King of Mean

*WHOOOOOOSH!!!*

A strong wind follows the powerful wave of force created by the collision of the great fire lion and the dark creature controlled by Elwin. Those creatures made of opposite energies explode, and everyone there is severely affected by that force wave.

The first ones to be affected by that wave are Elwin and his family. They feel heavy pressure pushing them against the ground while rainwater, dirt, and rocks are thrown up.

Elwin tries to flap his wings, but they start to come apart like his horns, and even the strange tattoos on his body start to disappear, just like his dark powers.

His family tries to protect themselves while the Summer Elves are also pushed against the ground. That wave of strength is so powerful that the weakest of them are crushed by their own armor, while the strongest are also injured and get unconscious.

"ELWIN!!!" Valyra screams as her body shines, specifically a jewel in her necklace. A protective barrier keeps her body safe, but she is also unable to move due to that pressure pushing her down.

He is losing his strength and begins to fall under the effect of that wave of strength. While falling in the air, Elwin sees his father step in front of his family and create an ice barrier, but the mysterious girl who followed them stays outside the barrier.

"Aila!!" Elwin flaps his dark wings one last time before they disappear completely to control his fall towards that girl.

As soon as he falls on top of her, he hugs her, and they roll on the ground. Then he covers her body with his body and hugs her tightly to protect her.

"Elwin!!" Aila also hugs him tightly.

"I am here." He speaks as the ground begins to shake. In fact, everything shakes in a radius of several miles while that wave of force continues to devastate everything in Its front.

*CRAAAAACK*

That high mountain half a mile from them collapses, and more rocks fly towards the battlefield while a big blue ball flies towards the ground.

Elwin closes his eyes because of all the dirt spinning around in the air, then those rocks that have been thrown up and those of the mountain start to fall.

He continues to protect Aila's body as many stones begin to fall on them; some of them are quite heavy, and after a big rock hits his head, he passes out.

Elwin's family has the same problem as does the Summer Elves. The rocks crush anyone without the strength to resist them or any protection.

Even the winter elves are hit by that wave and smashed to the ground. Many of them die on the spot due to their weakened states, while the others are killed by the falling rocks.

"ELWIN!!" While no one can hear or see anything in the middle of that hurricane of stones, Valyra's voice echoes until she and everyone else are covered by stone and dirt.

"..." After an unknown time, Elwin's conscience begins to awaken. He sees nothing but darkness and feels pain all over his body.

He tries to move but can't, so he realizes that the whispers in his mind are silent. But before he has time to be happy, he hears those voices whisper again.

[Don't forget... the blue-haired woman... make a deal with her...] Then the voices get totally silent.

[What...] Elwin can't think straight as he continues to feel a lot of pain all over his body. Then he again loses consciousness.

*Splash*

After feeling cold water hitting his face, Elwin wakes up again. He opens his eyes, and the light makes him protect his face as he tries to move his body.

"What... what is goin... ahhhhh!" He groans in pain while his mind is very confused.

"Stay calm." He hears a sweet voice from his side before feeling delicate hands touch his upper body and make him lie down.

Elwin's vision starts clearing, and he realizes that he is still on that battlefield. Everything looks like a mess while there are fallen rocks everywhere.

Then he looks up and sees a beautiful blue-haired girl gazing at him. The first thing that catches his attention is how beautiful her face is, but then he quickly realizes that he doesn't know what race she is from.

She looks a bit like the elves, but she doesn't have long, pointed ears and a tall body, as well as a thin constitution. That is the first time he's seen a human.

Elwin also notes that there are other strange people behind that woman, but he ignores them and starts looking around. "My family..."

He hears some people speaking a language he doesn't recognize, so he feels those delicate hands touching his body again.

The blue-haired girl gentle makes Elwin look at her. "Listen to me, you are badly hurt, and we have to get out of here right now."

Even badly injured, Elwin takes that girl's wrist and speaks firmly. "I'm not going anywhere without my family!"

As soon as he takes her arm, one of the men behind her quickly moves towards them and touches her shoulder. But she seems to be upset and points out her open hand to him. Blue light comes out of her hand and throws that guy back several meters.

Elwin hears people speaking in a strange language again. From their tone, he understands that they are arguing, and some of them seem to disagree with the actions of the blue-haired woman.

Then she looks at him again. "We can take some people with you, but only a few ones!"

While he nods, the blue-haired woman points to a figure on the ground. "Is she your family?"

"Yes, she is also my family." He quickly replies and then lets go of the blue-haired woman's arm while continuing to look around for the rest of his family.

Despite not being able to stand, Elwin quickly sees a male figure in familiar clothes knocked under some rocks. "There! It's my father."

The blue-haired girls quickly point in the direction of Elwin's father and speak something in another language. Then two girls run over there and start moving those rocks away.

Elwin observes everything with his heart beating so fast. He was not afraid to face the Summer Elves army alone, but he is afraid that his loved family is dead.

The girls quickly take the rocks off Elwin's father, and one of them checks his body while the other moves other rocks. Upon realizing that Tasar is dead, the girls put his body aside and bring four women to Elwin's side.

He is sad because his father is dead but happy because his mother and sisters are alive. The fourth woman is Galarel, the mother of Fara and Rennyn. Elwin doesn't hate her for his brother's mistakes.

Elwin looks at the girl who carried his sisters. "My father..."

She shakes her head while making a sorry expression. Then the blue-haired woman looks at Elwin. "He died protecting those women; this is a good death."

"I want to take his body to give him a decent funeral." He points to Tasar's body.

"Alright, but we can't take anyone else." The blue-haired woman responds.

Elwin nods, but then he notices a piece of red fabric beneath another huge rock dozens of meters away from them. That fabric has a special glow and is used in the clothes of the most important people of the Summer Elves Clan.

"Valyra..." He thinks out loud and points to that rock.

"Valyra???" The blue-haired woman makes a confused expression. "Isn't she the woman who wanted to kill your people? We won't bring her with us."

Elwin looks into her eyes with a determined expression. "So we don't have an agreement."

She rolls her eyes. "Agreement??? You are almost dying, and I am the only one who can help. Do you want my help, or not?!?"

"The only reason you are helping me is that you want something from me. I won't give it to you unless you give me what I want, and what I want is for you to help my family and Valyra." Elwin responds.

"Why do you want to help her now?" She asks. "I heard you saying you were going to kill her a few minutes ago."

"That is exactly the reason. Only I can kill her... And I will do it slowly, very slowly." He explains.

The blue-haired woman sighs. "Alright... but you will have to make a blood pact with me right now."

"What is a blood pact?" He asks.

"It is a way of ensuring that we are going to keep a promise." She explains. "If we don't keep our word, our blood will boil inside our bodies and kill us."

"And what do you want from me?" Elwin quickly asks.

The blue-haired woman's confident expression begins to fade as her face gets flushed. In fact, she seems to be getting embarrassed, which leaves Elwin perplexed.

"I want you to be my dual cultivation partner!" She speaks as fast as she can.

"Dual cultivation???" Elwin has no idea what that is, but he realizes that one of the men behind the blue-haired woman makes an angry expression simultaneously as the two girls next to her smile.
