HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(UNDERCOVER SCENT)

Michael and his other subordinates are now riding to get back to Alfendra Land.

"How come Lord Albert know that Lady Vendia's favorite fruit is strawberry?" Clark asks out of nowhere as he rides his horse close to Sir Michael.

"I ask him the same question an hour ago too," Sir Michael responds.

"Then what is his answer?" Vin joins in as Sir Michael looks at them in deep thought, thinking back to the scenario that happened an hour ago inside the art store.

"My Lord, before I go. May I ask you something?" Sir Michael asks.

"Yes, go ahead," Sir Albert permits as Sir Michael then nods, proceeding to his question.

"How did you know that Lady Vendia's favorite fruit is strawberry?"

"Well, I'm her friend's such common detail, is simple to remember," Sir Albert answer as Sir Michael then understands what Sir Albert means. After two minutes, he bid goodbye to him again and went out to the art store to meet his other subordinates.

"Sir Michael?" Vin calls out of him, bringing him back to his usual self as he deep sighs.

"Well, he said that Lady Vendia is his friend, so minding such simple detail is no hassle," Sir Michael answers their question.

"Oh," Clark and Vin reply in sync, and the ride going through the Alfendra land gets quiet again.

Back at the Marquis residence, Sir Aloit is still at the servant's quarter, striding through the hallway, then stops into someone else door and knocks on it.

Knock

"Mary is me," Sir Aloit mentions as the door then opens, and he went inside in pace.

"Sir Aloit, how is your conversation with Sir Sebi? Did you tell him what happened to me?" Mary asks.

"No, I didn't. I only said the part where Vendia collapsed and the part where you, dispatching the physician. He didn't know that you made a mistake," Sir Aloit respond as Mary looks at him in relief.

"But, you will tell everything to Lord Marthen and Madam Rose, right?" Mary asks.

"Yes, don't worry, they will understand as long as this won't leak out to Lady Vendia, understand?" Sir Aloit mentions as Mary nod understanding what he means.

"Yes, I understand. But, what about the man that I fought back to the Voldrone land? Are you certain you know who it was?" Mary asks, curious.

"I am suspecting someone, but I am still uncertain. Tomorrow I will head to where that person stays to confirm it myself," Sir Aloit responds.

"Okay,"

Two days before they went back to the Astrod Land, a problem occurred. Vendia went on an emergency issue back to the Voldrone land, and Mary hurried on, finding a physician with Sir Den. After they find one, they then hurried back to the Marquis small mansion as the physician then checks on her.

While the physician tends Vendia, Sir Aloit looks towards Mary and mouthed something.

[Clean him after,]

Mary nod understands what Sir Aloit means for her to do after. Sir Aloit turned back to look at the physician, then ask the physician.

"How is she?"

"She is stable now, but she still needs to rest," The Physician reply, Sir Aloit deep sighs upon hearing that Vendia is fine now.

"Thank you," Sir Aloit thank him.

"Your welcome. I better go now. I still have another patient to look after too," The physician mentions as Sir Aloit nod then look towards Mary with a plain face.

"Mary, escort him outside," Sir Aloit demands as Mary then nods, guiding the physician outside the mansion.

"Let me take you home, Sir," Mary proposes as they arrived outside the mansion.

"Oh, no, thank you. I don't want to bother you. I walk back to town instead," The physician answer, but Mary insisted because she needs to do what Sir Aloit wants her to do.

"Oh, is okay, Sir, you won't bother me at all," Mary mentions giving a gentle smile to the physician.

"How kind of you, okay. I'll accept your offer," The physician responds as Mary sigh in relief while she gives the same smile to the middle age physician but inside, she felt sad for him because later on, this person in front of her will be dead.

"Okay, I'll get our coachman for a while. Wait here for us, Sir," Mary mentions as the physician nod at her, then she went to fetch Sir Den. When she arrived at where Sir Den is Mary, then talks to him.

"Sir Den, can I borrow the carriage for a while?" Mary asks as Sir Den looks at her buffering.

"Ha? Why? For what?"

"I have something to buy for Lady Vendia to the town, and I want to buy it myself, don't worry. I will bring back the carriage complete," Sir Den looks at Mary for a second, thinking.

"Why not I join you instead?" Sir Den asks.

"No, there's no need. I know you're tired already. I'll be fast, don't worry," Mary answer as Sir Den deep sighs, then nod, permitting her to use the carriage herself.

"Okay, but don't be too long, understand? Is getting late you know," Sir Den mentions as Mary nod and smile at him.

"Go now," Sir Den added as Mary then went to the carriage and ride away with it. After two minutes, she then arrived in front of the physician and smile.

"Hop on, Sir," Mary calls as the physician then hops in as he sat beside her outside the carriage.

"Oh, where is the coachman?" The middle-aged physician asks.

"Oh, he's already asleep, and I don't want to bother him, so I borrowed this instead," Mary answer as the physician nod at her.

"Is good that you know how to ride a carriage," The physician mentions.

"Yes, um, Sir? Can I you ask you something?" Mary asks for permission.

"Go ahead," The physician permitted.

"Do you have a family, Sir?" Mary asks.

"No, I've been alone my whole life. My whole relatives and my parents all die because of an incurable illness," The physician answer.

"Uh... is that why you become a physician, Sir?" Mary asks, speculating.

"Your right. I want to cure people with my capability for free. Money and wealth are not my things. If my customer pays me, I will take it. But I spend it to buy new things and medicine for my patient to use. For me, the most important thing in life is saving people's lives and giving them another chance to live once again," The physician answer as Mary felt her heart clench in pain upon hearing the physician's sincere and heartwarming response.

Mary holds the reins tight as she felt sorry for the physician because later on. When they arrived at the secluded path to the town, she will then kill him.

'I'm sorry, Sir,' Mary thought.

"Your such a kindhearted person, May I know your name Sir?" Mary asks as the physician smiles at him then answers.

"My name is Alfredo,"

"That's a powerful name, Sir. No wonder you have a strong heart to save and fix people," Mary responds.

"Thank you," Sir Alfredo thanks her as she then stops the horse from running because they are now inside the secluded path to the town.

"Your welcome, Sir Alfredo, and also I'm sorry, but I have to do this for the safety of my miss and the Marquis. Please forgive me," Mary mentions as Sir Alfredo looks at her buffering while Mary gets something inside her waist and is a kitchen knife. Sir Alfredo then looks at her with eyes wide open, afraid.

"I'm sorry, please forgive me," Mary mentions as she gets close to Sir Alfredo.

"What are you going to d-" Before Sir Alfredo can finish his sentence, Mary already uses the knife to cut through his neck, and he's gone. Mary closed her eyes for a minute, deep sighing as her breath release a trembling sound, feeling guilt upon killing such a kindhearted man. After two seconds, she then opens her eyes again only to see that someone is in front of her wearing an assassin cloth. She got startled and surprised.

'What?' Mary gets on guard as she stood up from the carriage.

"Who are you!" Mary asks within her panic voice.

"I am nobody who will take that poor man's body with me," The person who wears the assassin cloth reply with a deep man's voice. Mary's right brow flinches as she looks at the man full of curiosity.

"You said you're a nobody, then why are you interfering in other people's business!" Mary shouted as she jumped down to the carriage and started fighting the man who wears an assassin cloth. The man blocked her every move and attack until Mary saw the opening. She went to stab the man to his stomach, but she fails because the man moves fast and she's now locked to him.
