DONNY LI

 

While I was texting Chen, who was giving me advice on how to make Shani fall for me.

 

I didn’t notice her as I read Chen’s reply.

 

“Give her cheesy bread, Donny. She looks like the type who loves that kind of stuff,” Chen messaged.

 

I laughed inwardly, I lifted my eyes and realized Shani was about to tap my arm but she tripped over a wire. Without waiting, I quickly reacted trying to catch her but I couldn’t keep my balance and ended up falling on the hard floor with her lying on me. She looked so unreal and beautiful up close. I hadn’t even noticed my hands were resting on her chest. Her pretty brown eyes blinked at me before staring down at my hands that were keeping her up.

 

“You pervert! Unhand me you, idiot!” she shouted.

 

Quickly, I released her as she sat up on me. She was really heavy on top of me. I felt a strange enjoyable feeling, my body started to react to her. I felt like I wanted to have sex with her. I couldn’t take it anymore.

 

“It’s not my fault you fell,” I answered getting up as she got off me.

 

Everyone was watching us with a shock expression on their faces. I simply walked away. She was about to punch me in the back but Aya stopped her. They left the room without a word being spoken before she glared at me furiously.

 

‘It looks like she hates me,’ I thought, all of a sudden, Lau walked up to me.

 

“Donny Li, are you okay? Did Shani get hurt?” He asked sounding worried.

 

“Uh? Yeah, I’m fine, Lau. No, she’s alright but just angry with me right now,” I replied.

 

Lau nodded, “Don’t worry about it. She’ll get over it.”

 

“Maybe,” I answered, and then my phone vibrated. Chen sent another text.

 

“Donny, did it work? Ha, ha,” he asked.

 

“No, she’s mad at me now,” I sent with a sad emoji. Sei approached us.

 

“What did you do, Donny?” Chen questioned.

 

“I’ll tell you later, bro,” I typed and faced Sei who spoke.

 

“Something happened between you two. ZT and I saw your hands groping on her chest. How was it?” He smirked wiggling his eyebrows up.

 

Lau patted his head,” Can you be mature for once?”

 

“Ow…Nope,” Sei smirked rubbing his head as ZT giggled childishly.

 

“Sei, shut up!” I blushed.

 

I started remembering the scenario. Suddenly, the door opened revealing Shani and Aya who walked in chattering. As soon as she saw me, she gave me the cold shoulder and a death glare. ZT poked me in the arm.

 

“What, ZT?” I asked.

 

“Be careful, bro. She’s going to be doing your fitting. Watch out for pins and needles,” ZT warned.

 

Lau and Sei agreed with him as I nodded, “Yeah.”

 

 

SHANI

 

When I entered the room the sight of Donny Li’s face just made me sick. Somehow, glancing at the pins gave me a sense of enlightenment. He’ll be the last one doing his fitting. A little mischievous smirk crept on my lips as he stared my way. I poked my tongue at him while the other members chuckled at my immature behavior. I approached Elena. I found her separating the tools and materials aside from the designs. I decided to call ZT first for his fitting as the others watched. I began altering the outfit he wore making adjustments to clothes so it can fit his body, perfectly. Suddenly, he started giggling sillily.

 

“It tickles, Shani,” ZT said.

 

“Please stay still,” I instructed while gathering the fabric together and pinning it.

 

He saw how serious I was, and behaved. Next, I called Sei. His peach satin shirt with gray trousers matched well, the outfit didn’t really need any alteration cause it fitted him fine.

 

“Your outfits are awesome, Shani,” he complimented.

 

“Thank you, Sei,” I chuckled and then smiled.

 

Lau came up forth without even having me to call him. He wasn’t chatty like the rest. He seems quite reserved and super cautious.

 

“I’m next, right?” He asked with a timid grin and adorable dimples appeared in his cheeks.

 

‘He’s cute dimples are smiling at me. I want to poke it. Oh my gosh, what am I thinking?’ I thought as I blushed and stayed focus on the job. “Yes,” I answered and made a minor adjustment to his maroon suit and sleeves’ cuffs.

