HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(CROSSROAD OF FATE)

"Where can I see you again? You know I can't visit or even enter your residence because they say that the Marquis residence. Is heavily guarded," Alda mention, which made Yerre wonder then look at her with a clueless expression.

"Heavily guarded? Who told you that? I didn't know that," Yerre ask, shocked.

"Oh, the people who I told you about earlier," Alda mentions.

"The one you hire to search for Cathlen lamp?" Yerre ask.

"Yes," Alda answer.

"I didn't know that the Marquis is so,"

"So do I,"

"Don't worry. I will visit you here again tomorrow," Yerre respond.

"No, don't, if you visit me here again tomorrow. It will cause suspicions to your servant and mine," Alda reply making Yerre feel disappointed.

"Then what can we do? I want to spend time with you again tomorrow," Yerre mentions, which made Alda feel happy.

"Hehehe, why are you so cute," Alda respond, patting Vendia's head with her right hand.

"Because you said I was cute?" Yerre reply, giving out a grinning smile.

"Hmmm, okay, okay," Alda respond as the two of them then laugh together for one minute. Then remember the problem again. Yerre deep sighs, and so does Alda.

"Okay, let's do it this way," Alda already found a solution.

"What is it?" Yerre asks, curious and excited as she listens to Alda's explanation.

"Since I can't go out without guards, and you also can't go out without a servant and guard. How about at night," Alda suggested, but Yerre still can't grasp her point (?)

"Huh?" Yerre tilt Vendia head to the side, disoriented. Alda finds it cute and chuckled.

"What I mean is how about every night we meet. You sneak out alone to the Marquis residence, and I also sneak out to the Duke residence, then wait for you outside the Marquis place with my horse," Alda elaborates her plan.

"But if you sneak out your horse, it will cause suspicions," Yerre mentions, worried for her best friend.

"It won't because I will use another horse, and I will disguise myself as a servant," Alda respond as Yerre still felt uncertain and concern.

"But what if it doesn't work? What if you get punished and grounded," Yerre replies, anxious.

"It will work. I have Angela to guide me," Alda mentions, which made Yerre shocked.

"You will tell her you are going to meet me at night?" Yerre asks, stunned.

"No, I will tell her I will meet Sir Arnold and his brother regarding Cathlen lamp," Alda answer, but Yerre still feels anxious about her plan.

"You're going to lie?" Yerre ask.

"Yes, that's the only way," Alda answer.

"Okay, am I also going to disguise as a servant so I can sneak out?"

"No, you sneak out when everything is already quiet. The Marquis has a garden, right?" Alda ask.

"Yes,"

"Can you climb up to the garden wall? I will wait for you on the other side. Don't worry. I will catch you. I promise I will be there on time," Alda request with assurance. Yerre looks at her for a second with a troubled expression, then sighs.

"Okay, let's do your plan. Tomorrow night, right?" Yerre accepts her idea. Alda smiles, full of gladness and excitement.

"Yes, tomorrow night," Alda answers as Yerre nods. Then a knock on the door ring inside the room, making them both startle and on alert. Alda stares at the door with an intense glare as Yerre felt nervous and worry.

"Yerre, go hide inside my closet," Alda instructs as Yerre nods to her words, then went inside her gigantic wardrobe. Alda then fixed her emotion and expression as she went close to the door, opening it wide only to see Angela. She heaves a relief sigh and smiles at her.

"Miss," Angela calls.

"Is you," Alda respond.

"You need something, Miss?" Angela asks.

"Yes, get inside the room first," Alda responds as Angela then went inside and closed the door.

"What is it, Miss?" Angela asks, curious.

"Lady Vendia, you can come out now," Alda mentions as Yerre went out to her closet with a relieved sigh. Angela looks at her with a wondering gaze.

"Angela, how's Lady Vendia's maid?" Alda asks, worried that Mary may cause a scene outside of the Duke residence.

"She is inside my quarter, Miss. I bring them there before I escort Lady Vendia to your room," Angela answers.

"Oh, okay, how about their carriage and the coachman?"

"I bring their carriage to where the path towards the hidden wall door to our garden," Angela answer, which made Alda relief.

