiang point under the tip of the coccyx, follows the center of the waist, back, neck, and top of the head, goes down the forehead to the nasal column, passes through the renzhong groove, and ends at the gingiva where the upper lip frenulum meets the gums cross point.

2. Contact the viscera and organs with the genitals, spinal cord, brain, and nose.

3. Circular distribution characteristics
(1) Distributed in the middle of the waist and back, up to the head and face.All yang meridians come together and have the function of controlling the yang meridians of the whole body, so it is called "the sea of ​​yang meridians".The reason why the Du Meridian is able to govern the yang meridians is because the head of this meridian belongs to the brain, the head is the meeting place of all yang, and it is merged in the spine. The Yang dimension intersects and connects with the Zhuyang meridians, so it can control the Zhuyang meridians.It has the effect of regulating the yang meridians of the whole body.

2. Lesions in the parts where the meridians pass: such as nosebleeds, rhinitis, strong pain in the nape, opisthotonos, hemorrhoids, prolapse of the anus, uterine prolapse, etc.

3. Others: Suffering from colds, malaria, muteness, sequelae of cerebrovascular accidents.

There are 29 points in total.

1. Changqiang* (Chánɡqiánɡ) collateral point

[Name] The collaterals of the Governor Vessel, Jiaji, Shangxiang, and Santou, have long distribution routes and strong effects, so they are named Changqiang.The Governor Vessel is the "Sea of ​​Yang Vessels", and this point is the beginning point of the Governor Vessel, which is the beginning of pure Yang, and its Qi is particularly strong, hence the name.

[Location] Under the end of the coccyx, at the midpoint of the line connecting the end of the coccyx to the anus.

[Indications] ① Diarrhea, dysentery, constipation, blood in the stool, hemorrhoids, prolapse of the anus; ② Infantile malnutrition; ③ Mania and epilepsy;

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] The needle tip should be stabbed obliquely 0.8 to 1 inch upwards close to the front of the coccyx, and should not be pierced straight, so as not to pierce the rectum and cause infection.It can be moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat hemorrhoids, epilepsy, hysteria, etc.

2. Yaoyu (Yāoyú)

[Naming] "Yellow Emperor's Canon of Internal Medicine Su Wen" "The solution of lumbar sacrum...is the lumbar yu." The lumbar sacrum refers to the sacrum, and the solution refers to the hole in the sacral canal. The acupuncture points can generally be called "Shu", hence the name.

[Location] On the sacrum, on the posterior midline, right at the sacral hiatus.

[Indications] ①Hemorrhoids, blood in the stool, prolapse of the anus; ②Irregular menstruation;

[Acupuncture and moxibustion] Obliquely puncture upwards 0.5-1 cun, if necessary, penetrate to a certain depth in the sacral hiatus; moxibustion is available.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat lumbosacral lesions, hemorrhoids, epilepsy, etc.

3. Yaoyang Pass* (Yāoyánɡɡuān)

[Naming] This acupoint is located in the two vertebrae below the gate of life. It is the pass that the human body's true fire and yang energy must pass through to reach the gate of life, so it is named Yangguan; because it is located at the waist, it is named.

[Positioning] Prone position.In the waist, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the fourth lumbar vertebra, about level with the iliac crest.

[Indications] ①lumbosacral pain, impotence of lower limbs; ②nocturnal emission, impotence;

③ Irregular menstruation, vaginal discharge.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Obliquely puncture upward 0.5-1 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat lumbosacral lesions, sciatica, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc.

4. Gate of Life* (Mìnɡmén)

[Naming] This acupoint is located between the two kidneys, which is an important gateway for the vitality of human life, and because the kidney governs the foundation of the whole body, it is named.

[Location] At the waist, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra.

[Indications] ①Asthenic lumbago, enuresis, frequent urination; ②Spermia, impotence, sperm cold infertility; ③Irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, vaginal discharge, infertility; ④Diarrhea.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Obliquely puncture upward 0.5-1 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is often used in modern times to treat sexual dysfunction, prostatitis, irregular menstruation, chronic enteritis, and waist diseases.

5. Xuanshu (Xuánshū)

[Name] "Xuan" refers to the suspension system; "hub" refers to the cardinal.On both sides of this point are Sanjiao Yu, and the Sanjiao is the hub of Qi movement and transformation, hence the name.

