HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(THE TALE OF RAIN)

But even though such things are happening to them, they still can't leave the Marquis. Even if the situation is heavy and unbearing, this was their home, the people who accepted them and gave them hope of living a normal life again. If they leave, where should they go? Even though they already have saved some money to help themselves. They all still couldn't find a purpose outside this residence. All they see is an empty and even road filled with uncertainty.

Even though they face a heavy task, they still find a reason behind it. They understand all the things their masters throw at them because they are all the same. All of them are suffering, because the person who gives light and life to their master is slowly fading away as days, weeks, and months pass. They all understand how their master must have felt.

It is heavy, it is breath-taking, it is suffocating and it is scary. So, no matter how challenging or hard it is, they must have patience and understanding at all times. They will remain beside their masters until the day they all die, sacrificing their lives for the people who take them in with no high expectations, only loyalty.

Madam Rose and Lord Marthen are now striding down the hallway side by side to go to their daughter's chamber. No one talks, they only focus their attention on the room until they arrive in front of the gigantic wooden door that has a stencil design. They went close and Lord Marthen opened the door for them to enter.

Upon entering inside, they then face a dark room that has only light coming from the moon outside. Madam Rose went over to the glass door of the balcony and opened the thick, long curtain to let the moonlight enter the chamber. After that, they then both sat on the bed beside their daughter. Lord Marthen looked at his daughter's peaceful expression when she was asleep, admiring it as he said.

"Look at our little princess. I can't believe she has grown so fast, "as he said those words, his hand was also reaching for his daughter's head. He stroked her hair and showed a warm smile. Madam Rose watched her husband as he caressed their daughter's hair and felt glad as she thought that she was a very lucky woman to have a warmhearted and kind husband. She chuckled and replied to her husband's words as she averted her eyes from their daughter.

Yerre's face has now dried up and nothing can be seen now as proof that she was crying and had a breakdown earlier. While Lady Vendia's parents are busy admiring and reminiscing about the past growth of their daughter, Yerre was slowly gaining consciousness and woke up, opening her eyes in snail motion.

Madam Rose saw that her daughter's eyes were open and couldn't help but feel happy upon seeing her already awake. She stopped her husband from talking and told him that their daughter was now awake. Lord Marthen looked down at his side and saw their daughter staring at them with a surprised expression. Yerre blink three times and sat up in a hurry on the bed as she saw Lady Vendia's parents sitting beside her on the bed.

"M-mother and father? Why are you both here? Is there something wrong? " She asked in haste. Lord Marthen saw his daughter's panic reaction and couldn't help but let out a light laugh.

"Aiya, nothing happened." Lord Marthen answered which made Yerre sigh in relief.

"We just miss you. That is why we are here in your room. Did we disturb your nap? " Madam Rose asked as she stroked her daughter's hair. Yerre was startled by her gentle gesture. She was not sobered by all the emotions she felt, even though sleep had taken over her body earlier. The feeling of heaviness and confusion still lingers inside her heart. But she received Madam Rose's gentle care with no intention of rejecting it.

Yerre smiled at them and said.

"That was a relief then and no, you two didn't disturb my nap. I dreamed of eating delicious foods and my mind started to think that I still hadn't eaten dinner yet. So I woke up because of it, "she answered with lies and fabricated words. Upon hearing her reply, Madam Rose couldn't help but stand up from her daughter's bed in haste to ring the call for Mary so she could bring some food inside the chamber. While she was at it, Lord Marthen was left alone to talk to his daughter.

Yerre looked straight at the glass door of the balcony. Her eyes seem to think of someone else and her expressions show that she is waiting for someone or something to arrive. Her thoughts lingered somewhere again, with no mind that Lady Vendia's father was still beside her. Lord Marthen saw her expression and couldn't help but ask.

"What is it?"

Yerre was jolted awake from her own world as she heard Lord Marthen speak out to her. She turned and looked straight at her with confused eyes.

"Huh? What do you mean father? "she asked for clarity on his question. Lord Marthen heaved a sigh and smiled at his daughter.

"Your mother and I have been seeing you under the weather lately. Is there something that is bothering you? "he responded. Yerre looked at him surprised and felt anxious as she thought, how come Lady Vendia's parents saw through her? Does she make it obvious? Was she showing off her emotions outside a lot? I thought I was hiding it very well, but it turned out to be the opposite.

Yerre sighed and showed a gentle smile to Lady Vendia's father.

"Father, you do not need to worry. I am fine, "she said, but Lord Marthen was not convinced. He looked at his daughter's eyes and replied.

"I wont force you to talk about what you feel with us, but I want you to know that we are always here. No matter what you feel these days, always remember that we are here. Understand? "

Yerre felt a heaviness in her heart upon hearing Lord Marthen's reply.

'Was those words meant for me? Or for Vendia, 'She thought she was feeling jealous and distressed. She looked back at Lord Marthen and smiled.

"En, I know your father. Thank you for reminding me, "she said and hugged him. Madam Rose goes back to their side and joins their hugging moment. They hug like a family for two seconds and then let go after hearing a knock on the door. Madam Rose stood up from the bed again and opened the door only to see Mary holding a bed table tray with food for her daughter.

She invited Mary inside and tell Yerre to go to her guest room where her table is to eat her dinner in a formal manner. Yerre then stood out from her bed and follow Mary inside the guest room. When they arrived Yerre then sat at the couch and wait for Mary to finish putting the food to the table.

Mary arranged the food on the table for three seconds, and after that, she went to the corner where a lamp was standing and hanging on the wall. To give more light inside the room. Once she was done, she then went back to the Yerre side, where she was already eating her dinner and asked.

"Do you need anything else, Miss?"

Yerre look at her as she munch her food inside her mouth and said.

"Can I have two slices of bread with ham, egg, lettuce, tomato, and beef meat inside?"

Mary looked at her surprised, thinking. This is the first time her miss requested such heavy food to eat at night. What could have happened?

"Um, Miss are you sure you want to eat the food you request just now? Is already night," Mary pause for a moment as she sigh in worry and continue.

"If you eat heavy foods at night, miss. You won't be able to sleep early, "Mary said, but Yerre did not care. She wants to eat heavy food and she wants to eat sweets too, but she only requests meaty foods because she knows that Mary would also complain about eating sweets at night being unhealthy.

'I don't care. I am stressed, I am sad and I am... sigh, ' She stopped her stubborn thoughts and replied to Mary.

"Yes, can you also fry a potato for me? I want some too, "

And this made Mary even more concerned and thought. Why does she want such heavy and oily foods? She never liked them, so why did she request the thing she hated before?

"Miss, you hate oily food, right? Why do you want to eat fried potatoes? Miss, are you okay? " Mary was worried. Yerre looked straight at her.
