HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(SILENT HYMN)

Inside the carriage, silence rings. The only sound you will hear is from the horse galloping and wind. Vendia is sitting close to the carriage open window as she looks at every tree and many entertaining things through every place they get passed through while spacing out. She seems blue and does not want to be disturbed. While she keeps looking outside, someone is also looking at her in distress.

"Miss..." Mary calls out to her with an inaudible sound of the voice, wearing a concerned expression this whole time.

'Did she hear Sir Den and me talking earlier?' Mary thought, concern.

"Miss, are you thirsty? I can get water for you to drink," Mary tries to open a conversation with Vendia, but Vendia didn't seem to hear her calling because she seems distracted by her world. Mary felt more concerned for her, but she can't bring herself to interrupt her even further because she doesn't know what to do.

"Alda..." Yerre mumble with an indistinct sound of the voice as small tears skips on her left cheeks. Mary didn't see her crying because she was facing the left side of the carriage window.

'Alda, you are searching for me, right?'

"I'm sure she is," Yerre utter, battling to her mind and heart at the moment.

'She won't accept not being with me when we die. So, I'm sure she is also here inside this book, with me,' Yerre tried to convince herself not to worry so much.

"Alda... I'm scared. You are here inside this book with me, right?" Vendia, feeling insecure as she let her tears dried to her left cheeks, not wiping them away while hugging herself using both hands to stop her from breaking down in front of Mary.

"Miss?" Mary got worried upon seeing her with a distressed expression while hugging herself.

'Yerre... don't worry. When you all get back home, I will help you find your best friend Alda, so don't overthink so much, okay?' Vendia speaks inside her mind, calming her anxious thoughts down.

'Right, Vendia, you will help me, right?' Yerre asks inside her thoughts.

'Of course, so don't feel uncertain anymore, okay?'

'Okay, I must not cry. Alda hates seeing me cry, so I must not cry,' Yerre convincing herself to calm down and that everything will be all right.

'Good, don't be so overdramatic that is not my character at all,' Vendia complain.

'I'm sorry,' Yerre apologies, Vendia deep sigh upon hearing Yerre apologize to her.

"Yerre, you don't have to apologize to me. You did nothing wrong," Vendia mentions.

'Okay, are you following us?' Yerre ask.

'Yes,' Vendia answer, not denying it. Yerre felt worried because she didn't know that Venida is have been following them all this time.

'Are you okay?' Yerre consults her Vendia laughs at Yerre's concern.

'Hahaha, oh my God, Yerre. I'm a spirit. I won't get tired, don't worry, I'm fine,' Vendia replies.

'Right, I forgot,' Yerre respond.

'Yes, turned around now, you are making Mary worried about you so much,' Vendia mentions.

'Mary?' Yerre ask.

'Yes, have you forgotten? You are not alone inside the carriage,' Vendia reminded her.

'Oh, right? Yes, I forgot,' Yerre respond.

'Is okay, face her now,' Vendia demand.

'Okay,' Yerre reply.

'Show your smile to her once you calm down. Understand? Don't overthink things too much,' Vendia advice.

'Yes, I understand. Thank you, Vendia,' Yerre answers, thanking Vendia. Yerre calms herself first before facing Mary. After two minutes, she relaxed, then get back to her cheerful self. She turns around, smiling at Mary, who looks at her with a worried expression.

"Mary?" She looks at her, smiling.

"Miss, are you okay?" Mary responds, wearing the same expression.

"I'm fine. Why are you wearing a worried expression?" She wonders. Mary looks at her, thinking for a second, then smiles.

"Is nothing, Miss. Do you want some strawberries? Is your favorite right?" Mary asks, changing her mood back to her cheerful self, trying not to mind what she saw a minute ago.

"Yes, do we also have honey?"

"Yes, we have,"

"Then I want some honey too. I want to dip my strawberry in it," Vendia responds, and Mary sighs in relief upon seeing her get back to her usual cheerful self.

"Okay, Miss," Mary respond as she went to get what Vendia want on the right side of the gigantic carriage.

"Thank you, Mary," She mentions as Mary only nods at her.

-DUKE RESIDENCE-

*Cathlen Chamber*

Cathlen was having a relaxing time inside her chamber with Angela pouring some tea to her small size teacup when a knock interrupts them.

"I will get it, Miss," Angela mentions, and Cathlen nods. Angela stood from the couch and went to open the door and saw.

"Duchess," Angela mentions, surprised upon seeing Duchess Aerwen outside the door as she then vowed as a respects towards Duchess Aerwen.

"Where is Cathlen?" Duchess Aerwen asks.

"She is having her tea, Duchess," Angela answer, as Duchess nod.

"Okay," Duchess answer as Angela then opens the door wide for her, and Duchess enters Cathlen room. Cathlen saw her mother enter her room, so she put her teacup down to the table, stood up, fixed herself, and vowed to her mother.

