HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(CHYME OF ALTERATION)

"She knows how to bake already?" Xiane asks in disbelief, making her mother click her tongue in discomfort.

"Sorry," Xiane apologizes in haste upon hearing her mother, covering her mouth with her left hand, feeling guilt upon blurting out the words that can offend a person they are describing in their conversation.

"Can we get inside, Aloit?" May ask.

"Yes, go ahead," Sir Aloit answer as May and Xiane then enter the house in pace.

"How is she?" Chef Fred asks in his concerned tone of voice.

"She's doing fine. Thanks to your all care and warm welcome, she seems to love her stay here," Sir Aloit responds to Chef Fred's question.

"That's good to hear," Elaine sigh in relief as she clings into her husband's left arm with her right hand.

"Yes,"

"Are you sure you're going back home? You can stay here and hide. You don't have to do the thing you don't want to do," Chef Fred suggested, but Sir Aloit only chuckled then give out a bitter smile and expression to him and his wife, which made them feel sentimental and sad for Sir Aloit situation.

"Then let the Marquis suffer?" Sir Aloit asks in his bitter tone of voice.

"Aloit..." Elaine mutters in her concerned, toned voice.

"I'd rather suffer and have myself sacrifice than seeing them suffer," Sir Aloit reply with a voice full of silent rage and bitterness.

"Then why don't you and the Marquis stay here and hide instead?" Chef Fred suggested, which made Aloit surprised, then gaze at him, thinking, but Chef Fred's suggestion still has a red flag at the end.

"No, no matter where we hide, there's still unescaped tendency. No one said that a prey. Can hide all its life," Sir Aloit responds with a disappointed tone of voice.

"You are right," Elaine replies.

"That's what I was thinking before, but at the end, there's still uncertainty and insecurity," Sir Aloit mentions.

"I'm sorry for making you overthink too much. If you and the Marquis ever need help. You can signal us, and we will aid ahead," Chef Fred mentions with a tone full of determination and promises.

"I will, but you have to train your people first to be unkind if you want to aid people like us," Sir Aloit responds.

"We know," Elaine reply with a serious expression.

"That's good then,"

"Yes,"

"We figured we won't always be able to keep this land in silent. That is why I am seeking your help in enhancing young people into a war," Chef Fred mentions with a hopeful expression.

"I see, but you know I can't help you with that because after ten days. I will serve the royal family as Prince Adam knight," Sir Aloit responds.

"I know," Chef Fred responds, as his wife only listens to their conversation in silence.

"But you don't have to worry. I have someone who can help and do the job for me," Sir Aloit mentions, pointing his words to someone he trusts and has helped him countless times before.

"Oh, do we know the person you are describing?" Elaine asks.

"No, but that person is very suitable for the things you all want to accomplish. He has many resources unlike me," Sir Aloit compared himself to Sir Albert.

"I see,"

"Can we see that person?" Chef Fred asks.

"Of course, but I won't be with him when he came here."

"What is his name?" Elaine asks.

"His name is Albert, the third prince of Alfendra," Sir Aloit answer.

"The kingdom of A-alfendra?" Elaine stutter.

"Yes," Sir Aloit answer, making Elaine and Chef Fred drop their jaw in surprise.

"Are you sure you want to seek help from him?" Chef Fred asks in disbelief.

"Wait, how come you know the third prince of Alfendra?" Elaine asks.

"I didn't know him at first. The person who introduces me to him is Vendia," Sir Aloit answer.

"Vendia?" Elaine asks, full of curiosity.

"Yes, you two must have heard the rumor about him already, right?" Sir Aloit responds with a question.

"Yes, I heard he surrender his position as a third prince," Chef Fred answer.

"Yes, he did," Sir Aloit answer.

"Right, so how come you said that he has more resources than you?" Elaine asks in confusion.

"He may surrender his position of being the third prince of Alfendra and the next candidate to become King. His duty as a son still has not faded," Sir Aloit explained to them.

"Your right," Chef Fred agreed.

"And besides, even if he doesn't have a rank, he still has money to purchase land and create his business," Sir Aloit added an elaboration.

"Your right," Elaine responded.

