I'm The Boss's Secretary?!

Chapter 222 - Sorting Out-III

Min Beomgyu straightened his back as he was left alone with the pureblood. He wondered why Jung Hwa didn't agree to enter the associates from an early time. After seeing his skill of keeping the grim poker face of a smile which was somewhere on the line of violent, and his remarkable observing skill where he didn't miss a single thing from their conversation, Min Beomgyu had a feeling that if Jung Hwa had wished for a higher position in the Associate, he would have been able to. Not to forget, the power he had as a first generation pureblood vampire which was exceptional, should give him all quality needed of a high Associates member.

It was somewhere unfortunate that the man's living ambition was to kill every last dark witch and find his mother's killer, as he could have done more than that.

"Yes, this is the power of a different witch, which is not written as a colored witch," Min Beomgyu replied, his hand rolling the scroll he had settled on the table before.

"Stop getting around and around like a bird needing to die and get to the point, would you?" The threaten Jung Hwa stated was subtle but enough to have Min Beomgyu gulp. "Go on, we don't have time."

Min Beomgyu, at first, didn't know what Jung Hwa meant by having no time when the sky was not dark enough for him to be afraid of the dark witches lurking in the night. He then realized it was Seoyeon.

Understanding what was going on, Min Beomgyu explained, "I thought it was odd with the naming of the witches. It could be that this was something important. There are four types of colored witches, red, blue, yellow, and white. With only one that was different."

"Dark witch," Jung Hwa interrupted the white witch, understanding what he meant. "Instead of using the word 'black' witch like the rest of the colored witches, they used the word 'dark'."

"Yes, then it dawned to me that the naming was crucial. There were not four colored witches but five, with black included. Another two types of witches that I like to believe to be the primary witch are Dark witches and Light witches."

Jung Hwa hummed, was this the reason for Seoyeon's unique ability?

"What do you know about light witches?" Jung Hwa inquired, his eyes were black in color with a small hint of red hidden beneath.

"I do not know much," replied Min Beomgyu, with his brows knitted, "I was hesitant to reply this earlier as it is but a hypothesis of mine. Nothing is being proofed here. But I drew the conclusion that the light witch's power is to gather about three to four power of other colored witches; and if the light witch is stronger, they would be able to cover almost any power deprive of the five colored witches, excluding black witch."

"But Seoyeon was able to draw two," Jung Hwa replied, his eyes looking at the scroll which was now in Min Beomgyu's hand.

"It would be too early to think so, the power of a witch's grew over time. It had been only a few weeks since Miss Seoyeon learned of her being a witch, but amazingly, without learning the basics of spells or to utilize her power, she was able to create a potion that is much more deadly for a dark witch." Min Beomgyu also questioned Seoyeon's birth in his mind. Somewhere, the girl had the power that was raw and strange at the same time. "Because I do not own more information regarding light witches and Seoyeon's birth, it would be hard to find more facts. We could hold another test after two or three months to see if there would be a change, for now, it would be best for Miss Seoyeon to learn about spells and potions."

Jung Hwa watched the books that the white witch took out from his bag. When Seoyeon had come back, she saw the thick books taken out from the bag, and she wondered how could that many books fit inside it as it didn't seem to be large enough to hold as much book as he had taken out on the table.

"It would be great if you could study these books, Miss Seoyeon. This would help you to do things and best, as you are a red witch, you would be able to use active verbal spells that could act as offense and defensive measure," said Min Beomgyu when he noticed Seoyeon stood near the door.

She came beside Jung Hwa as if it was natural and placed the book she was told to bring on the table. Seeing that they were done with things they had to discuss, Jung Hwa stood up from his seat, and Min Beomgyu followed.

Once they had made out of the door, Min Beomgyu had time as he had slowed his walk to speak to Seoyeon, "Miss Seoyeon, if you would like to hear my words, I think you would have to remember more of your lucid dream."

Seoyeon sided her head to the shoulder, "Remember the details, you mean?"

