Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 318 - Burning Eternally In Hell

When Edwin called out Celestia's name, she didn't even turn to him. Her eyes were fixed on Theo's lifeless body. Her clothes and hands were drenched and dried up with his blood. Edwin tried hard to suppress his tears when he called her out for the second time. "Celestia, please listen to me. I miss you so much. I miss hanging out with you and I miss seeing your smile—"

"Smile?!" Celestia said and she finally glanced at Theo. "How can I smile when my love is dead?!"

"I can feel you, Celestia. I understand how it feels to lose your love. And right now my heart is breaking to see you in this misery." Edwin then clasped his hands together and said, "Can you please give me salvation from this heartbreak, Celestia?! I love you so much and I can't see you like this—"

Celestia got annoyed by his words. She gave him a deadly glare and said in a harsh tone, "Don't ever claim that you love me! Because no one can ever love as Theo did! And I don't need anyone else other than him to love me. So why don't you just leave me alone?!"

Edwin expected this reply from her. And that was why he refused to come here and speak with her. Now his hurt got even worse than before. With a heavy heart, he opened a portal and left the spot.

...…..

Darius very much expected Edwin to succeed in the quest. But when Edwin came back to the garden with a miserable face, he understood that he failed. "Fine! Now it is my turn," Darius said and portaled to the barren land. He was Celestia's mentor after all. She might listen to him!

But Celestia ignored him too. And she didn't even bother to give him a reply when he told her to let the shield down. Darius got infuriated by her actions. Then instead of consoling her, he started to yell at her.

"Celestia, you are really being selfish now! You are not only just starving yourself to death. You are also breaking thousands of people's hearts. Just tell me who will protect them once you are gone?!"

"I failed to protect the one person I loved the most! How can I protect thousands of people?!" Celestia shook her head. "I can't protect anyone—and I request the people to stop relying on me—"

At that moment, Darius realized that no one can convince Celestia. The only person who can convince her is now lying lifeless on the ground. And it is not possible for a dead man to wake up and convince her! So it left him with the only option. He should find a way to break this shield and forcefully separate Celestia from Theo's corpse.

...…

Darius and the rest of the acquaintances of Celestia reached the Shadow realm to meet the Demon princess Lilin. Since Lilin was an Anti-Angel, she must be strong enough to break the shield created by Celestia. But when they stepped into the Shadowland, they were shocked. The land was devoid of any living being.

"Where did everyone go?!" Laris asked in a scared tone to his gang. The rest of the gang too were confused like Laris. How could the people from land just disappear?!

"I know where they are right now," Edwin said and surprised everyone even more. "The Shadowlands must be in a war with the Serpents. So I think every one must be in the Serpent land—"

"And do you know that for sure?" Darius raised one eyebrow. He even doubted if Edwin was a double agent. Or else how could he know the happenings of the Shadowland?!

But when Edwin explained to them about the time when he was forcefully taken to the Serpent land by Oberon and the Serpent girl Lyra, Darius cursed himself for doubting Edwin. He was the most loyal man in his gang. He never should have doubted him!

"So the Demon Queen is on a war with Serpents as they betrayed her and aided Oberon?!" Darius asked again to confirm the fact to which Edwin nodded.

"Fine! Then we all should go to the Serpent land and meet Lilin," Darius announced. Deep down he knew the risks of going to the war field just to speak with the Demon princess Lilin—but what other choice did they have other than that to save their Dawn?!

...…

The Serpents of the venom land didn't expect the sudden attack of the Shadow landers. They were ambushed and outnumbered by the Shadow forces. Most of the Serpent warriors had lost their lives in the war. The castle of Venom was surrounded by the warriors and right now the Demon Queen was in a deadly battle with the King of Serpents himself.

The Serpent King was skilled enough to defeat anyone—but he was no match for the fierceness of the Queen of Darkness. He knew that this was his final battle, yet he decided to do his best. While dodging the attacks of the Demon Queen, he regretted the stupid decisions he made in the past that resulted in his destruction. He trusted Oberon so much. He thought that he would win the war for sure and supported him blindly. And now he was facing the consequences of his actions.

Eventually, the Serpent King got knocked out to the ground right next to his throne. The Demon Queen glared at him fiercely with her deadly red eyes that showed him the preview of the hellish fire that waited for him once he died. He really didn't want to suffer in hell! "Please spare me, My Queen! I will never ever betray you again—"

"I never forgive the people who betray me," she shouted furiously and set his whole body on fire with her red flames. This was just the beginning of the torture for the Serpent King. After he dies, he would continue burning eternally in hell.. 'Perfect punishment for him,' the Demon Queen thought and went to find her daughter who was now probably fighting with the serpent princess Lyra.
