HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(THE WORLD OF PERFECTION)

Alda stopped sobbing for a second, and looked straight at Kayla.

"Thank you," she said. Kayla broke their hug, while she showed a warm smile at her and nodded. She held Alda's hand entwined with hers and they walked out of the prophetic dream together.

Kayla recited a spell and a light appeared 1 meter away from where they were standing. The vision and image behind them then shattered like broken glass, and they entered the light that formed a door. They then vanished like a speck of dust and got back inside their bodies.

Kayla was the first one to wake up and straightened herself back into the chair. She looked at Alda and saw her still unconscious while sitting on the wooden chair. She looked over at Sir Arnold and saw that he was looking at her with an anxious expression. She smiled at him for a second and said.

"You all don't have to worry. She just lost consciousness because of how tired her body was from being stuck inside her dream. Come on, lay her down on the bed and let her rest for 30 minutes. She will wake up after that, "

Her words are simple and filled with truth, but she still can't seem to accept their trust in her that easily because she saw everyone looking at her with doubt and suspicion.

She can't help but give an uncomfortable smile and release a long sigh. Sir Arnold observed her behaviour for three seconds before he reacted to her words.

"What about you?" Sir Arnold asked. Kayla looked straight at him and saw him heading to their area. He bent over to Alda's side and carried her in a bridal style.

"I've rested enough. I just need to drink the herbal tea you guys made again and I will be fine, "Kayla answered and Sir Arnold nodded. He then turned his back away from her and strode over to the bed while carrying Alda.

On the other hand, Mr. Mong heard their conversation and immediately walked over to where he put the jar full of herbs and poured some into the stainless cup.

He then went back to Kayla's side and gave her the stainless cup that had herbal tea for her to drink. Kayla showed a grateful smile at Mr. Mong and thanked him. Mr. Mong then replied back with the same smile that Kayla had given him.

Sir Arnold was now lying with Alda on the bed, so she could rest comfortably and tuck her in with a soft blanket that was made of bear fur. His younger brothers are just looking at them and listening to all their conversations and movements, observing.

They didn't join in and interfere because they felt like they couldn't be of help and would only add to the chores, so they stayed put at their place and let the flow take place.

Sir Arnold called for Mr. Mong to check on Alda's condition, and he nodded before he went to their side. First, Mr. Mong helped Kayla stand up from her chair and sat beside Sir Arnold's younger brother, before he went over to Alda and checked her condition.

Because Kayla's body is still absorbing the herb she drank, her body is still gaining strength back to a normal state, which means her energy has not fully taken inflow back to her nerves and organs. She still needs guidance. Kayla didn't know how long the herbs would take effect, but she didn't care as long as her body condition got back to its correct corresponding place.

She can't afford to be sick and be weak. She needs to maintain her healthy state, because she has promised to help Alda. She also still wants to live long and happily inside her book, like a normal person. With no doubt that others linger around the place that she will explore, she still wants to seek experience to learn more about the true meaning of life.

Back in their world, she forgot to give herself worth and time because she was devoted to saving and giving an easy life to her parents and siblings. She gives all her time, years, and life to her family. But she didn't regret it. She was happy, but she was not contented, and she knew why. Through all the success, she forgot herself.

She forgot to search for her purpose and real calling in life. But here right now is going to be different. She will now balance everything and will manage everything according to her pace.

While everyone is busy, Sir Arnold and his brothers can't help but look over at Kayla. Their eyes were filled with intense curiosity, and Kayla felt it. She turned to her side and couldn't help but think that the people surrounding her right now were quite cute and very annoying sometimes.

She looked straight at them and said,

"What is it? You all can go ahead and ask, "Her voice is considerate and calm.

"Are you sure it is okay for us to ask you questions?" Kayla released a light laugh.

"You already asked, right? Come on, don't be concerned. Go ahead, I will be fine, "Kayla replied, and all of them nodded. They all then prepared themselves to ask questions one by one. For three seconds, the tent went quiet and the only thing you heard was the wolf howling and the wind that brings cold and chills through the night.

While waiting for their question, Kayla averted her gaze from them for a minute and looked over at Alda, who was sleeping in the bed.

Kayla thought, while she wore a gentle smile.

Mr. Mong had already checked up on her and said that nothing was wrong and that she would wake up later just like Kayla had told them a minute ago.

Sir Arnold, on the other hand, was now sitting on the wooden chair beside Alda, waiting for her to wake up.

After taking one more cup of the herbal flower, she fully regained her strength and energy. She now feels fully recovered and back to herself. She turned around and looked directly at the younger people with a gentle smile.

"Do you guys already have a prepared question?" She asked. They all nod.

"Can you really see the future and past?"

Ask June. His words made Kayla chuckle and release a light laugh. She couldn't help but notice this was their first question. She thought they would ask her about what happened to Alda first, but this was their first question. How unusual and funny.

"No," she answered. Speaking only the truth, she made them all shocked by her words.

"Bu-but, Lady Cathlen said that yo--yo--yo--" Mike stutters to finish his words. So Kayla finished it for him.

"That I can?" she asks. Then they all nod. Their eyes are filled with confidence and determination.

"Nah, I already told her the truth. I can only guess what other people's lives would be like and who would be their soulmate. I can also speak to ghosts and help them ascend to heaven, but I never once had such a strong capability as you say, "Her voice is calm and poised.

She didn't worry because all that she said to them is true. No lies can be traced, but she knows that they don't believe her words yet. She knows it very well and she understands it.

I mean, people had misunderstood who she really was and her true capability as a human being for a very long time.

Everyone at Voldrone Land had spread falls rumours about her for so long that everyone who visited them already knew about it.

But every single one of it was not true and she is here to prove it. She didn't want to be misunderstood for long by people who don't even have a clue about who she really was in this book.

It made her anxious and gave her headaches every time she came across that problem. She straightened herself in the chair and continued talking.

Everyone looked straight at her and some had doubts. They didn't know if they would believe her or not. They all turned quiet again, while just looking at Kayla as if she was a criminal or had committed a great sin, making her feel uncomfortable.

She can't help but release a deep sigh and speak out to all of them again.

"It's okay if you guys don't believe my words. If Lady Cathlen woke up, you could all ask her instead and confirm whether I am telling the truth or not,"

They did not respond; they just stared at her with the same expression, which made Kayla uncomfortable and displeased.

Sir Arnold was only staring and listening to all their conversation the whole time. He didn't join them because he didn't feel like joining them.

But when he saw Kayla's reaction to his younger brother's words, he couldn't help but step in and correct them.

He stood up in his chair and went over to his younger brother's side. Patting Jin's shoulder, making him flinch from receiving a surprise touch by his elder brother, which made the others aware of his presence behind them.

"Stop making her uncomfortable. If you all believe her words, then stop asking her questions. "His voice was calm, but the sturdiness and forceful tone of irritation couldn't be hidden.