"Good, Is Mary didn't panic or anything?" Alda asks for assurance.

"No, but she keeps pacing back and forth. I feel like she can dig a gigantic hole inside my room in no time," Angela answers, making Alda chuckled. She turned around then look at Vendia with a smirk.

"You hear that, Lady Vendia?"

"Yes, loud and clear," Yerre answer, giving out a gentle smile to Angela.

Angela got startled by her smile is her first time seeing the Marquis daughter smile that sweet, making Angela think about what other people were saying about her being an evil person.

'Maybe those rumors were not true,' Angela thought as she looks at Lady Vendia full of wonder and deep thought, Alda saw Angela's wondering gaze at Vendia, and she felt uncomfortable about it.

"Ahem! Okay, uh, I'm done talking to Lady Vendia now. Can I trust you to escort her out of our mansion, Angela?" She mentions.

"Yes, Miss, don't worry," Angela answers, full of determination.

"Erm, okay. Lady Vendia remembers what I said, all right," Alda reminded Yerre as she looks at her with a straight face because Angela is not here with them. Yerre smile at her then nodded.

"Yes, of course. Then thank you for your time, Lady Cathlen. I shall not bother you for long," Yerre responds, making Alda want to laugh, but she holds it.

'What the fuck with this formality. My god, I can't,' Alda thought, holding her laugh.

"O-okay, then. Get your cloak to my couch and leave," Alda tried to hold in her laugh well as she waves her right hand, signaling Angela to escort Vendia out to her room already. Yerre wears Cathlen cloak again and readies herself to leave.

"Follow me, Lady Vendia," Angela turned around and walked out of the room first. Yerre turned to Alda for a second, then spoke.

"I will go now,"

Alda went over to her fast, then embrace Yerre for a second and let go in haste because they hear Angela's footsteps heading back inside her room again.

"Lady Vendia?" Angela calls.

"Yes, I'm coming," Yerre responds as she runs after Angela, leaving Alda alone into Cathlen room.

"Haaa, I'm so tired. I take a nap for one hour," Alda mentions as she went to Cathlen's bed and lay down, resting.

While she is resting, Angela and Yerre were striding fast back to her quarters to get Mary and get out of the Duke residence. Every corner and hallway they pass through, they proceed with cautions. After five minutes of walking in haste, they then arrived inside Angela's quarter, and Mary then embraces her full of relief.

"Miss! Oh, thank god I thought something bad had happened to you already," Mary mentions, which made Angela offended.

"What are you trying to imply," Angela spoke out her feeling.

"Nothing, I'm only concerned about, Miss Vendia," Mary answer making Yerre sigh.

"Okay, stop, Mary, that's not right. Lady Cathlen is such a fine and well manner woman. She won't hurt or harm me. We only talk about something important, that's all," Yerre defending Cathlen's side because her best friend will never harm her.

"I'm sorry, Miss. I was only worried about you. Please forgive me," Mary apologizes.

"Mary, I'm not the person you should apologize with, you know that, right?" Yerre responds as Mary nods, then went over to where Angela is standing, apologizing to her.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to talk bad about Lady Cathlen,"

Angela looks at her for a second with her right brow-raising from anger.

"Okay, but next time you should watch your words," Angela respond as Mary nod then went back to where Vendia standing.

"Angela, we have to go now. Can you escort us outside now?" Yerre mentions as Ange nods then went out to her quarter first, checking their area if it's safe to proceed and go outside.

"Come now, follow me," Angela signaling them to follow her fast with caution. For four minutes, they stride and arrived outside. Yerre releases a relieved sigh as they are now beside the carriage that they bring from the Marquis residence.

"Angela, thank you for helping us get inside and escape," Yerre thanking her as Angela nod and smile at her.

"Your welcome, Lady Vendia. But I suggest you do not visit. The Duke residence again. Today we got lucky because some knights are inside the training ground. Enhancing their skills," Angela mentions, which made Yerre give a wistful smile.

"I understand your concern. Thank you again for helping us today, Angela," She thanked her again.

"Is my pleasure to help you, Lady Vendia. Have a safe trip back home," Angela responds, vowing to her with respect.