"He has a business?" Chef Fred asks with eyes wide open from shock.

"Yes, Vendia happened to fond of art a lot, and they meet because of it,"

"What? You mean to say that his business is all related to arts?"

"Not all of it, but the major product on his store is all about arts," Sir Aloit answer.

"Oh,"

"I see,"

"Yes,"

"So, what is your first step going to be?" Elaine asks.

"I will talk to him first," Sir Aloit responds.

"Yeah, that is the better option to do first," Chef Fred replies.

"Yeah,"

"Okay, let us help you design this place," Elaine mentions, making Sir Aloit realize he still has not done designing the place they were going to use later for the farewell party.

"Right, I almost forgot about it," Sir Aloit blurts out, feeling pressured and concern.

"Okay, okay. Don't mind your brain's capacity to remember things because you know. You are on the verge of an age of crisis already. Let's focus on getting this place filled with designs," Elaine responded.

"Aiya! Stop reminding me about that," Sir Aloit complains, making Chef Fred and Elaine release a light laugh.

"Okay, okay," Elaine reply waving her right hand to signal Sir Aloit to let go of the conversation.

"Hurry, hurry, let's continue arranging this place before Vendia finishes baking," Chef Fred suggested as Sir Aloit and Elaine then nod.

"All right! Let's go get to work!" Elaine exclaimed while stretching all her arms up above, getting ready to do the job.

After two minutes of stretching, Chef Fred and Elaine then help Sir Aloit upon designing the place.

While Sir Aloit, Chef Fred, and Elaine are busy outside. Yerre, May, and Xiane are inside the kitchen having fun baking.

"Vendia, where did you learn how to bake?" May ask.

"I learn from your mother, Elaine. She teaches me how to do it. Five hours ago," Yerre answers.

"Are you sure?" Xiane asks while she sat at the chair in front of the table.

"Yes," Yerre brief reply.

"But that was earlier," May responds as she feels disbelief.

Because from the time their mother teaches them how to bake for the first time. They can't get the guidance and steps inside their head fast. So, their mother ended up teaching them for three days before they expert everything.

"I'm a fast learner," Yerre mentions with a smile, feeling confident and proud of herself while inside her heartfelt guilt upon lying to them.

"Oh,"

"Yeah, after her teaching and guidance five hours ago. I then master everything," Yerre responds.

"Good for you," Xiane compliments her.

"Yeah, we learn how to bake for three days before we get it right."

"What? For sure?" Yerre asks in surprise.

"Yes," May answer with a low spirit expression.

"Is true. We can't keep up with our mother's instructions and steps all at once, so she ended up teaching us how to bake for three days, Jaja," Xiane explains with a light laugh while Yerre looks at them with a wistful smile.

"It's fine. At least you two tried your very best to learn, right?" Yerre replies to their words, trying to make them feel confident about themselves.

"... Yeah," Xiane reply without confidence.

"It's okay. I never said that I am a baking expert already. I only said that I now know how to bake, so I am still uncertain of the result of my works," Yerre explains.

"I only test out my learning from your mother," Yerre added with a sincere smile.

"Oh,"

"But how come you know about carrot being good to mix with flour and make it to a cake?" May asks.

"Ahh, I didn't know that carrot can be mixed into the flour and made into a cake. I only wonder what if I bake a carrot cake then I ended up baking one," Yerre answer.

"So you mean to say that you are inventing something new to bake?" Xiane ask.

"Yes,"

'No, carrot cake is one of my mother's specialties,' Yerre thought.

"Wow, so you are uncertain if the cake you bake would taste better or bitter," Xiane mentions.

"Yup," Yerre answer.

"I see," May responded.

After their conversation, Yerre then made them help her on designing the carrot cake and other things for preparation. When their work has done, Xiane then went outside to check if everything is in place and if it's ready to use already.

"Is Vendia already done baking?" Elaine asks while she put the skirting design to the table cloth Sir Aloit put earlier before they arrived.

"Not yet," Xiane answer.

"I see. What kind of food does Vendia's baking?" Elaine asks.

"She is baking a carrot cake and onion bread," Xiane respond.