"Mother," She calls.

"I see you are not busy," Duchess responds.

"Yes, what seems to be the problem?" Cathlen asks upon seeing her mother's serious expression. Duchess then lends the white envelope to her that has a golden seal from a royal family.

"This..." Cathlen looks at her mother clueless as she opens the envelope and reads what's inside of it. After she's done reading, she then looked at her mother with a displeased expression. The Duchess looked straight at her with a wondering face.

"So, what do you want to do with the King's request?" Duchess asks.

"The King wants me to become his son's partner. At his wife's death anniversary?" Cathlen mentions as she looks at her mother with an unpleasant expression.

"Yes, the King, don't know about you breaking the engagement yet, right?" Duchess mentions, and Cathlen nod with a deep sigh as she went to sit on her couch with her mother beside her.

"Yeah, okay, I will do it, but this is the last. After the death anniversary party end. Can we then tell the King about breaking the engagement?"

"Yes, don't worry. We will beside you at all times," Duchess mentions holding her daughter's right hand caressing it to fade Cathlen worried. Cathlen deep sigh then speak.

"I guess. I have to go to the prince palace later for dance practice with him," Cathlen mentions, and her mother looks at her, surprised.

"Dance practice?" Duchess asks.

"Yes, don't tell me you didn't read the whole thing inside, Mother," Cathlen answer with a surprised expression towards her mother.

"Uh... yeah, your right. I didn't, jeje," Duchess responds, embarrassed. Then Cathlen giggled a little at her mother's cuteness.

"Mother, can I bring Angela with me later?"

"Of course, you can. I also request to your father to give you five guards every time you get out at our mansion," Duchess mentions, and Cathlen felt stress.

'Ugh... that means I can't go out as I please then,' Cathlen thought, disappointed.

"Okay, that's great then, jeje," Cathlen respond, pretending to love her mother's ideas, but inside she is not happy about it even a little.

'Is fine, Angela can do the job for me,' Cathlen thought, continue forcing a smile in front of her mother.

On the other side of a place, Prince Adam is busy ordering his servants to prepare snacks and fresh beverages later for Cathlen when she arrived at his palace for dance practice.

-ASTROD KINGDOM-

"Your highness, everything is in place now. You do not need to worry. We will take it from here," Dev mentions.

"Okay, I leave you all to it then. I will go back to my chamber now to prepare," Prince Adam mentions, and Dev nods. Prince Adam then strides back to his chamber, and when he arrived inside, someone is already waiting for him.

"Sir Ken? Cousin..." He mentions surprised. He closed the door and went over to them.

"What happened? Why are you here, Ken? And cousin, why you wear such a serious expression," Prince Adam asks, anxious.

"Pft! Hahaha ha. Why a worried face? Ha?" Sir Albert mentions laughing at his cousin's concerned face. Prince Adam gives an unamused expression towards Sir Albert as a reply.

'Tsk! You are all wearing a serious expression. How can't I worried?' Prince Adam thought, annoyed.

"Your highness, I am here to tell you that Lady Cathlen is on her way to your palace now," Sir Ken inserted, and Prince Adam looks at him with a shocked expression.

"What? Why so early?"

"Is not early anymore, idiot. Is already afternoon, and besides, I know you're excited to see her, am I right?" Sir Albert mentions while he wears a smirk. Prince Adam saw it and gives an annoyed expression to him.

"What business you have to me? Why are you here, disturbing my day?" Prince Adam mentions complaining as Sir Albert then turned serious.

"Lady Vendia will arrive at Astrod land later tonight," Sir Albert mentions.

"What? But they left Astrod land recently, right?" Prince Adam replies, shocked.

"I know, and I feel like something happened that made them rush back home," Sir Albert mentions, serious while Sir Ken, only listening to them.

"What could have happened?" Prince Adam wonders.

"I don't know yet. My people also don't know the reason,"

"Did your people follow them in silence?"

"Yes, they do, and I receive the message from them early this morning. An eagle bird pass the message to me,"

"I see. Did you already reply to your people?" Prince Adam asks.

"Yes, I did, they will receive my message at dawn,"

"I see, that's good. Your people do capable of doing dangerous things," Prince Adam praises Sir Albert's people.

"I know, right?" Sir Albert replies, winking, then smirks at his cousin. Prince Adam then senses something wrong with Sir Albert's words as he felt a little offended by his response.

"What? Are you looking down at my people right now?" Prince Adam asks, irritated.

"You are the one who said that. Not me," Sir Albert responds, and Prince Adam deep sighs.

"Whatever, what will you do when they arrived back here? What is your plan?"

"Don't worry. I got it. You enjoy your day with Cathlen and maybe talk to her about your engagement after. I will handle the situation about Lady Vendia and Sir Ken. I want you to stay only to Cathlen side so we can distract the King's eyes," Sir Albert proposes as the two people then nod.
