Leaving Mel's dorm, I take the long route to my residence. This is when a putrid scent enters my nose. It's so eerily familiar. It brings me back to my past life, where I encountered something similar. Although I can't pin point exactly what it was.

I follow its trail and it leads me towards a barren hall. The disgusting scent from earlier is now mixed with the thick metallic smell of blood.

The aura here is different. It is sinister, I can sense a strong feeling of hate and bloodlust. The deeper I go the stronger it gets. The lights, even though they are bright, dim the further I go down the hall. I stop when I step in something gooey and wet. It makes an uncomfortable squishing noise. Luckily, because of my high cultivation level, my eyesight is not affected. Looking down, it finally dawns on me what it is that coated my shoe. Muscle, from the leg. It looks as though an animal had ripped it apart from the ridged marks around the edges of it.

"What the he-" Then out of the corner of my peripheral vision I see an unconscious person lay in an upright position against the wall. Their leg is missing and wounds cover their body. It looks like they got into a fight. From my senses I don't sense any other person hidden in the vicinity, either they're gone or they are expects in the art of hiding one's presence. I go up to the body and I can not make out the person's features because of the bruises and deep gashes on their face. Thankfully they are still alive, bȧrėly.

I pick them up in my arms and rush to the infirmary. I call on the shadows of darkness and revolve them around my legs. It is as though I'm walking on air when in reality I am only riding on shadows. The person's heartbeat drums slower and slower every minute. I hurriedly dig into my pocket and stuff a blood replenishing pill inside of their mouth. From the type of uniform they are wearing, I know it's a female. I turn through so many corners it all becomes a blur, my mind only focused on getting this person to help. I finally arrive at the infirmary and I burst through the door not even bothering to knock.

"Hey you have to knock!" The person in charge of the infirmary yells. Her name is Yui Nakamura. She is a 3 star alchemist and one of the pride and joys of the the school. Her arrogance knows no bounds and she already has a few enemies on her trail.

"This person needs help, hurry or else they might die." I shove the girl into her arms. She stumbles back from the sudden weight added to her but her expression soon turns serious once the smell of blood fills the entire room.

I was so focused on the injured girl that I didn't take notice of the other people in the room. Elizabeth, Prince Maximus, and princess of the third rank Akiko. Both girls are in gowns provided by the infirmary. However Maximus has all of his attention on Elizabeth while Akiko is left alone on the other side of the room in a corner where there is bȧrėly any lighting. Her expression is furious and her ruby eyes glow a fiery red. Akiko's nails hold onto the sheets tightly. She senses my gaze on her quickly replacing her expression from before. Her eyes turn to one of subservience and innocence and she smiles at me, unknown to her I saw everything.

I keep my expression stoic not mentioning anything. It is none of my business how the fool Maximus screws up his life. Though I should speak to my parents about what I've seen and ask them to say a word or two to his parents so he doesn't fuċk up the kingdom. He isn't a good judge of character and that is bad trait to carry on as a ruler.

Behind a door adjacent to the infirmary I can hear sounds of glass breaking, mumbling of words and screams every now and then. Seems like I left the girl in good hands. Before I leave I take one last look at the girl that constantly tries to make my beloved's life miserable. Then I shake my head and leave.

Ora's POV from before Sebastian came to save her................

I have no idea what this thing is. It is like every wound I inflict on it makes it happier.

The blood coming from its body does not seem to affect it in the slightest.

I can feel my strength depleting. I do not know why I'm so tired. This thing doesn't seem to have any special move or powers. Just raw strength and speed. Its eerie green eyes unnerve me, they have no iris or pupil. The sclera which is suppose to be white is tinted a deep forest green. The bloodlust all around me is so thick I can't breathe, it's choking me.

It slams me into a wall again for the fifth time and I see stars. I try to get up but the thing steps on my leg so hard I hear a snap. Then it bends down. I can't see it's face but both of its claws are on the ground. It ċȧrėsses my leg up and down, goosebumps appearing in its wake. I'm so scared I want to scream, I open my mouth but nothing comes out. Tears stream down my face in a flood and there is nothing I can do but whimper. I feel so weak.

Am I gonna die?

"Please, let me go. I didn't do anything."

I'm in so much pain. I can't fight anymore. I'm too tired. I just want to live.

"Stop! Stop! Make It Stop!"

I try to push it away but my attempts are feeble. I can not move. Something has me paralyzed and dread begins to creep into my heart. Like a viper it slithers around my lungs sinking its canines into my lungs filling it with a paralyzing venom that makes it hard for me to breathe.

I feel lightheaded.

It all goes away when its claws sink into my thɨġhs and rip my leg out from my body. I only remember screaming before passing out.

I know I know it has been a long time since I last updated. This time it was because I had exams I know I'm unreliable when it comes to updating it's just that I started this story out as a hobby, a past time because it was fun and stuff. My life is really really busy and I always have something popping up sorry!!! But I promise I won't stop updating until I am done with this story.
