HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(SURPRISED SWEET AND PAIN)

In the morning at the Duke residence, Cathlen woke up and changed herself into clothes she prepares to wear, making Angela surprised as she enters her chamber.

"Miss!" Angela raises her voice in surprise, making Cathlen startled as she dashes close to Cathlen.

"Angela? Why are you so surprised?" Cathlen ask.

"Miss, who helps you get change?" Angela asks.

"No one, why?" Cathlen answers as Angela gasps. She deep sigh and spoke again.

"Stop wearing that surprised face. Come on, let's go to the dining room. Are my parents already there waiting for me?" Cathlen asks as she felt not in the pleasant weather today because of what happened the other night.

"Yes, wait, Miss, why your eyes are puffy? Did you cry the other night?" Angela asks as Cathlen only gazes at her with tired eyes.

"No, I can't sleep the other night, so my eyes look puffy," Cathlen answer.

"Oh, by the way, Miss, how was it?" Angela asks as Cathlen heaves a sigh again.

"Not good. Sir Arnold and his brothers can't help me," Cathlen replies in a firm tone of voice.

"What? Wait, Miss. May I know why you want Sir Arnold and his brother's help? I forgot to ask you the other day about it," Angela asks, curious. Cathlen gaze at her for three seconds, then heave a sharp sigh as she wears a straight expression.

"The reason behind it is that. I want to talk to Lady Vendia alone," Cathlen answer, which made Angela drop her jaw in shock for a second.

"WHAT? Y-you want to talk to Lady Vendia? But Miss! The Duchess told me that,"

"I know, I know. There's no need to talk about it. Let's go to the dining room now," Cathlen cut their conversation short as she went out of her room first, then Angela follows her.

"Miss, why you want to talk to Lady Vendia?" Angela asks as they stride in the hallway side by side.

"I can't tell you the reason, but it's something important," Cathlen answer.

'Haiyo, staying inside the book is hard than staying at our actual world. But it can also be a blessing because here everything can be possible. And all the things that I needed back into our world are all here,' Alda thought as Angela look at her then saw Angela's bother expression.

Angela felt uneasy and concern upon seeing Cathlen being out of her character today. So she thinks of a way that she can help her and make her feel better.

"Miss, maybe I can help you," Angela mentions, which made Cathlen turn her head to her in abrupt.

"What did you say?" Cathlen ask.

"I said, I will help you about Lady Vendia, Miss," Angela answers as Cathlen stops walking, and so does Angela, then looks at her stunned, blinking three times.

"Miss?" Angela call worried upon seeing Cathlen space out.

"MISS!" Angela shouts, making Cathlen back to her senses.

"Oh, wait. Are you sure?" Cathlen asks as Angela nods.

"Yes, Miss. I have a friend at the Marquis. Maybe she can help you deliver the letter to Lady Vendia," Angela mentions.

"What?" Cathlen asks in surprise.

"She is also a maid there at the Marquis. Her name is Mia," Angela explained, which made Cathlen went close to her then hold her both hands.

"Why you didn't tell me before?" Cathlen responds in an excited tone of voice, making Angela shocked.

'Yes! YAAAS!' Alda thought as she felt light and all sunny now.

"Miss?" Angela call as she gazes at Cathlen, confused. Cathlen releases Angela's hands then smile at her.

"Okay, let's go back to my room," Cathlen mentions.

"But, Miss. The Duke and Duchess are already waiting for you inside the dining room," Angela responds, worried.

'Oh, right? I almost forgot. Okay, I do not need to worry anymore because Angela already promises that she will help me. So let's eat breakfast first, then do the plan after,' Alda thought as she smiles at Angela, making her not worry anymore.

"Okay, let's go to the dining room. Hurry!" Cathlen responds, dragging Angela into the dining room in haste. After three minutes, they arrive.

"Miss, I will go now and send a letter to my friend Mia so she can meet you later to the town," Angela mentions.

"Wait. Tell your friend to bring Lady Vendia with her to the town later," Cathlen reply as Angela nod then leaves to do her task.

"Huh? But, Miss. I think," Angela could not finish her words as Cathlen inserted, not letting her finish.