 

Out of the blue, I sensed someone watching me. I looked over and there was Donny Li soaking in jealousy.

 

“Why does he look so annoyed?” I mumbled.

 

Elena and Aya noticed it and teased in a sing-song, “Woah…it’s getting in hot here now take off all your clothes” and laughed.

 

Donny Li pulled himself together and then appeared in front of me. He didn’t say a single word. He looked handsome in the black tux and red shoes. ‘Ooh, Tuxedo Mask,’ I joked in thought hearing Sailor Moon’s theme song in my head. I ignored it trying to hold my laugh and snooped down at his thigh. I gathered the loose pants fabric and pinned it three inches apart from the crotch area going down. I could feel Donny Li tensed up.

 

“This is starting to feel a bit uncomfortable,” he muttered.

 

I looked up at him and answered, “Do you think I’m having fun down here?”

 

He blushed about to retort but my phone rang with INSANE’s Moonlight playing. Donny Li was surprised to hear that his solo single, also his favorite song happen to be my ringtone. He smirked at me as I rolled my eyes and answered Ruby, who sounded exhausted like she had just run an Olympic marathon.

 

“Yeah. What happened? Are you okay, Ruby?” I asked.

 

I caught Sei’s attention by mentioning Ruby. He seemed curious.

 

I listened to her explained that she won’t be able to make it back here. However, she’s planned a V.I.P party at some club called Neon Lights with a couple of college classmates and would like us and the guys to come since we are guests on her V.I.P list. ‘Why does she wants them to join? Sei, obviously. That explains it,’ I thought and agreed. Besides, it would be great to let loose and forget about work for a while.

 

“I’ll have to ask the guys, first. What time are we leaving?” I responded.

 

“8:30 PM. Anyways, I have an errand to run I’ll see you, girls, at the hotel, bye,” she said.

 

“Bye,” I nodded ending the call.

 

“Was that Ruby?” Sei asked. “Is she okay?” He sounded worried.

 

‘Damn, boy! You really like Ruby, don’t you?’ I teased.

 

He blushed and lied, “It’s not what you think, okay.”

 

I laughed and smiled, “Sei nothing happen to her. She just invited you guys to party with us at Neon Lights as V.I.Ps. Are you up for it?”

 

“Yeah, I’m in. What time?” Sei answered.

 

“Around 8:30,” I confirmed.

 

“We’ll be there! Woah….party time!” ZT blurted out since he was eavesdropping on our conversation.

 

Lau shook his head and intervened, “That would be nice but we have practice, guys.”

 

“Considering Mr. Chang’s words: all practices are over, boys. That means you guys are free to hang out with us,” Aya pointed out.

 

Lau thought, ‘She can be straightforward too? I think I’m attracted to Aya’s sassiness.’ He smirked eyeing from head to toe, definitely satisfied to claim his territory.

 

“So what are we waiting for? Let’s get out of here,” Sei suggested.

 

“Yeah, party baby!” ZT added smiling.

 

“Okay,” I answered and realized Donny Li didn’t even bother with us seems busy texting again. ‘Who the heck is he texting?’ I thought curiously.

 

 

DONNY LI

 

Started texting Xiu Ming about what I should do since we’re going to Neon Lights Club.

 

“Donny Li, you should go and have fun, bro. But don’t drink any alcohol warn ZT and the others for me”, he replied with a serious emoji.

 

“Okay, Xiu Ming. I’ll bring back some sodas for you and the guys,” I texted with a smiley emoji.

 

“That’s our baby deer! Thanks, bro,” Xiu Ming teased.

 

I laughed before pocketing my phone in my coat’s pocket. ‘Why do I feel so worried about this? If the press catches us partying at some bar it would ruin our reputation. If anything happens she’ll have to be responsible for this. Xiu Ming already warned me about drinking. I guess I’ll be the only sober to drink us home,’ I thought while looking at Lau, Sei and ZT came towards me.

 

“Donny, you okay?”Sei asked sounding concern.

 

“Uh, yeah. I was texting Xiu Ming about this. He advised us not to drink before something crazy happens,” I replied.

