HOTD: Legacy

A/N: I finally completed my Fairy Tail fanfic so from now on I will be able to give my full attention to this one.

Nick: You are one ugly motherf.u.c.ker...

It was a beast plain and simple and nothing else, Nick wasn't even sure if he could call it a beast or not. Because it wasn't alive, it was still a freaking undead. It looked inhuman, exposed brain, long nails like claws, and a tongue, a huge tongue which could satisfy many women at once with its licking skills. Nick didn't even know how that stupid idea of classifying the tongue like that came to mind but it is what it is.

Kohta: Uhmm... is it an alien?

Kohta was the first one to break the silence, then again silence continued. Nick didn't know how to answer that since once Soichiro here knew what Nick truly was, so he can't go on and say that this thing is another undead because it doesn't have a soul.

Nick: I don't think that this an alien... Aliens won't come to this godforsaken apocalyptic world.

Nick immediately ripped apart the head from the body killing it in an instant.

Soichiro: I don't think that we have ever encountered anything like this...

Nick: No... this is the first time... so we need to name it. I vote for Licker.

No one disagreed with Nick, they also saw the long tongue and gulped hard. The man who was about to be grabbed by this thing gulped twice. He had no idea what he would do if this thing with the huge tongue caught him. Nick didn't wait and threw the body outside the armory and didn't look back.

Nick: Everyone, continue please... the sooner we leave this place the sooner we will be able to return to our base.

Everyone nodded their head in understanding and returned to their work while Nick lit up another cigarette. Nobody minded that Nick didn't work since they knew that Nick wasn't staying guard was the best. Someone except him would have never expected something like that beast called Licker. The beast was quiet and silent waiting for the right moment to strike.

Soon all the weapons and bullets were sorted. This base also has bullet assembly lines for 5.56 and 7.76 mm bullets. They were in a different place according to Rika so those have to wait for later. Nick took the list made by Kohta and skimmed through it.

Nick gave the list to Soichiro and stored everything in his storage space after that Rika took them to the warehouse where all the food was being kept. The entered the room and found that everything was still fine, almost everything. Some vegetables have gone bad which was stored in the next compartment.

Nick asked everyone to bring out everything from the warehouse and leave the rotten things inside. The men followed the orders and quickly did what they were asked to do. Nick stood outside along with Rika who was telling him where they were going to go next. After almost thirty minutes Saeko also came and stood outside with Nick while Rika was also helping with moving the stuff.

Nick handed Saeko a cigarette because he knew what she wanted. Saeko lit up the cigarette and released a sigh.

Nick: How many zombies were there?

Saeko's cheeks turned red, Nick didn't know what did he ask which made Saeko blush like this.

Saeko: I was very excited after the fight and you weren't there... so, I have to help myself.

Nick didn't know whether to laugh or cry, Saeko looked so cute when she said that and turned away her face from Nick in embarrassment. Nick just raised his hand and started to pat Saeko's head which made her happy. Nick could clearly see that, Nick has spent a lot of days with her to know that.

Nick: I didn't know that you were so shy... after you all those things on the bed.

Saeko: That and this are different...

Nick: Care to tell me how??

Saeko: That I do with you, my husband, and this I did behind your back.

Nick now understood what was bothering Saeko, Saeko was a traditional woman and unlike him, she wasn't that open-minded about relieving themselves. Nick continued to pat her head.

Nick: I don't mind that you did that...

After that Nick had to spend some time coaxing her that it was alright and he didn't mind that. He told her that doing that was natural and everything. After sometime Saeko nodded in understanding and this time genuinely became happy.

A couple of hours passed and all the ration was brought outside. The amount was so huge that they won't need to do another raid after this. Nick stored everything inside his storage space and went to the next place where the bullet assembly was being kept. Nick stored them too. Saeko continued to kill any zombies that she saw, after she joined the all the men were also relaxed.

After getting the bullet assembly Rika took them to the biggest warehouse and it was outside the main building. As soon as the exited the building they met a sight of several headless zombies. All of these were once army personnel. Saeko had killed all of them before coming inside. Nick ripped apart the huge door of the warehouse and everyone gawked at the sight they found inside.

Nick: It was worth it... check each and every vehicle.

All of the men were brought out of their stupor after Nick spoke. Rika had a smug look on her face. Nick asked Rika to tell him the names of these vehicles which she happily did. Nick knew those common humvess with 50 cals so he left them out. He also wasn't interested in those army trucks. He was only interested in those tanks.

Rika: Those five are STB-1 type tanks and those five are the type-74 tanks. Those seven are the APC Type-96 armored personnel carrier.

Nick was really happy with this haul, he was really really happy. After some time the mechanics checked the vehicles and came to report to Nick.

Nick: What are their status?

Mechanic1: We can fix them... they were only damaged by that blast which fried all those electrical parts inside.

Rika: Told you so...!!

Nick didn't want to fix these vehicles here because it was getting late. They wanted to return to their base as soon as possible. All of the men were tired since they had to carry all those rations. Nick went towards the vehicles and stored all of them inside his Storage Space. After that, they decided to call it a day, even if the S.T.A.R.S. base was close they decided to raid that later since they had enough weapon for now at least.

All of them headed towards the vehicles and boarded the car and decided to return. It took them almost the same time it took them to come here. Nick told Saeko about the newest zombie they found and he could clearly see the excitement in her eyes. They returned to the base when it was almost evening and Nick went to the parking lot and took out all those vehicles. The mechanics and Rika were tired too so they decided to start fixing them from tomorrow. Nick handed all the weapons to Shion since Yuriko gave her the responsibility to manage weapons.

Yuriko asked Nick to keep the food in his storage for now since they didn't have that much space to store so much food. Nick nodded in understanding and Yuriko decided to have a feast today for the successful raid. According to her, it was needed to raise the morale of the survivors since normal holidays and festivals don't mean much.

They feast took place everyone forgot all their grievances and enjoyed the night. The men who participated in the raid were the ones who enjoyed the most since everyone was thanking them and it made them proud. When it was already late Nick decided to call it a day and headed towards his room along with his wives, all wives meaning Shion too.
