Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow
Chapter 76 - My Eyes Were Blinded By Love...
Celestia's POV:
I sneaked out of the courtroom when all the mages were busy hailing the Silver Shadow. And the sad thing is that he didn't seem to notice that I was gone. He got what he wanted! Why would he care about me now?
I walked out of the emerald palace when the evening sun was still scorching the land. I didn't know where to go. Where could I possibly go now? I have nowhere to go and no one to rely on.
My legs took me automatically to the backside of the palace, which was the garden. The garden area of the court was stunning. There were so many beautiful flowers in there, and I didn't know the name of some of them.
Whatever! It doesn't really matter anyway. I sat down beside the shrubs of the bright red flowers. This is entirely my fault! If something happens to the Highlanders tomorrow, then it will be my fault!
I was born to protect these people, but now I am going to become the reason for their doom. I closed my eyes and began to speculate where everything went wrong.
It took me a while to comprehend that everything went wrong from the moment I met him near the cave. I was destroyed when I saw his sea-green eyes for the very first time.
After that, he began to come into my dreams and ruined my inner peace. The red signs were always there, but my eyes were blinded by love.
No matter what everyone told me about him, I refused to believe them because I fell in love with him. Even now, my heart desires him hopelessly. It wants to believe his lies and illusion!
"Celestia," I heard Ember call my name. But I didn't turn to her.
"What are you doing here? You should be standing beside Silver Shadow in the throne room," she said and crouched beside me on the grass.
A teardrop rolled down my cheek and turned into a pearl as soon as it fell on the grass. Ember gasped in astonishment. "Holy Aiden! What just happened?"
"My tears turn into pearls when they come out of my eyes," I replied to her and began to cry even more.
"Celestia, why are you crying?" Ember asked me. "You are the Queen of the Lowland region now! You should be happy."
I shook my head immediately. "He is a trickster," I cried out. "He made the Vampires attack these lands. And he pretended to save these people just to win their trust. And I was foolish enough to help him in his selfish deeds."
Ember was staring at me wide-eyed. "Are you serious?"
I nodded and continued to sob. "His only desire is to become the King! And half of his evil desire is fulfilled today. I let this all happen to my people."
"Celestia…. Celestia, stop crying now," Ember tried to calm me down. "This is not the time to cry! If what you say is true, then we have to alert everyone and battle against the Silver Shadow."
"No, you can't do that," I shouted out. "We can't battle against Silver Shadow and win because he has a thousand Demonic warriors as back up in the southern mage lands. So please don't say this out to everyone now. It will only disrupt the peace in the lowlands."
"Then what are we supposed to do? Just stay still and watch while he rules the regions?"
I shook my head again. "Take me to Daviana and my friends. I want to see them now," I pleaded with her.
"But your friends are in the Highlands. We both can't go there now."
"Then take me to Daviana. Only she will be able to help me with this."
"Okay, Celestia. Would you please stopping crying now? I will take you there!"
It is easy for her to say! How could I stop crying when I feel betrayed and guilty at the same time?!!!!!!

Ember managed to sneak me away from the emerald palace. I insisted on opening a portal to escape from the palace, but Ember told me that it would attract the attention of the palace guards.
So we both had to walk for such a long time to reach Daviana's cottage, which was deep in the meadows. The population in the meadows seemed to be more than that was in the stream regions.
The highland mountains appeared to be very close here. I was even able to see the forest of the light from here. I so wanted to go up there now.
Ever since I was a kid, I went to the forest of the light whenever I got upset. But unfortunately, I lost that right to be up there! I almost forgot about the vision that I had the other day.
The forest of the light was burning down to ashes. But I had no time to think about it due to all the chaos that took place after that. Maybe Daviana can help me with this one too!
Ember and I went inside the cottage of Daviana. The cottage was very wide, and it looked like a little mansion. Daviana is a well-known healer in the Valley, and the Mage Lord must have offered her this colossal cabin.
Daviana was shocked to see me. "Celestia," she almost screamed. "What are you doing here?"
The tears that I was controlling so hard came out when I saw her. It took me a while to explain everything to her. My mental shield was still strong, and she wasn't able to penetrate my mind. So I was obligated to say everything by myself.
She patiently listened to everything I said, and she didn't seem like she was judging me. Her eyes were only filled with pity. She was quiet even after I was done with my explanation.
"Now, please tell me, how do I stop him?" I asked her hoping that she would guide me.
Daviana shrugged off and said, "It is not going to be easy to stop him, Celestia, because now even the Highlanders have begun to revolt against King Oberon. They all want Silver Shadow and you to be their rulers."
"What?" I shouted out loud. How is this even possible? The Highland Faes worship Father Oberon like a deity, and now they are turning against him?!!!