"Okay, let's get inside and eat fast," Cathlen utter as she opened the door wide with a smile, then enters inside and sit on her chair at a pace as she greets her parents.

"Morning, Mother and father,"

The Duke and Duchess gaze at their daughter, surprised by her sunny reactions.

"Good morning, dear. I see you sleep well the other night?" Duke Thranduil asks.

"Yes, I do!" Cathlen answers with a high pitch of voice, making her parents startled, then laugh at her.

"Hahaha, you sure do," Duchess Aerwen replies as they then continue eating their breakfast like a family.

At the Marquis residence, Lady Vendia woke up with a headache and hazy feeling.

"Em~..." Vendia whines in pain as she sits up from her bed, holding onto her head using her right hand.

"Mary?" She calls with a dried sore throat and exhausted eyes.

"Yes, I'm here, Miss," Mary calls as she went over to her side, then sits on the right side of the bed.

"M-mary, my head hurts, and my throat dried," Vendia mentions making Mary stood out from the bed and went to the table as she gets some cold water pouring it into the glass, then went back to Vendia side.

"Here, Miss. Drink water for a while," Mary responds, lending a glass of cold drinking water to Vendia.

"Thank you, Mary," Vendia reply as she takes the glass of water from Mary.

"The madam and his excellency told me it's okay if you won't join them for breakfast today," Mary mentions as she went over to the table again, then takes the carrot ginger soup for Vendia.

"For real?" Vendia asks within her tired voice.

"Yes, Miss. Here chef Andrea made this for you," Mary mentions making Vendia look at her for a second in awe.

"For real?" She asks.

"Yes, when you all came back from the party the other day, Lord Marthen was carrying you, and Chef Andrea saw you. So she knows you got drunk the other day," Mary mentions, which made Vendia choked on her soup.

Cough

"Wh-what? I get drunk the other day?" Vendia asks, shocked.

"Yes, Miss. You don't remember?" Mary asks in surprise.

"I don't. Did something happen the other day? Other than me being drunk?" Vendia asks, worried.

"Hmm, Ah! Yes, there is!" Mary mentions making Vendia nervous and impatient.

"What? What happened the other day?" Vendia asks in haste.

"Lord Marthen said that Lady Cathlen was carrying you when they found you into the terrace the other day," Mary answer as Vendia look at her, surprised.

"She did?"

"Yes, she said that you got drunk then collapse,"

"But how come Lady Cathlen's is also with me on the terrace the other day?" Vendia asks, curious.

"That I don't know because Lord Marthen mentions to me they didn't ask any further questions to her because they were so worried about you," Mary answer as Vendia nod.

"Then, I should thank her in person for helping me and carrying me the other day," Vendia mentions.

"NO! ahem! I mean. There's no need for you to do that, Miss. The master and madam won't let you meet her too, so it's best to leave as it is," Mary mentions.

"Mary, I need to thank Lady Cathlen if I don't thank her. I will only be in debt to her my whole life," Vendia mentions.

"But, Miss the madam and his excellency won't let you," Mary responds as she wears a concerned expression.

"Mary, I don't need to ask permission from them so I can thank the person who helps me," Vendia reply, but Mary still wearing an uncomfortable expression.

"Okay, Miss. But I will go with you," Mary mentions making Venida giggled.

"Of course, and Sir Aloit will also join us too," Vendia responds.

"That's good then, but Miss, are you going to visit her today?" Mary asks.

"Yes," Vendia answer.

"But your head still hurt, right?"

"Yes, but this pain will fade later when I rest after I eat this soup Chef Andrea made for me," Vendia mention, but her head got hurt with no warned, making her hear a sound ring inside.

"Ah!" Vedia shouts in pain as she remembered some scene the other day on the terrace.

"Bad! BAD! Your bad! Why you're so late! Why you made me so wor-"

"Your so bad... I hate. I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!"

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry,"

'Who? Ah! What is thi-ah!' Vendia scream inside her thought as she holds her head tight with her hands in pain, Mary is panicking beside her as she keeps repeating Vendia name over and over again with a worried tone of voice. But Vendia can't seem to hear her.
