HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(FIRST TRIAL)

"Don't worry, I will bring Sir Aloit back to your side, Vendia,"

Yerre stopped her horse from moving and looked straight at him with wide eyes and a guilty expression. She opened her mouth but she couldn't utter a reply. So she closed her mouth, closed her eyes, breathed in the unfair feeling she felt inside, opened her eyes again, then looked away from Prince Adam and said.

"Lets go,"

'I'm sorry. Please forgive me for being mean and bitter towards you. I am just following what's best for all of us,' she thought, biting her lower lip upon feeling guilty and sorry for Prince Adam.

The day moves on like an open season. Alda and the others finally arrive back at Astrod land and enter the gate. She looked out the window and saw the busy street.

"As usual, the morning is cheerful," she said, making the two people inside feel curious. Marsha went closer to the window and also looked outside to see what Alda saw. Her yes formed a star as she felt excited about experiencing living on the improved land. Alda kept her eyes outside until she saw a familiar figure standing outside the art store with a man, six point five tall, who had an innocent vibe but a dominant aura.

Alda's heart started to beat in jealousy and her mind kept circulating things that made her possessive, and she gritted her teeth in anger. She formed her hands into a fist and punched the wall of the carriage, startling all the people present inside.

"Stop! The carriage! " She shouted in anger and the coachman stopped the carriage in haste. Kayla and Marsha look at her in worry upon seeing her angry expression and piercing eyes.

"Hey, ahem. I mean Lady Cathlen, what is wrong? " Kayla asked and Alda pointed her right index hand at the art store outside the window. Kayla stood up from the couch and looked outside to see where Alda's hand was pointing. She saw Lady Vendia with a tall, mesomorph man standing outside the art store holding the reins of their horse.

'Is Vendia!' She thought with a surprised face, but then she remembered something.

"No, that's Yerre!" She uttered it in a whisper. Then she understood.

"Mother, what did you see?" Marsha asked, also looking out the window. Kayla pulled her head back inside and they sat back on the couch. Alda looked at them, still angry and jealous. She held the carriage door knob and was about to go out to face the innocent people, but Kayla stopped her by holding her arms tight.

"Lady Cathlen, you must stay patient and low. Those people do not know who you are, "she mentions, with a word hinting to say that if she goes and confronts Yerre now, it will cause confusion and chaos. Alda grunted in anger as she understood what Kayla meant. She put her hand away from the carriage door knob and calmed herself to control her anger. Kayla sighed in relief and the captain of the knight arrived outside the carriage asking if everything was all right.

Alda breathed in and out as she calmed herself from thinking too much. When she felt that she was back in control of herself, she turned to face the knight outside the window and smiled.

"Yes, let's continue," Alda responded with a calm tone of voice. Marsha looked at them full of curiosity and confusion. She looked straight at her mother and asked.

"Mother? What is going on? Why did Lady Cathlen react like a mad woman a minute ago? "

Kayla looked back at her with a gentle smile, then answered.

"Nothing, Lady Cathlen is only tired,"

Marsha nods, but she knows there is something going on. However, she also doesn't want to be involved because she prefers to be out of the way of thinking about critical things. The carriage moves once again and they continue moving towards the Duke's residence location.

After hours, they arrived. The guards who were in charge of the entrance gate then signaled all the people inside upon Alda's arrival. The carriage stops in front of the entrance door of the Duke's mansion, then they all go out one by one. The knight gestured his hand for Alda to hold it as a guide upon going out of the carriage, but she rejected him again by saying.

"It's fine, you don't need to do that anymore. I know how to balance myself, "

The knight heard her words, then he immediately put away his hands, put them back at his side, and stood sturdy on the ground. Duchess Aerwen goes out of the entrance door along with the servants who started lining up to the side. To greet her upon arriving back home safe.

"Welcome back Lady Cathlen," the servant said in sync. Alda looked around the crowd and saw Angela with a glad expression. Alda gave out a sincere smile and nodded. Angela smiled back and vowed to her.

"My children. Mother misses you so much! " The Duchess Aerwen mentions as she went close to Alda and hugged her tight in her arms, which made Alda uncomfortable and feel suffocated for a second. The Duchess's action made Alda forget what she saw in the art store earlier for the time being. Despite having difficulties breathing, Alda still hugged her back and said.

"Y-yes. Thank you for greeting me back, mother. " Alda replied.

"Ca--can you adjust your embrace mother? I can't breath well, "Alda pleads with a struggling tone of voice. Upon hearing her breathless voice, Duchess Aerwen then let go fast of Alda and consults her in worry.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Are you okay? " Duchess Aerwen asked with full concern. Alda collected herself back to normal and answered with a sincere smile.

"Yes, I am a mother. Where is your father? "

Duchess Aerwen looked at her daughter with a smile, then answered.

"Oh, about that. Your father went to the kingdom to talk to the king about some matters concerning the other kingdoms and land. Why? "

"I see. Oh, I want to tell her that I brought Mrs. Tilda and her daughter Marsha with me, "Alda answered as she stepped aside to show the guest she brought along from Voldrone land. Duchesse Aerwen's eyes got surprised.

"It is nice to see you again, Duchess," Kayla greeted her with a warm smile.

"Greetings to you Duchess," Marsha also greeted her. Duchess Aerwen gave out a sweet smile and replied.

"It is nice to see you two again. It's been so long. Your daughter has grown into a beautiful and respectful woman, "

"Thank you, Duchess." Kayla responds as she vows to be Duchess Aerwen. After their greetings and welcoming gestures, Alda, along with the others, went inside the guest room. The Duchess Aerwen ordered some servants to bring them something to eat inside the guest room and they all settled on a separate couch.

Upon waiting for their refreshment and snack to arrive, the Duchess opens up a conversation by asking Alda why she brought Mrs. Tilda and Marsha along with her. Alda smiled at her then answered.

"I brought them along because I wanted them to see what kind of place Astrod land is, and also because I wanted to hire them both as my fortune tellers. I hope mother accepts my request,"

The Duchess looked shocked for a second, then replied. It is a good way to start the day.

"You want to hire Mrs. Tilda and her daughter as your fortune tellers?"

Alda nodded and Duchess Aerwen then turned to look at Mrs. Tilda with a worried expression.

"Mrs. Tilda, did you agree with her request?" The Duchess asked and she only nodded with a smile. The Duchess then looked back at Alda and thought through her request with a worried face. She was not worried about her request. She is worried about why she wants to hire two fortune tellers to her side. She is curious and concerned about her condition. She thought through her request for three seconds, and the room became quiet in the meantime, while the others were busy resting on the couch.

After so much thinking, the Duchess then started to open up a conversation again. Alda looked at her with wondering eyes as she saw her having an expression like she had a lot to say.

"Okay, I accept your request," Duchess Aerwen said with a smile to her daughter, but Alda felt like that smile still had something she wanted to speak out about. But she does not know what it is. She couldn't figure out what she was thinking. Then a memory from earlier when she saw Yerre in the art store with a guy who was wearing a Marquis Knight uniform flashed through her again, making her snap out of her controllable self and at ease state.

Her body started to tremble in anger again and she gritted her teeth from jealousy once again. Kayla felt a heavy feeling inside the room, then she turned to look at Alda, only to see her having an angry moment again. She sighed and called out to her.

"Lady Cathlen, the Duchess, has answered your request already,"
