HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(THE WAY THROUGH GREATNESS)

A wind of passing dreams and the mourning of the past passed by inside the room, making the people smile in gratefulness and sigh in relief. Alda looked straight at Kayla with a sentimental feeling and thought.

'The world does work differently for people. It made you think why this world gave us life just to dream, suffer, build belief, learn, experience, help others and die at the end. What does the world want to prove? '

Alda wanted to know the answer, but she couldn't think of any, so she ended up with the conclusion that maybe that was just how the world works. This is an unpredictable, beautiful, and mysterious world. A world where you are the main lead of your own story and you are the one in charge of choosing which character you want to play is free because you are in control of it all. Whether you choose to be a unique one or the same one as others is up to you, because you are the one who can define the outcome of it all. It's yours to choose and yours to work.

Kayla looked straight at Alda, then gave out a thankful smile.

"Well, yeah. I think, "she replied.

"And regarding your request, well, I don't have a choice do I? I can't force someone to do the part of other people. I'm not that heartless, "Kayla added.

Alda looked at her with mocking eyes and an expression that said, Are you sure about that? Kayla saw her expression and she gave out an awkward chuckle and a flustered expression.

"Well, anyway, anyway. I accept your apology but on one condition, "Kayla mentions, which made Alda curious and ask.

"What is it?"

"Can I come with you and be your personal fortune teller?" She said.

"What?" Alda looked at her surprised. Kayla sighed like she was stressed and said.

"I want to go out here and see the world outside too. Please, I've been stuck in this land for so long with that girl who always calls me mother, "

Alda released a light laugh and replied.

"Are you trying to skip being a mother?"

Kayla frowned at her and answered with a sulking tone of voice.

"No! Of course not. I just want to explore the world I created, you know? "

Alda looked at her, observing her reactions and behavior, trying to find out if she was telling a lie. But she ended up only seeing the truth, so she replied by asking her again about being a mother, to tease her a bit because she was bored.

"You don't want to be called mother?"

Kayla looked at her with an exhausted expression and said.

"Are you that bored?" She figured and Alda only laughed and responded.

"Sorry, yes. I'm really bored, "she admitted. Kayla sighed and said.

"Well, to answer your question, no. But I don't have a choice. So, what is your answer? " Kayla asked excitedly. Alda looked straight at Kayla, thinking for a while, and asked.

"How old are you?"

"I am 27. Why? "

"Nothing,"

"Okay, how about you? How old are you? "she asked.

"I'm 21," Alda answered.

"WHAT? You are younger than me! " Kayla said, which made Alda look at her with a frown and ask with a firm tone of voice.

"What about it? So what if you are older than me? It does not change the fact that you harmed my girlfriend, you know, "Alda mentions the topic they talked about earlier, which made Kayla feel uncomfortable and release an awkward laugh.

"A... haha. I thought we were over it already," she said.

"Over my ass. Just kidding, I'm only teasing you, hahaha, "Alda replied, which made Kayla speechless and feel unbelievable. She sighs and asks the answer to her last question earlier.

"Haiyo, so what is your answer?"

"If I keep you by my side, you will listen to every demand I ask, right?"

Kayla nodded and said in a desperate tone of voice.

"Yes, yes, yes. Haha, so your answer? "

"Okay," Alda responded, making Kayla jump out in happiness for a second.

"Yas! Yay! Oh, can I also bring that so-called daughter of mine? " Kayla asked.

"Of course, may I ask how old she is?" Alda asked back.

"She is nineteen years old and her name is Marsha," Kayla answered.

"Oh, okay then, but you have to control her on your way. I'm not going to baby sit her, "Alda mentions having a heavy expression like she is stressed about baby sitting an adult child that is owned by other people.

"Hahaha. Do you hate children? " Kayla asked, seeing Alda's heavy expression.

"No, I like kids and would love to have one in the near future with my girlfriend," Alda said, which made Kayla puzzled for a second and ask.

"Huh? Are you all right? How can you have kids? " Kayla mentions as she looks at Alda like she is scanning her body using her eyes, making Alda look straight at her. She already knew what Kayla meant by her words, and it meant that Alda was not a man, so how could she have a child with Yerre? Alda released a deep sigh and replied.

"I have a way."

Upon hearing Alda's answer, Kayla decided not to ask any further questions to Alda because she thinks this is a sensitive matter based on her reactions, even if she is curious.

"Oh, okay," Kayla responded.

"Yeah, anyway, I don't like baby sitting other people's children, that's all. It's such a hassle, "she answered, which made Kayla understand her side.

"Yeah, I understand what you mean. Don't worry, I had it under control, "Kayla responded, while she went over to Alda, hugging her in surprise because of the excitement and happiness she felt inside. Alda had taken back her actions and she pushed her away with no intention of offending her. Kayla looked at her confused.

Sorry, I didn't mean to push you in a harsh way. You got me surprised. I'm sorry, "Alda apologized.

"It's fine, it is my fault for hugging you out of nowhere because of the joy I felt," Kayla said, also apologizing to Alda. The room turned quiet for seconds, until Alda had formed a question in her mind again and asked her.

"So, if you've been here for so long, why didn't you go out and explore it? "

"Well, why don't we sit back on the couch first and talk? My feet are already tired from standing, "Kayla responded.

"Uh, right. I forgot, "

The two of them then went back to sitting on the separate couch, drinking some jasmine tea in each cup for a while, and starting their conversation again.

"Well, to tell you the truth, even though I am the author of this book, I still have imperfections in my brain," she mentioned, which made Alda puzzled and ask.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, I don't remember everything that I put in my book anymore." Kayla explained, making her words clear to Alda.

"Ooh, so that is why," Alda answered.

"Yeah,"

After their last conversation, the room turned harmoniously silent once again, but not until Alda remembered something was missing. She turned to look towards the bathroom inside the guest room, then remembered Sir Arnold was inside. She stood up from the couch and went to the bathroom door, knocked on it twice, and called out Sir Arnold's name. After she called his name, Sir Arnold opened the door and faced her with a relieved expression.

"Are you done talking to her?" he asked.

"Yes, you can go out now and sit on the other couch," Alda answered with a sincere smile. Sir Arnold nodded and they then went back to the couch. When they arrived, Kayla looked straight at Sir Arnold with a curious expression and asked him a question.

"You, may I know your name? I don't remember you being named by me, "she said, making Alda panic.

"Shush! What are you doing? " Alda asked nervously. Kayla looked at her puzzled. She did not know why Alda was panicking over her words.

"What? I only want to know his name," Kayla answered. Alda went over to her side and pulled her out of the couch as she then dragged her close to the window and whispered her answer into her ear.

"Are you crazy? Are you going to spread the information that we are not from this world? "

Kayla looked at her stunned for a second, then nodded as she understood Alda's nervousness over her words earlier and said.

"Oooh, I see, I see. So, can you tell me his name instead? Because I'm curious, you know. I don't remember creating him in my book, "

Alda sighed in relief as she answered Kayla's questions one by one, while Sir Arnold looked at them, feeling something weird and strange about their behavior.

"Sigh, okay. His name is Sir Arnold and I think he is an unknown character in your book. In short, he is an outcast. But because of Yerre and I changing the plot, he is now given a part and has become part of the story, "

"Ohh, I see." Kayla replied, surprised.

"Yes, now can you control your mouth and only ask questions related to this world? Okay? " Alda pleaded. Kayla looked at her with a smile and nod.

"Okay," she responded.

The two of them then sat back on their couch and once again enjoyed the tea that had been served to them and also the food. Alda looked at Sir Arnold, who looked at her with curious eyes and said.
