Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 58 - Nine Vials Of Blood

Celestia's POV:

I turned to Theo, who was now frowning at the Mage Lord Magnus. What is going on here? I held Theo's brown robes and asked," Why are you not letting me do this? If there is a chance to save these nine innocent lives, then I am willing to take it."

Theo finally glanced at me. Lord Magnus was quietly watching both of us as if he saw a stage act.

"Celestia," Theo began. "The blood of an Angel can do wonders, and one of them is neutralizing the venom of the Vampire from the body. So your blood is the antidote for this."

My blood seems to do a lot of wonders than I actually could imagine. I understood why Theo didn't want me to do this. But if I don't do this, these nine Mage warriors will get turned into Vampires.

And I am not going to let that happen to them. I can't be the reason why nine of them live a cursed life for eternity.

"Okay," I mumbled. "But what is the worst that will happen if I give my blood to them? You once asked me to let my blood spill on the Doors of the Damned. Why should I not do it again?"

Theo grabbed my arm and gazed at me sternly. "Celestia, that was totally different. You gave only a few drops of your blood for that. But now, there are nine victims here. Each of them needs at least a vial of blood to neutralize the venom in their bodies. What will happen to you if they take ten vials of blood from you?"

I blinked at Theo because I didn't know the answer to his question. "What will happen?" I asked him plainly.

"You will be drained of energy, Celestia," Theo almost shouted out. "You will go unconscious, and I will not let that happen to you!"

"But if I don't give them my blood, they will all become monsters. So I should definitely do this," I argued back.

Theo got frustrated by my words. But what can I do about it? I am the only one who can save them, and I am willing to take this chance.

I turned back to Lord Magnus. "I am ready to give my blood," I announced.

The Valley Lord's face lit up. "Thank you so much for saving us, Dawn," he said, and then he glanced at a young curly-haired girl who was standing next to him.

She was very pale and short. But she was wearing a gown that was made up of expensive fabric, and the top portion of her dress was designed with emeralds. Just by looking at her, I understood that she is the daughter of Lord Magnus.

"Marilyn, go out and ask the healer wizard to bring the vials," the Lord instructed her daughter. Marilyn nodded at her father and sprinted away from the place immediately. She seems to be a nice girl!

Theo then came and stood in front of me. "Celestia, as your mentor, I am forbidding you to do this."

"Why are you still not letting it go?" I cried out.

"Because I can't see you in misery," Theo replied and shook me.

Now I get it! Theo hates to see me in misery. That is the reason he is stopping me. I smiled a little and held his hand.

I should not be arguing with him because he has been holding me back because of the love he has for me. And I was stupid enough to fight with him instead of reassuring him.

"Theo, I will be fine! Just let me do it," I said in a polite tone.

This time Theo neither approved me nor did he stop me. I was trying hard to figure out what was going on in his mind. He is always a mystery to me! I don't know when I will be able to understand him completely.

Soon Marylin returned to the tent with a tall and grumpy man. He must be the healer wizard! He was carrying a copper plate in his hand that had glass vials on them.

The glass vials seemed to be pretty large. I realized what Theo was trying to say. But still, I have to do this for the sake of saving lives.

Marilyn took a vial from the plate and moved closer to me. She bowed her head down a little before she began to speak. "Dawn, please permit me to do the deed," she said.

"Okay," I responded. After she got my approval, she took out a little dagger with a sharp blade from her sheath.

I flinched a little when she sliced my wrist with her sharp blade. Thick golden liquid dripped down from my hand. Marilyn collected my blood carefully in the vial.

It took a long time for a single vial to be filled. I wondered how much more blood I should be shedding to fill all the nine vials. Theo was facing in the opposite direction from me. He doesn't have to make a big deal about this. I will be fine!

I was completely normal until I filled four vials of my blood. But during the fifth vial, I began to get dizzy. I began to sweat, and my hands were shaking. What is happening to me?

My trembling made the blood spill on the ground. Theo seemed to notice my difficulty, and then he came to me.

"Celestia, you have to stop it now! Give your hand to me," Theo yelled at me.

With the bit of strength I had in me, I managed to push Theo away. "Please don't stop me, Theo. I need to do this," I cried out.

I was actually feeling my heartbeat slow down. I found it very difficult to even stand on my feet.

"Celestia," Theo said my name in a gentler tone. "If you continue now then-"

"It is okay, Theo," I interrupted. "Even if I fall unconscious on the ground, I request you not to stop me. Please make sure all the nine vials are filled. This is my wish, and I am expecting you to fulfill it!"

Theo got tight-lipped after that.. He told me that he would do anything for me if I ask him as a wish. So I hope he does what I said!
