Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 77 - Psychic Resistance For A Short Time

Celestia's POV:

I stared at Daviana in disbelief. "How on Aiden's name are the Highlanders supporting the Silver Shadow?"

"Well, not every Highlander is supporting the Silver Shadow," Daviana clarified. "But some of the High Fae has turned against King Oberon as they lost hope in him. And one of the reasons why they lost hope is because Oberon has not yet retrieved the crown that was stolen from him."

So I am the reason for this too! I stole Father Oberon's crown and gave it to Theo. And now the Highlanders are revolting against my father because of what I did.

Theo is more than a trickster! He had everything planned out carefully. From the beginning, he has been scheming to sabotage my father.

"But there must be a way to stop him now. If we don't do it, then he is going to rule the whole realm," I screamed out.

"I am sorry to break it to you, Celestia," Daviana hesitated. "Things would have been different if you had not taken the Oath of Eternity with him. Because of that oath, you are forever bound to him. So you won't be able to battle him directly!"

A gasp escaped from my throat. I almost forgot about that one! He tricked me into taking that Oath! Everything he has done so far was to deceive me!

He is much worse than a Demon! At least the demons attack the light creatures face to face. But he invades people's minds and manipulates them like a nightmare spirit!

"Okay," I breathed out. "What will happen if I go against my vow and battle him? I have already broken one vow before. I was supposed to be a Maiden Warrior, but I broke my promise and mated with Silver Shadow."

"And look where that has led you?" Daviana fired at me. "If you had not broken your vow that you gave to your father, then none of this would have happened today. Breaking a promise always ends in destruction. Are you willing to cause even more destruction by breaking the promise you gave to Silver Shadow?"

I immediately got up from the wooden chair in which I was seated. "So are you telling me to side with Silver Shadow and do nothing while he brings darkness into the realm?"

Daviana didn't answer at all. I seriously didn't know why I came here. I thought she would guide me. Or maybe no one can actually help me with this. The damage is irreversible!

I stormed away from the hall and went into the nearest room that I could find. I closed the door as soon as I got in as I didn't want anyone to follow me. This one seems like a bedroom!

I was so tired, and so I immediately climbed on the mattress. I rested my head on the silk pillow and tried to calm down.

Maybe the only person who could aid me is my father! He has ruled this realm for so many years, and he has dealt with a lot of demons like him.

Only he can aid me! But he banished me from his realm and told me never to come back. And he must be even madder at me right now because I am the reason why he doesn't have his crown in the first place.

Why did I even steal my father's crown? Why did I do everything that he instructed me to do? Was I under enchantment? Or was it all me?!!!

I guess it was me! Even after I got hit by the Arrow of Truth, I believed his lies. So it is me! I didn't have the strength to mourn or do anything else. And I don't remember when exactly I fell asleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Come back to me, Celestia," a voice whispered in my head when I was in a deep sleep. "You belong to me!"
I immediately woke up from my sleep. My shield is gone! That is why I am able to hear his voice again. He is trying to get me again. My situation can't get any worse than this.
Daviana was seated right next to my bed in a chair, and she was reading a grimoire. The Grimoire seemed very old to me. So it must have a list of all the ancient spells in it!
It took her a while to notice that I was awake. "Celestia, what happened?"
I shook my head and clenched the sheets of the mattress. "My mental shield is gone! He would easily be able to control me now."
Daviana then touched my hand. I was actually able to feel her penetrating through my mind. She took a long time to let go of my hand.
"This is unbelievable!" she exclaimed. "You were able to unleash your inner powers only because you thought that Theo was in danger."
Why is she reminding me of that one again? I was about to confront her about it, but Ember got in the room and screamed at us. "The Siren girls have got in the meadow regions, and they seem to be casually lurking around. But they are here to capture Celestia."
A chill went down my bones as I heard what she said. Daviana got up from her chair immediately and placed her Grimoire on the nightstand.
"Silver Shadow knows that Celestia is here. That is why he sent those Siren girls here. We should hide her now," Daviana announced and went to the closet.
How can they possibly hide me from the Sirens? My mental shield is worn out now. So they could easily sense my presence no matter where I hide in this cottage.
Then Daviana took out a small vial and a needle from her closet and came over to me. The vial had very little silver liquid in it that looked like Unicorn's blood. She dipped the needle in the Silver blood and stuck the needle in the skin of my arm.
"I have injected a minimal amount of Unicorn's blood in you," Daviana declared. "This will give you psychic resistance only for one or two days. But this should be enough for concealing yourself from those Siren girls now."
I understood what she said. In the past, they dipped three large arrows in Unicorn blood and hit me with them. That's why my mental shield lasted for these many days. And now I am just injected with this tiny little needle!
Whatever! At least it gives me psychic resistance for a short time.
