HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINES

(PRICE OF HAPPINESS)

"Oh, that's good then, but wait, how come you know him?" Sir Aloit asks.

"I know him because he is the trusted physician of the Queen," Sir Albert answer.

"The Queen?"

"Yes, my cousin mother," Sir Albert responds as Sir Aloit looks at him, stunned, seeing that he can't talk for a while. Sir Albert continues talking.

"His the Queen Physician. But when the Queen dies, he then becomes a wandering physician from the Astrod kingdom. However, after one year passed, the king called him back to his palace and appointed him to be his trusted physician, the physician agreed, but he requests a bit of freedom from the king," Sir Albert continue talking as Sir Aloit listens to him.

"And that freedom is to wander and help other people who are in need and feeble to support their family. Every month he visits Voldrone land to attend to the people. Who doesn't have money to buy medicine and cure their illness for free," Sir Albert answer as Sir Aloit heart stops for a second while he feels chills run down through his spine, upon knowing that the person they dispatch that night is a trusted physician of King Phantrel.

"What... how can you be so sure that he is the King Physician," Sir Aloit asks for assurance.

"Some people have a named Alfredo too. How can you be so sure that he is the one that Mary dispatch that night," Sir Aloit added, still pursues his doubt.

"Simple, the person who Mary fought back at the Voldrone land is from the King shadow. His name is Kurt, the person in charge of watching and protecting Sir Alfredo wherever he goes," Sir Albert mentions.

"What? How come you know so much about..." Sir Aloit stops his sentence as he looks straight at Sir Albert, nervous.

"Do I need to answer?" Sir Albert grin at him.

"S-so you mean to say that the one who has Sir Alfredo's dead body is the King," Sir Aloit mentions.

"Yes," Sir Albert answer confirming it as Sir Aloit look at him, horrified and worried.

"What have I done..." Sir Aloit utter as his body falls to the floor like paper. Sir Albert then rash over to him and help him up.

"Don't worry, I will help you solve this problem," Sir Albert mentions making Sir Aloit look at him for a second, thinking after it. Sir Aloit then gather himself back as he stood straight and relaxed, sighing in relief.

"Let's get inside my office and talk first," Sir Albert added, giving assurance to Sir Aloit as he smiles.

"But, what about your store?"

"Easy, can you flip the signboard to the entrance door?" Sir Albert demand, as Sir Aloit then look over to the entrance door and saw a signboard hanging on the door.

"This one?" Sir Aloit asks.

"Yes, that one. After that lock, the door," Sir Albert responds as he went inside his office first while Sir Aloit flips the signboard and locks the door.

"Stop being so tense, relaxed. Everything will be all right," Sir Albert mentions as Sir Aloit looks at them with a tired face.

"How can I not be tense?" Sir Aloit asks, within his irritated tone.

"I told you. I will help you, right?" Sir Albert responds as Sir Aloit sigh.

"All right, what's your plan?" Sir Aloit asks.

"To confront the king, of course," Sir Albert answer, which made Sir Aloit jump out on his chair in shock.

"WHAT? Are you out of your mind?" Sir Aloit respond.

"No, I am still in my mind right now," Sir Albert reply, smiling at him.

"You! Do you think this is a light matter?" Sir Aloit felt exasperated.

"Relaxed, I am only making you feel at ease," Sir Albert responds.

"Hemp!" Sir Aloit reply as he sits back in his chair, deep sighing. Sir Albert smiles and talks again.

"Is no use if we sneak inside the king's palace to find the Physician's body because the king already knows that someone will come to retrieve the Physician's body. If we snuck inside, the only thing that awaits for us is a trap and death. So the only way is to confront him," Sir Albert explains.

"Your right, but how can we confront him. He will not give the Physician's body with us that easy. You know that, right?"

"Yes, I know, and we won't confront him because we are going to take the physician's body with us,"

"What? Then, what?"