[Location] At the waist, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra.

[Indications] ① abdominal pain, diarrhea; ② strong pain in the waist and spine.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Obliquely puncture upward 0.5-1 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in the treatment of intestinal spasm and enteritis in modern times.

6. In the spine (Jǐzhōnɡ)

[Name] There are 21 vertebrae in total in the spine, and this point is under the eleven vertebrae, which is suitable for the middle of the spine, hence the name.

[Location] On the back, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the 11th thoracic vertebra.

[Indications] ① diarrhea, hemorrhoids; ② jaundice; ③ epilepsy; ④ strong pain in the waist and spine.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Obliquely puncture upward 0.5-1 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat gastrointestinal spasm, gastritis, enteritis, etc.

7. Center (Zhōnɡshū)

[Naming] "Zhong" refers to the middle and the middle; "shu" means cardinal and turning.The point is in the middle of the spine, which is the hub of body rotation, so it is called the center.

[Location] On the back, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the 10th thoracic vertebra.

[Indications] ① Jaundice, vomiting, abdominal fullness; ② Strong pain in the waist and spine.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat gastrointestinal spasms, gastritis, hepatitis, etc.

8. Tendon contraction (Jīnsuō)

【Name】The two sides of the acupoint are Ganshu, and the liver governs tendons.

[Location] On the back, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the 9th thoracic vertebra.

【Indications】①Stomach pain, jaundice;
③ Mania and epilepsy.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Obliquely puncture upward 0.5-1 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat stomach cramps, gastritis, epilepsy, etc.

9. Zhiyang* (Zhìyánɡ)

[Naming] The upper spine is "Yang in Yang", the acupoints belong to the Governor Vessel, and under the seven vertebrae, "seven" is the number of yang, hence the name.

[Location] On the back, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the 7th thoracic vertebra.

[Indications] ① Jaundice, chest and hypochondrium pain; ② Cough, asthma; ③ Rigid back pain. ④ Malaria.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Obliquely puncture upward 0.5-1 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat stomach cramps, biliary colic, cholecystitis, diaphragm spasm, intercostal neuralgia, etc.

10. Lingtai (Línɡtái)

[Naming] "Ling" refers to the soul; "Taiwan" refers to a high place.The point is on the upper part of the back, close to the heart, hence the name.

[Location] On the back, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the 6th thoracic vertebra.

【Indications】①Cough, asthma; ②Spine strong back pain; ③Furuncle.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Obliquely puncture upward 0.5-1 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in the treatment of bronchitis and pneumonia in modern times.

11. Shinto (Shéndào)

[Naming] "Shen" refers to the mind and spirit, and there are Xinyu on both sides of the acupoint; its function is related to the heart, hence the name.

[Location] On the back, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the 5th thoracic vertebra.

【Indications】①Palpitations, palpitations, heartache, insomnia, forgetfulness; ②Cough, strong back pain; ③Elepsy.

[Application] It is commonly used in the treatment of cardiac neurosis and neurasthenia in modern times.

12. Body column (Shēnzhù)

[Naming] The support is a pillar, the point is in the middle of the two Feishu, it is suitable for the center of the two shoulder blades, and it is the support pillar for the load of the shoulder blades, hence the name.

[Location] On the back, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the 3th thoracic vertebra.

[Indications] ① Cough, asthma; ② Back pain; ③ Epilepsy; ④ Furuncle.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat bronchitis, bronchial asthma, pneumonia, epilepsy, etc.

13. Táodào

[Naming] "Tao" refers to the pottery stove (kiln), which means the passage of Yang Qi like a pottery stove, hence the name.

[Location] On the back, on the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the 1th thoracic vertebra.

[Indications] ① Fever, malaria; ② Cough, asthma; ③ Rigid pain.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Obliquely puncture upward 0.5-1 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat colds, malaria, cervical spondylosis, etc.

14. Dazhui* (Dàzhuī)

[Name] This point is located above the first thoracic vertebra and below the seventh cervical vertebra.The seventh cervical vertebra is the tallest among the vertebrae, commonly known as the first large vertebra, and the acupuncture point is under it, hence the name.

[Location] On the posterior midline, in the depression under the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra.

