I'm The Boss's Secretary?!

Chapter 14 - The Four Iron-clad Rules!

By the time Han Seoyeon exited the office, Kang Taehee saw the teacup on her hand and spoke. "Did the Mr. Jung ask you to make a new tea for him?"

"Yes, can you please show me the way and perhaps tell me the Tea he likes?" Han Seoyeon inquired, wanting to be a capable secretary so her work life could stay longer.

Because, her salary in Altar Cooperation is triple than her previous salary! A good job and fine payment for her to support her brother's university tuition. Perhaps her only problem is whether or not Jung Hwa knows who she really was. But before the man doesn't see, to see through her identity.

All is well!

"This is the tea that CEO likes, her will not drink anything other than this tea. You have to brew it personally by using the tea leaves. I guess you know how to brew the tea?" Kang Taehee asked and Han Seoyeon nodded before proceeding to brew the tea.

"Does the boss only drinks this tea and not coffee?" Most Korean people prefer coffee though, Han Seoyeon added in her thought.

Kang Taehee waved his hand gesturing a no. "I told you before but the CEO never drinks anything that colors isn't red, well that also includes food." He turned and pointed the tea that turned red.

"It's a red tea." Han Seoyeon noted.

"Perhaps if the day come when there is a red coffee then the CEO would finally taste it." He added with a hint of sarcasm. "Ah, right before anything I have to warn you of the four rules in this company especially to the CEO."

"Four rules?" Han Seoyeon asked and saw the man nodding sternly.

Kang Taehee folded his thumb to show the rest of the four finger. "First, the CEO dislikes people who are tardy. Second, the CEO dislike people who can't hold their own opinion and can't learn from his previous mistakes as he never give any people a second chance, never. Third, the CEO never tolerate liars, no he despise liars the most."

Hearing the third rule, Han Seoyeon felt her heart thundered.

"Fourth, the CEO dislikes seeing wounds. So if you scratch yourself make sure to properly bandage it especially do not let him see blood and also he detest psychical contact so don't ever touch him." Kang Taehee ended his session of warnings to the new secretary. "If you follow all that rules, I'm sure nothing would ever happen to you."

"Uh, right." Han Seoyeon replied. Then wouldn't that mean if the CEO knows she act as Wan Seulgi's blind date stand-in he wouldn't tolerate liars and fire her?!

Seojun's university tuition fee!!!! Han Seoyeon screamed internally.

While Han Seoyeon was in a state of shock, a yawn escaped from Kang Taehee's mouth. "Anyway, can you take care for a few hours? The CEO's schedule is only to coop himself at his office, he would only ask a few things since it's your first day. I will come back a few hours later."

"Where would you be going?" Han Seoyeon asked, feeling a little awkward to be alone with Jung Hwa after knowing she had break the rules,

"I'm going to retire early from the work today. Or else I will meet the end of my fate this week." He replied desperately.

"Alright. Please have a good rest." Han Seoyeon bowed. She had noticed the heavy dark circles under Kang Taehee's eyes since they met but she really didn't know that he was extremely tired.

"What made him tired, though?" Han Seoyeon murmured to herself. "Perhaps this company is a black company that overwork its workers like a cooperate slaves?" She inclined her head before shaking it, the payments is larger than normal companies, meaning the company would just make her work as hard as her payment. She tried to think things in a positive way.

After preaparing the tea, Han Seoyeon inhaled a mouthful of breath to calm her nerves and knocked on the door lightly with a tray on her hand. "CEO Jung, I have prepared the tea."

"Come in." Jung Hwa said for Han Seoyeon to enter. She quickly brought the tea to his desk, placing it silently and inched back before wanting to fade back to being a shadow.

"Wait." Jung Hwa called after taking a sip from the tea. When she heard him talking, she could almost feel her heart jumped out in surprise. Don't tell me, he finally realize who I was...? Han Seoyeon gulped, her new salary for her little brother is going on drain now! Yet unexpectedly, Jung Hwa spoke of a different matter than the one she had on her mind. "Secretary Han, the tea is too bland please make a new one."

"Bland?" Han Seoyeon repeated, looking at him quizzically. 'I made sure to make the same way as Mr. Kang's instruction. Perhaps I was bad at making it?'

"I will quickly make another one, CEO Jung." Han Seoyeon replied before taking the teacup and trotted out to the pantry room and retried to make a new tea again. When she was done after making sure it was perfect, Han Seoyeon knocked again on Jung Hwa's office to place the tea upon his desk and this time she waited for his comments.

Jung Hwa spared a glance at the tea, taking it for a single sip to give and answer with his expression. "Still the same. Once again, Secretary Han."

Han Seoyeon blinked but it was her policy not to back down until she achieve her goal and fix her mistake. Thus without a minute late, Han Seoyeon repeated going in and out of both the pantry room and the CEO's office and each time, she held a tray of red tea between her.

"Not yet." Jung Hwa rejected.

Jung Hwa placed the teacup aside, "Still bland."

"Still a no." Jung Hwa went back and typed.

"It's the same as before."

"I don't think the taste change." He added a little question. "Did you give me the same cup the entire time?"

"No." He rejected again for the seventh time.

"No."

"Not yet."

Even Han Seoyeon herself had lost count of how many tea she made that day after the eleventh red tea. Placing the tray on the pantry, she wiped her sweat, cursing. "What the hell make the tea taste the different?" She took a cup that Jung Hwa used and took her spoon to taste the difference between the teas but found nothing wrong with it. "It all taste the same so what's the problem?" Or perhaps, it's because she's a commoner that she just couldn't taste the difference of teas?

She turned to see the last tea leaves that she could use. She had been careful on not using her last card but if this time it doesn't work, then she will call Mr. Kang even if she knew the man is very tired right now!

Bringing the red tea with her, she inhaled a mouthful of breath before marching to his office. This time unlike the first, she held her fiery eyes straightforward and placed the teacup beside him.

Waiting for his comments of the tea was like waiting for a lottery. She stared at him heatedly as he took a sip.

"Mhm." Jung Hwa hummed in approval before pulling a smile and lifted his chin toward her. "This is delicious, good job, Secretary Han."

I did the same brewing technique as before though?! How could it taste different?!!
