A magical journey that begins in Azkaban

Chapter 181 Dobby’s Memories

Roger smacked his lips, realizing that the headmaster was not yet willing to announce that Harry knew Parseltongue at this time. Perhaps it is to prevent some people from thinking of Voldemort or the Gaunt family.

He cleared his throat and continued: "According to Slytherin's last words, the basilisk will only attack wizards from Muggle families. Mr. Harry Potter, he is a half-blood wizard."

"Dobby, the basilisk will not harm him. After all, the wizard who opened the Chamber of Secrets fifty years ago was also a hybrid."

However, others immediately raised objections: "Excuse me, why didn't the Basilisk hurt Harry? Does it have a way to distinguish wizards?"

"Sir, of course the basilisk does not, but the wizard who summons and controls it does."

Dobby fell silent after hearing this. What he was really afraid of was not the basilisk: "But Dobby doesn't think so. When the diary returns to school, Mr. Harry Potter's life will be in danger."

"Oh?" Rogge raised his eyebrows and asked, "So you know the secret of the diary?"

"Otherwise, why do you think Mr. Savior is in a life-or-death crisis at Hogwarts under the management of Principal Dumbledore?"

"Dobby...Dobby..." the elf stammered, not daring to continue talking in depth.

"Roger, you are not allowed to force Dobby like this!" Harry stood up and protected him.

"Mr. Harry, I am not forcing it, but asking for the truth." Rogge shook his head and patiently explained to Harry, "Since it has accused a wizard, it must tell the truth."

"Dobby, tell us loudly, do you know what is in the diary? Better than Lucius?" Rogge's eyes were deep, hiding an invisible killing move.

Hearing Rogge's questioning, Dobby felt uneasy. It thought of that person's name and figure, and shuddered all over.

"You must have overheard something and learned that the diary might be taken to Hogwarts. So you were eager to prevent Harry from returning to school, and that's what happened." Roger stared at it and said quietly. "Did you know that the diary is Voldemort's Horcrux? The first thing he did when he came back from resurrection was to kill Harry Potter?"

Dobby fell into deeper fear when he heard Rogge's words. It opened its mouth, but didn't know how to explain.

Hearing Rogge say the name of the mysterious person, the wizards in the square opened their mouths in surprise: "He, he actually called that person by his name? Did I hear that right?"

"How dare he?"

Many people looked at Rogge in shock. No one had ever called Voldemort by his name in public like him.

"That's not the point." The wizard next to him shook his head, wondering how he graduated from school.

"Ah? Why?"

"Didn't you hear him say the diary was a Horcrux?"

"Horcrux..."

"Yes! An evil black magic that splits the soul and then resurrects it."

"Doesn't that mean..." The witch was so frightened that her face turned pale and pale. She was shaking all over and did not dare to say anything further.

"The mysterious person can return to the magical world through the diary." The wizard said calmly and worriedly, staring at the diary on the podium unconsciously.

The wizards' voices became lower and lower, and everyone's expressions gradually became serious, because everyone understood the evil nature of the Horcruxes.

"Oh, Merlin! This must be a lie! I must be having a nightmare!"

The wizards became frightened, noisy and crowded, and the scene gradually became chaotic. Everyone was uneasy and frightened by the sudden appearance of Horcruxes and Voldemort's name. Everyone began to communicate and speculate, trying to understand the shocking information.

Lucius breathed a sigh of relief, he was no longer the center of attention. His suspicion of trying to murder Harry was finally cleared, and he had every excuse to get out of it.

Sure enough, the best way to make up for a mistake is never to solve it, but to find a bigger mistake. This way, no one pays attention to small mistakes.

The Malfoy family looked at Rogge gratefully. Thanks to Rogge's intervention, otherwise they would have been doomed today. They then stared at Dobby with disgust and hatred. This damn house elf knew the secrets in the diary early and didn't even tell his master.

What's even more unacceptable is that it betrayed the Malfoy family!

Lucius took a deep breath. After the trial is over, he must take Dobby back. Kill it, cut off its head with a knife, and hang it on the wall! Dobby's betrayal had left Malfoy's majesty in ruins and his reputation humiliated today.

As for hiding dark magic items, he knew he would just have to accept some punishment and fine. At the worst possible cost, let the Auror search again at some cost.

Although this is embarrassing, it is a big blow to reputation and prestige. But compared to a public trial, this may be the most acceptable option to Lucius.

Dobby cowered in fear when he heard Voldemort's name. It recalled those ugly days when Lucius was a Death Eater.

Every time Voldemort visits Malfoy Manor, it brings a suffocating pressure. He tortured the house elves at the slightest displeasure.

Then one day, Dobby saw Voldemort handing the diary to Lucius: he was wearing a black robe and had a ghastly face. The snake-like eyes seem to be able to absorb the light of all life.

He came to Malfoy Manor secretly, and he was no longer surrounded by a large number of slave-like Death Eaters. He called Malfoy into the room alone, and neither of them noticed that Dobby was lying in the corner mopping the floor.

"Lucius." Voldemort's voice was like an icy wind, making Lucius feel his heart tremble, "I want to reward you today."

Lucius quickly fell to his knees, completely surrendering to Voldemort's will. He said tremblingly: "It is an honor to serve you, my master!"

Voldemort smiled slightly, satisfied with Lucius' obedience. He stretched out his pale hand and took out a diary from the cloak of his black robe.

"This diary," Voldemort whispered, "is a work of dark magic from my student days. It contains my memories. You can talk to him about it."

Lucius gingerly took the diary and held it carefully. He understood that this was not a reward but an order, so he asked in a low voice: "What shall I do with it, my lord?"

"Just keep it for yourself, don't let others know of its existence." Voldemort looked at Lucius's leaving figure and laughed secretly: "Hmph, I will have it when the diary takes over your heart. A second life.”

Voldemort touched his face, the part where there was no nose. He saw Dobby trembling beside him and cast a Cruciatus Curse.

"Dobby...Dobby..." Harry's reminder brought Dobby back to reality. Roger was describing a truth.

"It seems that you knew this very well, so when you learned that the diary was coming back to school, you were so scared that you ran to stop Harry."

"Oh, Dobby." Rogge shook his head with a look of regret. "Why didn't you even tell your master such an important thing? And you didn't tell anyone else either."

"Dobby can't say anything about his master."

"But you said it now."

"That's because the master wants to murder Harry. Although he is Dobby's master, Dobby is trying to protect Harry Potter..."

After everyone heard this, they couldn't help but fall into deep thought. Although Dobby is a house elf, he also has his own loyalty and moral values. It heard that Malfoy was plotting to kill Harry, and apparently felt no obligation to remain loyal to Lucius.

"Enemies?" Rogge laughed, "When can elves have their own will?"

"Roger!" Dumbledore shouted at him.

"Professor, please let me finish." Rogge looked at Dobby and asked, "According to the sacred contract, you will only regain your freedom when the wizard gives you clothes."

"Before this, you were slaves of wizards. The master's will is your creed. I sympathize with you for the torture you have suffered, but your betrayal of Malfoy..." Rogge looked at Harry, and then looked at Dorothy again. Compare.

"Your betrayal of Malfoy will cause all house elves to no longer be trusted. After today's trial, countless elves will die because of you."

Dobby raised his head tremblingly, looked at Harry, and walked out with his head lowered. Harry noticed something was wrong with Dobby and was about to say something when he saw an incredible scene.
