As it was, we finished our afternoon classes and left for school together.

“You have a lot of girl ‘friends’, don’t you?”

“Well, the calligraphy club is a female territory.”

“Hmm, I see. I see.”

Sara had a sulking look on her face for some reason.

“Are you angry about something?”

“No, I’m not angry.” (TLN: Yeah she is dude coz of your ‘gfs’.)

She turned her head to look the other way.

The mind of a woman was a difficult thing to understand.

“Is that so? That’s fine. Well, what do you want for dinner?”

“Dinner, huh?”

“After you get home and relax a bit, it’ll be time for dinner, right?”

“Indeed, yes.”

I always ate dinner after 6pm.

When I was alone, I would just eat at a convenience store or a noodle shop; but now that Sara was with me, it wouldn’t be so easy.

“We can eat out, or stop by the supermarket and I can cook at home.”

“That’s right. Since it will be a burden on Nii-San to cook, let’s eat out today.”

“Thanks a lot. Anyway, let’s go home.”

“Hai!”

The two of us walked side by side all the way home.

After a few minutes of idle chatter, we arrived at our house.

“Oh, sorry. I forgot to give this to you. This is our house key.”

As I was saying that, I also took out a duplicate key from my pocket and handed it to Sara.

“Oh, thank you very much.”

“Oh, we can’t always get to come home together, you know.”

“Yes, that’s right …”

Sara had a slightly lonely expression on her face.

“Sara? What’s wrong?”

”No, no, nothing.”

I opened the front door with my own key and let Sara in first.

“I’m going to change.”

“Okay, I’ll change too.”

Then we went into our own rooms.

“Well…”

I took off my blazer and shirt and riffled through my closet.

In the end, I decided on a navy blue shirt and a pair of gray skinny pants.

I usually wore darker shirts.

After I finished changing, I went downstairs and headed for the living room.

“Is Sara dome yet?”

Since she was a girl, it must have taken her a long time to get dressed.

I sat down on the living room sofa and turned on the TV.

“Sorry to keep you waiting, Nii-San.”

“Oh, don’t worry about it.”

I turned around and saw Sara standing there. She was wearing a loose-fitting dress in light pink.

I couldn’t help but admire her figure.

“Nii-San? Do I look weird?”

Sarah gave me a worried look.

“No, no, you look lovely. It looks great on you.”

“I see. I’m so happy.”

Sara’s expression brightened instantly.

“Now then, let’s go out. If we go to the station, there will be something there.

“Hai!!”

It was a little past 5 p.m.

Sarah looked like she was ready to go out as she put her small white bag on her shoulder.

I put my wallet and phone in my pocket and turned off the TV.

“Are you sure you don’t need a bag?”

“Men, surprisingly, don’t need to carry bags. We’re just going out for dinner.”

“Is that how it is?”

“Yeah.”

I walked to the door, put on my usual sneakers, and left the house.

Sarah wore white sandals.

The two of us started walking side by side to the station.
