HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(COST OF CHANGE)

"Si-sir-guh… ug-" Sir Albert looks at Sir Aloit with teary and pleading eyes as he forces himself to breathe while keep pushing Sir Aloit's firm hands away from his neck using both of his hand who is now don't even have a strength.

Sir Albert can't kick or fight back to Sir Aloit because there's a desk between them, covering him from fighting back to Sir Aloit. Also, if he fights back is useless because Sir Aloit's grip on his neck tight. If he moves even an inch, Sir Aloit might twist his neck, which causes him to lose his life for sure.

Sir Aloit continues to give a bitter expression to him, not caring if he struggles or having a hard time, while Sir Albert looks like he's going to lose his life for sure if Sir Aloit won't loosen up his grip and let go of him right now. Sir Aloit saw this, and his right brow twitch.

"Si-sir… uh-le-talk-fir-guh," Sir Albert blurt out a struggling response as Sir Aloit continues giving him a haughty expression.

'I can't afford to lose my only lead. Let's calm down,' Sir Aloit thought as he heaves a sigh, then let go of Sir Albert's neck and shoved him away to the side like a light object. Sir Albert hisses in pain as he slammed into a wall hard, coughing and shivering from pain.

Cough

Sir Albert cough for one minute, then stood up, wiping his tears while still catching his breath as he looks at Sir Aloit with a weak expression.

"Ho-how did you know I hire someone to follow you all to Voldrone land," Sir Albert admits as Sir Aloit releases a trembling sigh looking at Sir Alberts with a fierce expression, his blood boiled again, he unsheathed his sword pointing it at Sir Albert's neck.

"So I was right," Sir Aloit respond as Sir Albert stand in front of him with no sign of fear.

"I only hire my people to keep Lady Vendia safe and nothing more," Sir Albert spoke his reason within his panting breath.

"Then give me back the dead body of the physician," Sir Aloit mentions with a frown as Sir Albert looks at him confused for a second, then gets stunned, forgetting that he's still catching his breath.

"I SAID GIVE ME THE DEAD PHYSICIAN BODY BACK THIS INSTANT!" Sir Aloit added with a raised voice full of anger.

"Wh-what are you saying right now? What is?" Sir Albert looks at him, clueless, can't understand what Sir Aloit is talking about,

"Are you playing dumb right now? Do you think I will buy that clueless expression of yours?" Sir Aloit scoff.

"Wait, Sir Aloit, I don't know what you are talking about right now. I don't have an idea," Sir Albert pursues his side with a forceful expression.

"Ha! Don't pretend clean here. You're the only person who knew that we are going somewhere, and you admit it yourself that you hire someone to follow where we are heading. Now tell me, what is your other excuse, ha? Tell me!" Sir Aloit recites his conclusion as Sir Albert looks straight at him with a troubled expression doesn't know what to say because he is so confused and lightheaded at the situation that's so sudden, he didn't have time to react.

"I thought you are Vendia staunch friends. She trusted you! Why you're like this to her," Sir Aloit mentions, disappointed at Sir Albert.

"I am his friend!" Sir Albert defend himself, raising his voice from irritation.

"THEN GIVE ME THE PHYSICIAN DEAD BODY BACK!" Sir Aloit force demand.

"How many times do I have to tell you? I don't have it! Whatever you are bubbling, about I'm not connected to it. I only hire my people to follow you all for your all safety because the king people are on the watch for Prince Adam, and they might also plant eyes to Lady Vendia," Sir Albert mentions within his pant, annoyed.

"Why would the King plant eyes on Vendia? What kind of excuse are you making right now?" Sir Aloit asks, pissed off, still doubts Sir Albert.

"I'm not making excuses. I am stating my side! And I am saying this because the king already found out about what happened to Lady Vendia," Sir Albert shouts, irritated by the situation he was in right now because he got accused of something he didn't do.

"What?... which part did he know," Sir Aloit asks as he puts down his sword and looks at Sir Albert, anxious. Sir Albert sigh, calming himself first before explaining things further.