 

“If we did drink our heads would be spinning like a globe and we’ll suffer from a hangover tomorrow before the show starts,” ZT added.

 

“I know that’s why we’re not going to consume any beers,” I said.

 

“Could we stop by the convenience store afterward? We’ll have a hotpot tonight,” ZT said; apparently, he was INSANE’s chef.

 

“Sure,” I answered.

 

“I’ll buy the sodas!” Lau chirped cheerfully.

 

‘Less expense for me,’ I thought happily, smirking.

 

“Plus Sei will get to see Ruby in her sexy dress,” ZT teased giggling.

 

I caught Sei blushing shyly as he frowned, “Shut up, ZT!”

 

I turned my head and saw Shani walking up to us. ‘Here comes, Miss Attitude,’ I thought, immediately, I felt annoyed.

 

SHANI

 

I spotted Donny Li glaring at me as I head their way. ‘What’s his problem?’ I thought rolling my eyes ignoring the brute and interrupted the guys’ conversation.

 

“Guys!” I called out.

 

Sei, Lau, and ZT answered, “Yeah, Shani.”

 

“Meet us at Rose’s Hotel at 8:30 PM. The girls and I live there,” I informed.

 

“Oh okay,” Lau and ZT said.

 

“We’ll meet you there,” Sei added.

 

Donny Li didn’t even bother to face me. I felt so irritated and frustrated by him.

 

“Hey! Are you listening to me?” I asked poking his nose.

 

He scoffed, “Do I need to?” raising his eyebrow at me.

 

My mouth parted in anger, Aya and Elena whispered, “Stay calm, Shani….”

 

For the first time, Lau, Sei, ZT, and Donny Li saw the climax of my rage in my eyes burning like fire and brimstone falling from heaven.

 

“Yes, you do, didn’t your mother teach any manners, you idiot!” I yelled.

 

Donny Li finally looks at me laughing.

 

“Seriously, why don’t you admit it, Shani? That you’re interested in me,” he said cockily.

 

I boiled with flaming anger and grabbed his collar, “You think I like you?”

 

I rolled my eyes and thought, ‘This guy is mad to believe that.’

 

“Why are you always looking at me in the first place, Shani? I know you want my attention. Every girl wants it, so don’t deny it, babe,” Donny Li smirked.

 

I wanted to kick him in the groin so badly but I retorted, “You little, shit! I won’t waste my time on someone like you. Don’t trick your mind into believing every girl you see is your fangirl because I’m not, Donny Li.”

 

I glared at him seriously, a gap between our faces as tensions builds up spikes and thorns. “Stupid,” I insulted and pushed him away.

 

“Stupid?” Donny Li repeated with a chuckle in disbelief, apparently, I’m the first woman to put him in his place.

 

“Who you think you are? Wonder Woman?” He joked.

 

Elena pulled me back and whispered in my ear, “Leave this situation to me. Take a break and cool down, Shani.”

 

“Okay,” I answered and I stared at Donny Li before I turned my back and exit the room.

 

“I hate that guy! Stupid, Donny Li,” I sucked my teeth and I decided to go back home.

 

I stayed in the building I’ll lit it on fire because of Donny Li.

 

Inside the sewing room, Donny Li recapping the scene.

 

“Why is she like that? I was just teasing her,” he muttered.

 

“Donny Li, Gēgē. Shani, isn’t the woman who’s interested in love. She’s not a bad person either. I’ve watched her spent her entire life working different jobs just to build her fashion company. Even though, she longs for a relationship Shani too focus on what she enjoys doing. Still, I think she’s scare to fall in love,” Aya explained.

 

“I believe you, Aya,’ ZT thought realizing Aya was telling the truth. “I think Shani and Donny Li suit each other,” he blurted out.

 

“I agreed, ZT,” Sei said.

 

“They might have the same things in common,” Lau teased.

 

“Don’t talk nonsense!” Donny Li hollered and stormed off leaving the room.

 

Lau went after him to try and find out what’s really going on in his mind. While Elena, Aya, Sei, and ZT packed up everything before they exited the room and went their separate ways.
