King of Mean

As thunder echoes across the dark sky above that battlefield, Elwin flaps his sinister wings while has an even more sinister smile on his handsome face. All he wants now is to destroy everything in front of him.

The Summer Elves begin to enter combat formation. The archers prepare their arrows while the strongest warriors position themselves in front of Valyra to defend her, as it is evident that she is the main target of Elwin's wrath now.

"What are you doing?!" Valyra asks her soldiers as Elwin flies towards her.

"We have to defend you, my Lady." A tall Summer Elf speaks respectfully. "Even if you get mad at us, we still have to defend the only heir of our House."

While that elf talks to Valyra, other powerful Summer Elves run towards Elwin, and the archers start shooting fire magic arrows at him.

"NO!!!" Valyra shouts at the same time as Elwin's sisters, but neither he nor the Summer Elves stop.

*Clang*

Elwin's dark dagger hits the sword of one of the soldiers, creating a loud metallic sound. Simultaneously, another soldier tries to attack him with a spear.

He flaps his dark wings, not to fly but to spin his body in the air, dodging that spear as he rips off the head of the soldier at his front with his dark gauntlet.

The blood of that soldier splashes on his naked body, making him look even more frightening, while he shocks the Summer Elves even more.

"It's not possible!! How did he kill that warrior of the fifth cycle of fire so easily?!" A Summer Elf thinks out loud the question everyone has.

"He's a monster!!" Others comment.

"No! He's a damn demon!!"

Fara looks at her father with an angry expression. "We must help him!! He's fighting alone!"

But he just shakes his head while looking at Elwin with a confused expression. "He is... We cannot interfere, or there will be war between us."

Ilyana, Elwin's other sister, looks at her father with an imploring expression. "We are already at war for many years. Help him, please!"

"NO ONE MOVES!!!" Tasar shouts in an authoritative tone and looks at Elwin's mother with an angry expression.

"Fuck you!!" Fara shouts and runs towards Elwin. Ilyanna runs along with her, as does a girl who comes out of the Winter Elves group.

Allyanna, Elwin's mother, looks at Tasar with a sorry expression, and he quickly runs towards her. "NOO!!"

But she wastes no time and also runs towards Elwin, and Tasar does not follow them because he fears that the Summer Elves will attack all of them.

While Elwin kills those Summer Elves who are fighting him while having to dodge the fire arrows, Valyra is extremely angry that her soldiers are not obeying her. She sees Elwin's family running towards him and fears that something will happen to them, which would make him never forgive her.

"Don't attack him!!! Back off, your idiots or I'm going to kill you myself !!!" She authoritatively shouts at her soldiers.

Half of them are unsure whether to continue attacking Elwin or stop. Then that tall Elf speaks again. "My Lady, I know he was your lover before, but now he is possessed by a demon. We must at least weaken the demon for you to save the boy."

"What the fuck are you talking about?" Valyra asks.

The Elf points to the dark clouds concentrated above Elwin. "Look at those clouds! They are giving power to the demon inside the boy."

"Bullsh-" Valyra does not believe that Elwin is possessed or is a demon, but rather he is finally accepting his dark affinity, which is not a curse and just an element of nature that their people do not accept out of fear.

But she also thinks that Elwin is being controlled by his anger and that those clouds are somehow empowering him.

[If I weaken him, he will be calm, and we can resolve this peacefully...] She thinks as she looks at the tall Elf.

Then she looks at her troops. "Alright, let's attack the demon and just that creature! We have to destroy those clouds without hurting Elwin!! If you even scratch his body, I will massacre your whole family!

The Summer Elves know that Valyra is serious, so they are even more scared without knowing who is worse, the demon or the Sun Princess.

She wastes no time and points her beautiful red sword at the dark clouds above Elwin. "Prepare the lion formation!"

"No..." Allyanna, thinks out loud as she runs towards Elwin. While she, his sisters, and the mysterious girl are less than fifty meters from him, all the Summer Elves behind Valyra kneel on the ground while holding their weapons.

Tasar also heard when Valyra talked about using the lion formation, a giant attack that many Summer Elves do together. He panics as he thinks she wants to kill them all with one great attack.

He quickly looks at his people and points back. "Run, RUN NOW!!!"

The poor and frightened Winter Elves don't think twice about starting to run. They fear being attacked from behind, but the Summer Elves seem to be too busy with Elwin, so there is a chance they could run away.

Tasar also thinks about running away, but he could never abandon his family. Then they run towards Allyanna and his children, even though he's sure that they'll all die.

Galarel is still very confused and sad because Rennyn has disappeared, but when she sees her husband run into danger, she doesn't think twice before following him. Although their family is complicated, they are totally loyal.

As Elwin's family runs towards him, yellow and red magic threads leave the Summer Elves soldiers and flow towards Valyra. That is fire mana in its raw state, flowing from the soldiers to their leader performer a massive and powerful spell.

Valyra's body begins to glow with fire energy. She literally looks like a small sun, radiating light in the midst of so much darkness.

While keeping her sword pointed at the dark clouds above Elwin, her hair starts to swing. "I summon you, Guardian of the Sun, protector of my Summer Elven Clan!!"

"ETERNAL FIRE LION!!!" As soon as she shouts, all that fire mana flows into the sky while transforming into a giant lion of pure energy.

*ROOOAR!!!* That lion roars as it cuts the dark clouds with Its claws. And the high warmth generated by the lion in contact with the black clouds immediately makes it rain.

Elwin's mother and sisters arrive behind him as soon as he finishes killing the soldiers around him. So while the rain gets them wet, they look at the big fire lion in the sky.

"I'm with you!" Fara speaks while she stands beside him.

"Brother..." Ilyana whispers as she also stands beside him.

"Son..." Allyanna looks at him with a loving expression.

Elwin's eyes remain dark as an infinite abyss as he looks at Valyra. Then he hears the whispers in his mind. [Silly girl... they don't know our power... they underestimate our darkness... use everything!! USE OUR, YOUR POWER!!"

He still doesn't know how to use his dark power; all he's doing is using his instincts, so he keeps trying his best. He lets the darkness inside his soul flow through his body freely.

As the fire lion tries to destroy the dark clouds in the sky, they begin to gather even more above Elwin. Dark energy begins to surge around his body, as does the fire mana around Valyra.

Then Elwin feels even more powerful while also feeling connected to that dark mana flowing from him to the clouds.

And just as the Summer Elves' fire mana formed a giant lion, Elwin's dark mana began to form a strange creature with wings and horns.

Those who see the strange dark creature cannot help thinking that it is an Elwin projection made of dark energy. And just as he moves his arms, so does the creature in the sky.

He smiles as he realizes he controls that creature and then flaps his wings, flying towards Valyra while the creature flies towards the fire lion.

"Elwin, NOO!!!" Tasar cries when he gets there, but no one can stop him.

Valyra smiles as she looks at Elwin. "Come to me, my love."

Then, in the sky, the fire lion attacks with Its claws towards the dark creature that also attacks with claws. And when both claws touch, those powerful energies explode, creating a wave of devastating force.
