HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(CALCULATION OF BELIEF)

Yerre is now riding back to the Marquis residence with Mary inside the carriage. After two hours of riding. They then arrived outside the Marquis mansion. But she felt something off because she saw Vendia's mother crying and her father wearing an anxious face.

'Oh, no,' Yerre thought, nervous, seeing Vendia's mother crying mess as Mary then saw her uncomfortable expression.

"Miss?" Mary called out to her. She turned around and looked at her with an anxious expression.

"Mary, don't speak to my parents, okay? Let me handle everything," She speaks, then Mary nods. When the carriage stopped in front of the entrance door to the mansion, she then went out to the carriage first and showed a wistful smiled at Vendia's parents.

"Mother, father, I'm hom-" She could not finish her sentence because Vendia's mother embraces her fast into her arms as she cries from so many worries.

"I thought something bad happened to you again!" Madam Rose mentions within her sobs as Yerre hugs Vendia's mother back, then looks over at Vendia's father and saw his gaze on her with an angry expression.

"Where have you been? Look at what you have done to your mother. She almost collapses from thinking about you. You made her so worry, and so do I! What took you so long to tour the town? You made us so worry I almost send out my people to search for you!" Lord Marthen uses his dominant voice, scolding her. She flinches and got startled, surprised by Vendia's father's bark at her.

"Dear! Why are you scaring our daughter! It's fine now she got back home safe," Madam Rose responds to Lord Marthen's words, still crying. Lord Marthen heave a sigh, calming himself down, but he still feels stress.

"Okay, I'm sorry. I was only worried," Lord Marthen apologized, making Yerre sigh and relaxed.

"Mother, I'm sorry for making you both worried," She mentions caressing Vendia's mother back to calm her down, apologizing as Madam Rose accepts her apology then stops crying.

"Don't go out for too long without Sir Aloit beside you again, okay?" Madam Rose demand, which made Vendia wonder.

"Why, mother? Mary is with me, so is fine," Vendia responds.

"We know, but it still dangerous, so next time don't go out without Sir Aloit, understand?" Lord Marthen mentions as Vendia nods and answers.

"Yes, father, I understand, and I'm sorry again for making you both worry," Yerre reply, apologizing to Vendia's parents once again as Mary also went out from the carriage wearing an apologetic expression.

"Madam, my lord," Mary calls out for them as she keeps looking down at the ground with the same expression.

"Mary, follow me to my office," Lord Marthen demand as Mary nod, but before they could walk off, Vendia break the hug then grabbed Lord Marthen's left hand, making him surprised.

"Father, can I come?" She asks, worried, as Lord Marthen looked over to her daughter and sighed.

"No, I want to talk to Mary alone," Lord Marthen respond and Yerre panic inside. Mary saw her troubled expression.

"Miss, it's fine," Mary mentions, smiling to calm her thought down.

"But," Yerre still has a resistant feeling, but when Mary looked at her with an assuring expression, she then relaxed and breath out a relieved sigh. Lord Marthen senses something wrong within their words and gazes, so he asks.

"Did you two go to town earlier? Or you two went on a different direction,"

Mary restrains herself from showing a surprised expression by putting a plain face in front of Lord Marthen.

"We went to visit the new souvenir shop in the town. Then after that, we went touring the town. Miss Vendia enjoyed the tour, and so do I. So we lose track of time," Mary explains as she formed a false scenario through her all words. Yerre felt responsible, for she made Mary lie to Vendia's parents.

"I see," Lord Marthen respond, convince by Mary's words.

"Did you two already have lunch?" Madam Rose asks, concern.

'No, in fact, I'm super hungry right now,' Yerre and Mary both thought in sync.

"Yes, Madam, we did," Mary answer, lying again as she gives out a calm smile to Madam Rose.

"That's good then, come now, let's all get inside," Madam Rose mentions as they all then went inside the mansion and went on their separate way. Vendia and Madam Rose went into the chamber while Lord Marthen and Mary went towards the office.