[Indications] ① fever, malaria; ② cough, asthma, bone steaming hot flashes; ③ strong pain in the head and neck; ④ mania and epilepsy, convulsions in children; ⑤ rubella.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Obliquely puncture upward 0.5-1 cun; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat colds, malaria, cervical spondylosis, acne, and children's chorea.

15. Dumb door* (Yǎmén)

[Naming] This acupoint is mainly used for the treatment of the dumb and unable to speak, and it is the key door to cure the dumb, hence the name.

[Location] On the nape, 0.5 cun straight above the center of the posterior hairline, below the first cervical vertebra.

[Indications] ① violent silence, slow tongue; ② headache, severe neck pain;

③ Mania and epilepsy.

[Acupuncture and Moxibustion] Sit upright at the desk, tilt the head slightly forward, relax the nuchal muscles, and slowly pierce 0.5-1 inch toward the jaw.The depth and angle of acupuncture should be strictly controlled, and the needle tip should not be pierced deeply forward and upward, so as not to penetrate the foramen magnum and accidentally injure the medulla oblongata; moxibustion is not required.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat language impairment, aphasia, cerebrovascular disease, bulbar palsy, epilepsy, schizophrenia, etc.

16. Fengfu* (Fēnɡfǔ)

[Name] "Feng" refers to wind evil; "Fu" refers to the place of gathering.It means that the acupoint is the part where wind evil invades, and it is mainly used to treat all wind syndromes, hence the name.

[Location] On the nape, 1 cun straight above the middle of the posterior hairline, directly below the external occipital inion, in the depression between the trapezius muscles on both sides.

[Indications] ① stroke, epilepsy; ② headache, neck pain, dizziness; ③ eye pain, epistaxis, sore throat.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Lie on your stomach or sit upright at your desk, tilt your head slightly forward, relax your nuchal muscles, and slowly penetrate 0.5 to 1 inch toward the jaw.The depth and angle of acupuncture should be strictly controlled, and the needle tip should not be pierced deeply forward and upward, so as not to penetrate the foramen magnum and accidentally injure the medulla oblongata; moxibustion is not required.

17. Naohu (Nǎohù)

[Name] The portal of the brain refers to the foramen magnum, the point is located above the foramen magnum, where the brain Qi enters and exits, hence the name.

[Location] On the head, 2.5 inches straight above the center of the posterior hairline, in the depression on the upper edge of the external occipital protuberance.

[Indications] ①Headache, dizziness, neck stiffness; ②Epilepsy.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Pricking 0.5-0.8 cun flat; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is often used in the treatment of optic atrophy and cerebellar diseases in modern times.

18. Qiangjian (Qiánɡjiān)

[Naming] "Qiang" means strong and urgent; "jian" means gap or place.This point is mainly used to treat strong pain in the head and neck, hence the name.

[Location] On the head, 4 inches straight above the middle of the hairline at the back.

[Indications] ①Headache, dizziness, and stiff neck; ②Madness.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Pricking 0.5-0.8 cun flat; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat vascular (nervous) headache, epilepsy, hysteria, schizophrenia, etc.

19. Back top (Hòudǐnɡ)

[Name] The point is on the "top" of the head, with Baihui as the center and behind it, hence the name.

[Location] On the head, 5.5 inches straight above the middle of the hairline at the back.

[Indications] ①headache, dizziness; ②mania and epilepsy.

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Pricking 0.5-0.8 cun flat; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat vascular (nervous) headache, epilepsy, schizophrenia, etc.

20. Baihui* (Bǎihuì)

[Naming] "Hundred" refers to many; "hui" refers to gatherings.It means the gathering of all veins, the head is the meeting of all yangs, the cave dwells in the middle of the top, and it is the place of three yangs and five meetings, hence the name.

[Location] On the head, 7 inches straight above the center of the posterior hairline.Simple acupoint selection method: at the intersection of the line connecting the two ear tips and the midline of the head.

[Indications] ①stroke aphasia, fainting, insomnia, mania and epilepsy; ②headache, dizziness, tinnitus;

[Acupuncture and moxibustion method] Pricking 0.5-0.8 cun flat; can be used for moxibustion.

[Application] It is commonly used in modern times to treat hypertension, Meniere's syndrome, senile dementia, cerebrovascular disease, epilepsy, schizophrenia, vascular (nervous) headache, neurasthenia, visceral ptosis, etc.