"He knows the part when Prince Adam abducts Lady Vendia without proof because Lady Cathlen had gone missing," Sir Albert answer as Sir Aloit looks at him, sweating from nervousness.

"What... are you sure?" Sir Aloit asks.

"Fuck! Why you still doubt me? I already explain why I hire my people to follow you all," Sir Albert asks in between his pissed voice.

"Why can't I! You were the one who sends people to spy on us," Sir Aloit responds as Sir Albert had enough and punch the desk in front of him, releasing a trembling breath of anger.

"How many times do I have to tell you I only do it because I'm worried something bad might happen to all of you? Are you even listening to every word I say?" Sir Albert raises his head, wearing an angry expression as Sir Aloit only looks at him with a pressing expression.

"I did! But my heart and mind still doubting you," Sir Aloit answer as Sir Albert deep sigh.

"I told you is not me," Sir Albert, still defending his side.

"Then tell me how to trust you. You were the one who sends people to monitor us, and you were the only one who knew that we are leaving Astrod land for five days. Tell me, how could I not doubt you?" Sir Aloit reply.

"Fuck! I don't know! Why do you keep repeating your words over and over again is irritating!" Sir Albert responds with a raising voice from stress as he keeps pacing back and forth in front of his front desk, thinking while biting his index nails from nervousness. Sir Aloit only looks at Sir Albert with a troubled expression, then heaves a deep sigh.

"Ha... okay enough! Stop pacing back and forth. Let's do it like this, tell me what clothes did your people wear, because Mary said that the person she fought that nightwear an assassin uniform," Sir Aloit mentions as Sir Albert stops pacing and looks at him, surprised.

"Mary know how to fight?" Sir Albert asks.

"Don't change the subject. I am finding a way not to doubt you here," Sir Aloit mentions, with a deep sigh.

"Sorry," Sir Albert apologizes.

"So your answer?" Sir Aloit asks, impatient.

"You said that the person whom Mary fought that night wears an assassin uniform?" Sir Albert asks with wondering eyes.

"Yes,"

"But my people only wear commoner clothes so they can blend in with other people and won't cause suspicions," Sir Albert mentions as Sir Aloit then looks at him with a surprised expression.

"What? Then, who..." Sir Aloit looks at Sir Albert, thinking.

"You said that the person whom Mary fought that nightwear an assassin uniform?"

"Yes, why you ask the same question again," Sir Aloit answer irritated as Sir Albert.

"You also keep repeating your words an hour ago, so why can't I?" Sir Albert defends.

"Now you know how it felt," Sir Albert added, smirking.

"Tsk!" Sir Aloit only scoffs at him as Sir Albert chuckled, then joins Sir Aloit's deep thinking session.

"Hmm... what other things you have there," Sir Albert asks, finding clues.

"What? What do you mean other things," Sir Aloit asks as he looks at Sir Albert, wearing a confused face.

"Hem… what are other things that Mary notice to the person she fought,"

"She said that the person she fought is a man," Sir Aloit answer.

"Okay, and then?" Sir Albert asks for further more information.

"And then, what?" Sir Aloit scorn at him as Sir Albert sigh.

"What are the other things you guys have gathered other than the assassin is a man," Sir Albert clears his question.

"She said that before the man takes the physician's dead body away, he said that Mary had killed a variable person to their kingdom," Sir Aloit answers as Sir Albert then looks at him, serious.

"Variable ha... what is the physician's name?" Sir Albert asks, listing down all the details of the notebook he has in front of his desk.

"His name is Alfredo," Sir Aloit answers as Sir Albert stops writing, then looks at Sir Aloit, speechless because he already knows who the person whom Mary fought back at the Voldrone land.

"A-alfredo?" Sir Albert asks, stuttering with sweat forming on his forehead because of nervousness.

"Yes, Mary said that is his name. Why? Do you know him by chance?" Sir Aloit ask and Sir Albert nod.

"Yes," Sir Albert answer without a second with an anxious expression.