"We are going to confront him for you to explain what happened and apologies. So that everything will be in harmony again, understand?" Sir Albert mentions as Sir Aloit looks at him dumbfounded.

"What? Are you crazy? Do you think the king would forgive the person who kills his people that easy?" Sir Aloit asks.

"Will no, but you have a reason for killing Sir Alfredo, right?" Sir Albert responds with a question.

"Yes," Sir Aloit answer.

"Well, then there's nothing to worry about," Sir Albert reply.

"But still! What if he finds my reason unreasonable? What if he asks for an exchange?" Sir Aloit asks, concern.

"What? Like a trade thing?"

"Stop making fun of the serious situation. Aren't you worried about, Vendia?" Sir Aloit brings Vendia into a subject again, making Sir Albert look straight at him with a frown.

"If the king wants something in exchange. I will assure you that whatever it is, I will never let him have it," Sir Albert responds with a demanding tone of voice as he looks straight at Sir Aloit.

"We-well, where do you plan to confront him," Sir Aloit asks, stuttering upon feeling chills all over his body from hearing Sir Albert's tone of voice a second ago. Sir Albert deep sigh and reply to him.

"Today is not the right time, and you know why," Sir Albert mentions.

"Yes, is the Queen, death anniversary banquet," Sir Aloit respond, thinking.

"We can confront him tomorrow," Sir Albert mentions as Sir Aloit sigh then nod.

"For now, let's enjoy the party with caution. You must not leave Lady Vendia's side, and I will also monitor inside. Relax while doing it, don't look so serious, or else you will cause suspicions, understand?" Sir Albert added, instructing Sir Aloit.

"Mn," Sir Aloit respond.

"Now go back, or else I won't be earning any money today," Sir Albert mentions as he grins at Sir Aloit.

"Thank you, see you later," Sir Aloit respond as he stood out from his chair. Then went out to Sir Albert's office and art store. Sir Albert then deep sigh, holding his head using his left hand, stress.

"Haaa, another problem, I guess no rest for now," Sir Albert mentions as he stood up to his chair, then opens his store once again.

On the other location, Vendia, Mary, and her parents are now inside the Dress Shop. After they arrived, they then search for her dress to wear to a party later tonight. When they found one, her parents and Mary then sit in a waiting area. When she goes out, her parents and Mary then look at her with a surprised expression.

"Mother, I think this one is extravagant," Vendia complain, not liking the design of the dress she is wearing right now. But her parents' expression is saying satisfaction. She is wearing a long sleeve vintage dress with a beaded high neckline, gold beaded lace appliques, chapel train, and built-in bra.

"Oh, you look stunning, like an angel on that dress, sweet-heart. So innocent and spring looking," Lord Marthen speaks out his thought about the first dress his daughter wears.

"Your father is right!" Madam Rose agreed to her husband's words. While she only looks at her parents with uneasy expressions. She is still not used to receiving compliments.

"Uh... okay," The only words Vendia can speak out as the dressmaker escort her inside the dressing room again to change into another dress. After two minutes, she then went out and showed the dress design to her parents and Mary. The second dress she wears is a ball gown with sequins off-shoulder appliques floor with dark blue flower designs.

"Oh, Miss... you look so..." Mary covers her mouth from surprise upon seeing Vendia looking like a flower in her second dress.

"My daughter," Madam Rose sobs upon seeing her daughter grow into such a beautiful woman.

"Dear, why are you crying. You are making our daughter worry," Lord Marthen mentions as he caresses the back of his wife to calm her down from crying.

"Uh... I think. I should change into another dress," Vendia utter as she hurried back inside the dressing room with the dressmaker, then change into another designed dress. The third dress she wore is a crystal evening ball gown dress. She looks at herself in the long mirror and smiles.

"I look different," She utter as the dressmaker look at her then giggled.

"You don't look different. That is the real you in the mirror," The dressmaker said, making Vendia smile faded.

'The real me?' Yerre thought while looking at the mirror.