Min Beomgyu shook his head, "I can't help but to think the lucid dream was trying to tell you something. As this is just my thought that had no wall to support, take my words with a grain of salt. It was often said that a lucid dream appeared in one's dream to tell the dreamer of a meaningful warning or perhaps memory in your case. But if your dream is yet to tell what they convey, you should dream of it once again and find the meaning of the dream."

It made sense. Seoyeon could tell it would be dangerous for her to enter a lucid dream as the last time she had dreamed, her feet were wounded with blisters. The people inside the dream appeared to be unable to see her, which was less dangerous. If she keeps her eyes on her surroundings and avoids getting wounded in the dream, it should be safe, thought Seoyeon to herself.

"How would I be able to dream the lucid dream again?" She asked before her eyes turn to look at Jung Hwa, who didn't say anything. She was sure he could hear their conversation that made it easy for her than to explain, and she continued with the talk.

"Best to keep remembering it. A lucid dream is said to appear because the dreamer wishes to know about a certain thing," explained Min Beomgyu. "But remember to proceed with caution. I have never come across lucid dreams before. If there anything I found useful, I would be in contact again."

Once Min Beomgyu left, Jung Hwa silently followed Seoyeon, whose mind was on clouds as her eyes fixed at nothing distinct. Jung Hwa could tell the confusion going through her. She had kept in the dark for too long. Whether it was her birth parents to which was still at a loss clue, her foster parent's hidden work, and her brother's true nature. Seoyeon had always been in a place of cluelessness.

Seoyeon was boxed in mysteries she was never aware of.

"Just one more step, Seoyeon," came Jung Hwa's voice to her ears that fell deaf on her surrounding. Seoyeon jerked from her dazzle on his words. She turned her face at him, and she didn't know since when her heart feels at peace when seeing his face.

It was as if now, Jung Hwa had become her solace, the person she could turn to.

"Why would you do this all for me?" she questioned, her eyes somewhat shimmered with the light. Shadows from the hallways that were dark without light clutched on her back with Jung Hwa holding the brightest light.

Jung Hwa leaned forward, his smile was pulled and twist while staring at her. "Have I not tell you all my intention for you, Seoyeon?"

Seoyeon was not behaving coy. She knew that there would be no one again in her life who would be ready to go to such an extent for her. It was clear from everything she went through, Jung Hwa had always kept her as his priority.

Somewhere deep in her, Seoyeon feared taking another person in her heart. It was because she was afraid. If one day were to come where Jung Hwa disappeared, she would not be able to take the pain without breaking to pieces. She had lost too many, and she didn't want to lose him.

"No, you have," she whispered, her eyelashes fluttered that looked fragile under his eyes.

Jung Hwa wondered why the sudden question. He didn't ask her and chose to wait. With his knowledge of love, Jung Hwa knew what he had done to Seoyeon. He slowly swung her gently in his love, like a crib of a baby. There had been many attacks they received for the past one month. To one, his fights with dangerous witches could be said as a risk for loving Seoyeon. But that was not how it is for him.

Jung Hwa saw Seoyeon's plight as his chance. As harsh as it sounded, this was how he honestly felt.

Jung Hwa knew how twisted he was, and how his love was heavy. This love of his was not yet shown as he had only shown her the gentle side of him. He didn't want to force his love on Seoyeon in one heap and decided to wait. The hitches given by the dark witches was the perfect opportunity for him to shine to her eyes.

And even though he knows it was bad of him, he felt thankful to Seoyeon's aunt and uncle, who had tried to kill Seoyeon. As she lost more people to trust, it leads her to trust the only person who would be there for her every time she needed which was him.

It delighted him to see that now, Seoyeon had wrapped her mind better to who would always be beside her. He wanted to let her be free, to see others, and to befriend new people. But, at the same time, to remind her that in every corner of her happiness there would be him.

"What are you hesitating for, Seoyeon?" he asked for her eyes to look at him in an expression that makes his lips twist further.
