Flower on the ash

I felt pudding on my lips. I stick out my tongue to taste it but it started to suck my tongue. I quickly opened my eyes and a handsome face appeared in front of my eyes, kissing me.

" Alex!!" I screamed breaking the kiss, fully embarrassed.

" You up?" he said.

I slept while watching the television and Alex woke me up in such an embarrassing way. I could feel my ears and cheeks burning.

" You could have woken me up by calling my name also. Why did you do that?" I said and stood up from the couch?

" You were looking so cute while sleeping that I couldn't resist myself. And by the way, I just thought to peck you. You were the one who stuck out the tongue." he said in a casual tone as this was the most normal thing to do. I reddened even more at his words.

" Why were you sleeping on the couch?" Alex asked me.

" I was waiting for you. Aunt Zhao had to take a leave as her daughter is sick." I notified him. He nodded his head in acknowledgment.

" You should have eaten early." Alex said to me.

" Come on. If you were going to be late, you should have informed me earlier." I said to him.

" I will from now on. Let's eat dinner." he said and walked towards the dining room. I followed him.

" Come sit. I'll bring the food." Alex said while pulling the chair for me.

" No. You sit. I'll bring the food." I said back. Alex walked up to me and put his hands on my shoulder from behind.

" You are very stubborn." he said and nudged me towards the chair. I sat on it and Alex went to the kitchen to fetch food for us.

We both ate our dinner and Alex told me about some topics regarding the company. I also told him how my day went.

" I called Penelope. She said she will take a leave for tomorrow and will give me company." I told Alex.

" Oh. Ok." he said.

Alex washed the dishes after dinner. I proposed that I could wash the dishes but he declined with a straight 'no'. We both went to our room afterward and sat on the bed.

" I'll change my outfit first. " Alex said and opened his cupboard when I heard a clinking sound.

" Alex." I said to get his attention. Alex hummed, still his eyes in the cupboard.

" Are you also a policeman?" I asked him. He turned towards me with a quizzical expression.

" No. Why did you ask?" he asked.

" I saw ropes and handcuffs in your cupboard." I said remembering the time when I was finding his T-shirt to wear when my gaze fell on those things. He laughed out loudly at my words.

" I'll tell you about those things when the right time comes." he said smirking. God knows what's going inside his head.

Alex went to change his clothes when my phone started to ring. I looked at the ID. It was Nanny's call. I quickly picked it up.

" Hello Nanny!" I said on the phone cheerfully.

" Hello. How are you doing? " she said.

" I'm also fine. Your husband told me what happened between you and master." she said.

" Yeah." I said releasing a deep sigh.

" Don't worry. I'm with you. If you want to come to me, you know where you had to come. Right?" she said cheering me up.

" Yes." I said smiling.

" Mish was crying all the way here saying that I didn't let him see you before coming." she said with a chuckle.

" I'm also sorry for not saying him goodbye. But ask him not to worry. I will come to see him soon." I said.

" Yeah. Ok bye then. Call me if you need me." Nanny said.

" Hm. Bye." I said and ended the call.

As I put my phone aside, I heard the bathroom door open. Alex stepped out with only a towel wrapped around his lower part. My nose bled at the sight of him. Towel draped loosely around his waist, showing his perfectly built muscles. Water falling from his hair and the intoxicating smell of his freshly washed body.

" Stared enough?" Alex's voice ringed in my ears. I quickly came out of my thoughts.

" I wasn't staring at you. Nor do you have a body to be stared at." I said a complete lie.

" Oh. Really?" he said with a smirk and started to walk towards me.

" O-Of c-course." I stammered. He held one of my hands in his and brought it up to his abdomen.

" What about now?" he asked. I could feel his hard muscle underneath my palm. My heart was beating wildly and my breath was uneven.

" I-I'm going to take a bath. " I said. I gently pushed him and ran towards the bathroom, locking the door as I went inside.