"Sweetheart, do you need something?" Madam Rose asks as they arrived inside Vendia's chamber, but Vendia didn't answer her. Instead, she went to sit on the couch, and she followed her after.

"Mother, where's Sir Aloit? Is already afternoon, right? How come he's not here yet? He always comes early. Did something bad happened?" She asks, concern. Madam Rose looks at her daughter's concerned face and felt sorry because she can't tell what is going on.

"Nothing, maybe he had some errands to do. So he's not here yet," Madam Rose responds, but it only made Vendia more worried and anxious.

"Are you sure, mother?" She asks for assurance.

"Yes, I'm sure," Madam Rose reply.

"But how come he never told me about it?" Vendia asks again, still worried.

"Maybe it's something he can't share with you yet. I'm sure he's fine," Madam Rose reply as Vendia heaves a sigh.

"But why do I feel like something is not right? Out of nowhere, mother? My heart is beating fast, and I feel uncomfortable knowing Sir Aloit still not here with us?" She opens her worries.

"Nothing bad will happen to Sir Aloit his a vigorous man. Maybe you are just tired. Take a nap for a while, okay? I will make Mary wake you up later for dinner," Madam Rose mentions, but Yerre still feels something off because the feeling she had today already happened before she loses her parents back to their world.

"Okay, mother," she replies as they both stood out from the couch and embrace each other for a second, then let go.

"Rest well," Madam Rose mentions, then leave.

"Haaa, I hate this feeling so much, I hate it," Yerre utters to herself as she sat back down on the couch with a heavy feeling inside her heart.

Inside Lord Marthen's office, Mary sat on the opposite couch with Lord Marthen as they talk things related to the Physician.

"Did Sir Aloit already talk to you regarding what he will do next about the situation?" Lord Marthen asks.

"No, he only said that. I will only need to stay inside the Marquis mansion tell things had gone down," Mary answer.

"So you are aware then why did you go out with my daughter today?" Lord Marthen mentions, which made Mary feel sorry.

"I'm sorry, my lord is my fault. I will accept my punishment fully," Mary mentions kneeling in front of Lord Marthen.

"Stand up," Lord Marthen demand sighing, stress as Mary do what he asked her to do.

"I'm sorry, my lord," She apologies again, but Lord Marthen still didn't reply to her. Instead, he asks another question.

"Did you sense someone following you two around?" Lord Marthen asks, serious.

"No, I didn't," Mary answer as Lord Marthen felt like something is wrong.

"Strange," Lord Marthen utter.

"My Lord? Is something the matter?" Mary asks.

"Yes," Lord Marthen answer, which made Mary confused.

"Huh?"

"Sir Aloit and Prince Albert went to the king's palace today," Lord Marthen mentions.

"WHAT?" Mary responds in her surprised voice.

"Yes, so the King must have already known who killed his person because Sir Aloit and Prince Albert went to the Astrod kingdom today to talk and explain everything that happened," Lord Marthen answer.

"You mean? The king already knows?"

"Yes,"

"And he has sent some people to bring me to him?" Mary asks, scared.

"I don't know, but most of the time, he will. To verify if it is true or false, but today is different. I'm still uncertain because Sir Aloit still hasn't come back yet, and it's already afternoon," Lord Marthen mentions, concern and worried.

"My Lord, what if something had happened to Sir Aloit? What will we do? The miss is very fond of Sir Aloit," Mary asked, anxious.

"Don't worry, the king won't harm him," Lord Marthen respond, but Mary still felt bothered.

"How can you be so sure, My Lord?" Mary asks for assurance.

"Because Prince Albert is there with him and Sir Aloit is a trained knight for battle, so we do not need to worry," Lord Marthen mentions, which made Mary sigh a relief but still have worried.

"That's a relief then," Mary replies.

"Yes, but the mistake you made today is fatal. You can't do reckless things again because my daughter's life will be on the line. Do you understand my words?" Lord Marthen mentions asking Mary for clear deliverance of his words.

"Yes, I understand, my lord, this won't happen again," Mary answer nodding and vowing to him, showing respect.
